@Louise_Belcher sorry you are sick, but hooray for free slurpees!
@OmegaRose3 the glucose drink gave me the worst heartburn ever. So bad that I almost messed up the test by taking a Tums before my blood draw without even thinking about it. It's been awful ever since so I've been blaming it on that too.
Good luck to everyone with their GD tests coming up!
Nothing BR, just normal cleaning and catching up from the week. We are heading to buy a new toilet for the master bedroom in just a little bit because something broke and it takes like 20 minutes for the tank to refill with water.
I am also now at the stage when I hate getting dressed and wished I could stay in pjs all day so I just finally got ready at 4:30 pm.

I just got back in my pajamas. I too wish I could stay in them all day, even at work.
I had an exciting day - DH and I made an offer on a house! Now I just have to hope and pray that they accept and everything shakes out the way we want it to. This was the 11th house we looked at during this shopping go-round (we had looked a few years ago in another area but didn't buy). We both walked in and fell in love with it, and it's at the low end of our budget. I'm amazed that I actually got that "this is the one" feeling, while also picking a house that's really practical!

@CherryBananas I'm glad I'm not just being crazy...I swear the glucose drink started some horrible acid reflux because it's been killing me since I drank it. On the day of I felt like I was going to belch fire
Ours is being finished, I hope it's all ready by our planned closing date of Mar 9. I can't nest yet because we're not there yet. So my day today was: get up at 11, shower, breakfast, watch Say yes to the dress while browsing the internets, clean a tiny little bit, second breakfast at 5. Lol.
We're going to the Home Show tomorrow to look at blinds and such.
Should get in some studying time this weekend too, while I'm actually awake to pay attention to the lector. Lol.
@thistlenweeds, I'm with you on the no nesting for a while. If all goes well with this house, we'll be moving in April, so I'll have a month or so left to get ready. I just keep reminding myself that all I really need is a bassinet next to the bed.

@thistlenweeds and @kns1988 I'm in the same boat. We are moving to a bigger place before baby comes (due end of May) so not a lot of nesting going on. I'm starting to get antsy... And I keep reminding myself that I still have plenty of time.
We moved cross country when DD2 was 6wks old so I had to wait to start "nesting" until after she was born! I totally understand how hard it is to wait. For all of you getting ready to move, put all your nesting drive into packing! So exciting!

@kns1988 congrats on the offer! So exciting! @swe2 have fun in St. Louis!! I'm originally from there and all my family is there so we go a lot. Make sure you get some good Italian food - it's maybe the best ever!
So do not envy all of you ladies moving while pregnant. Although, it's nice that you have excuses for anything you don't want to lift/carry
Feeling the lack of nesting worry - I have finally started buying things for the nursery but have NO decorations to speak of. I have no vision. I need an interior decorator! We also have hardly any clothes, but my first shower is a week from today! I'm so excited!
We also had 50-60 degree weather here in Indiana, but I was at work alll day today and all day tomorrow. But, I'm off monday and it's supposed to be 68!
I was MIA all day because cleaning out DD's