Both my kids slept in their own beds all night! One or both has been sneaking into our bed for the past month or so. Having the bed to ourselves was pretty amazing! We are going to pick out tile for our bathroom remodel today and depending on how my daughter is feeling (she was a tad feverish yesterday) we are suppose to go to the beach with my husbands mom, brother and sister and families tomorrrow.

Working today, then tomorrow is our first of 3 monthly prenatal classes! I'm hoping it really helps with DH's anxiety about feeling like he doesn't know what's going on during conversations with the midwives and doula, so he can participate in conversations instead of feeling like he's eavesdropping on them talking to me. I also borrowed a book called "The Birthing Partner" from the library to read out loud with him for the same reason (and so I know a little more what to expect).
@FSUNole31 yay for having to bed to yourself! I usually send DD back to her room when she comes in but last night we rented Arrival so when she came in I gladly accepted her cuddles! I had weird dreams all night!
My in laws are coming today to stay until Monday and I couldn't be more excited!! I have awesome In laws and and I love them so much. Still trying to decide if we should ask them to babysit tonight so we can have dinner alone or hang out together. I'm sure their answer would be yes of course.
I also bought a 7ft kid size trampoline that should be here Monday so I'm hoping FIL can help put it together since DH will be at work. I wanted more backyard entertainment for the kiddos with a baby coming this summer and Us most likely staying home more.
--- I bump from my phone and it corrects the oddest things so im sorry if my posts are annoying. Like when I type more it changes it to meow sometimes and us becomes U.S. It's so annoying!!!
This is the first weekend in a long time emended we have nothing going on. I'm so excited about this. I might go get a pedicure and I'm going to hit up the trade in event at BRU.
I have a pretty low key weekend planned. Watching The Lorax with my son now. And then later this afternoon I'm helping my parents move exactly TWO minutes away from my house. I can't decide if this is good or bad yet. I would love for them to spend more time with my son (who they adore and spoil with love and lots of playtime fun). And obviously more help right around the corner once this LO gets here. But my mom and I can't spend too much time together because then we start going at it. I hope we can stick to some limits and everything can be fine. But she already made a comment about "popping by all the time just to see (my son)." I hope we can work out some boundaries to make it work
DS has been up and wild since 3 am. Like bouncing off the walls. He has never done this before. We have a 1st birthday party this afternoon and a friends party tonight. This is going to be a disaster. Everyone is exhausted.
My Inlaws took my DD overnight so I got to sleep in. Today I should the first day my DD has dance class and swim lessons on the same day, so that will be interesting this afternoon is she fights nap. I need to go to Costco and grocery shopping this weekend. And I have a mountain of prep work to do for my students.
We have no plans for today and I'm so excited about it. I just got done working 3 nights in a row and only had last night and tonight off before I start another 3 tomorrow so the lazy day is welcomed for me.
Girls weekend with my college roommates, spending time in French Lick, IN. Plan for the day involves gym, pool, massages and a fancy dinner. They surprised me with sprinkle gifts and cupcakes last night. Lucky lady!
@JessyKV, definitely ask them to babysit! I hope you get a night out.
We have a low key weekend. My girls are getting haircuts today and then we're going to shop for baby. That's literally all we have planned.
**For anyone still on the hunt for car seats, Amazon has the Britax B-safe for $157 (orig. $210) and Graco Snugride 35 for $120. Sale only good until 2/28.
We are headed to the gym. Ugh. Then I'm babysitting at 4 until who knows when. Tomorrow I have to work in the morning. Other than that we will do some cleaning, maybe grocery shopping and other general things we don't get to during the week!
Heading to Great Wolf Lodge in a little bit to celebrate my son's 4th birthday!

I'm going to a La Leche League meeting in a few hours and then to a friend's bridal shower. This evening/tomorrow will likely be working on the nursery a bit more and maybe movies with DH.
I'm spending the morning at the salon! I'm getting some color and a trim. It's nice to still have the time to pamper myself before the baby comes in June! This afternoon my husband and I are going to a baby class. Looking forward to a nap after that.
I finally ordered some motherhood maternity yoga capris from Amazon. DH and I walk a couple miles around our neighborhood every morning (this is the only exercise I get right now) and this morning my regular workout pants felt snugger than ever. If I'm going to keep up these walks I'm going to need something that fits over this bump ASAP.
I'm not sure what I want to do today. We recently painted our living room so I kind of want to head over to Home Goods at some point and look at getting a tryptic for our empty wall. And maybe look at some decor for the baby's room...

I hit up Sherwin Williams for paint and Sam's club for groceries this morning. We're finishing up the new guest room this weekend so we can assemble it and start on DD1's room in a few weeks. Let me tell you: when picking out a house NEVER go with one that has both textured walls and popcorn ceiling. It is the worst to get clean paint lines.

I'm off to a sprinkle this afternoon. DH is sanding down a dresser we got off a yard sale site so we can paint it for the boys' room and move the smaller nursery size dresser to our room for the baby's corner. I will feel so much better when I can start organizing baby's stuff. Right now everything we have so far is just in a wooden blanket chest, and I have anxiety not knowing what we have and what we still need.
I just cleaned up the house and had the kids do their chores. We're meeting up with our best friends and my sister for lunch at our favorite Austin based wing place and I'm going to eat allllll the fried things (gimme those fried pickles omg).
I just got back from the Disney Princess runner's expo. I bought haunted mansion themed sneakers because I'm a giant 5 year old. They glow in the dark.

Taking the dog for his first training session today, then trying to watch a couple more movies before the Oscars. We are big movie fans, even got married in an old movie theatre, and the Oscars are always a day or two away from my Birthday, so we try to have some fun with it. Tomorrow will be pizza and birthday cake before heading to a friend's house to watch the awards. Oh, and today we put together a super comfy recliner that I got for my birthday and tomorrow my Mom is bringing me gifts of comfy maternity clothes, lol. Oh, how priorities have changed. I still get a pizza party though!
@mezalune French Lick is gorgeous! You're not too far from me right now!

@mezalune, I love French Lick!! Not too far from me either! Apparently I live near @swanbrooner too!
I ran my trail race this morning, and now I want to die. Why in the hell I think I can just wake up and run a quarter marathon is beyond me...I'm way too old for that crap! The weather blows my mind...yesterday it was 75 degrees and sunny. This morning, for the race, the windchill was 18 degrees, 20+ mph winds, and snow. Awesome, thanks weather.
My big plans for the weekend include a hot bath, Aleve, and ice packs on my knees. I'm bringing sexy back.
Dd slept until 9:30 this morning. That was awesome.
Tonight I think we are going to go check out a new middle eastern restaurant about 45 minutes away. I'm excited. I have been craving falafel recently, and I really don't want dd growing up like i did only being familiar with classic American food and the occasional Chinese take out, so it's a win on two fronts.
It's been a few days since I've been on TB as my parents are here! Working on the nursery (painting) and did a huge cooking day yesterday afternoon after visiting with my grandma and aunt for the morning. My parents recently spent 3 weeks in San Miguel, Mexico for a culinary tour so we cooked various authentic Mexican dishes yesterday...I can't even begin to tell you alllllllllll the delishesness we cooked/ate. Still in a food coma today, heading to my sisters tomorrow!

So excited about going to BRU!! I traded in my old infant car seat. I had the Chicco key fit 30. I wanted the same because of my stroller and still have several bases. Well the only one was a green on clearance. I brought it to the front only to be told I couldn't use the coupon on clearance items. I gave my "poor me what am I going to do last day" performance and the manager gave me the 25% off the clearance price. Score!!!!
Took a walk this morning and after struggling to push our falling apart double stroller, went to the trade in at BRU and got a single stroller (ours lives at my mil's house since she watches my 2yo during the day), and a shower gift for my sister! Thought about it and decided we don't need a double stroller anymore for a 5yo, 3yo, and baby. I did order a riding board to attach to the back of the single stroller so my big ones can have a place to take a break on longer walks.
Well I've been up since 4am for no reason. The hubs and I are on our way to spend the night in another city for our wedding anniversary. We're going to the melting pot tonight for dinner! I'm so excited. I love that place.
Pretty sure I was just hearing phantom baby cries. I am babysitting but the baby is sleeping. The TV is on and I was washing bottles and I swear I heard her crying. But she wasn't. Is this a thing that happens or am I just weird?

Wait until you have your baby. You'll be in the shower and ask your husband 800 times if the baby is crying. phantom cries are totally a thing.

DH and I heard phantom baby cries ALL the time. We felt like we were going crazy and, yes, they always happen in the shower.

Well, the water was running while I was washing bottles so maybe running water makes it happen! And it wasn't any baby cry, it was HER distinct cry! I kept asking the 2 year old if her sister was crying!
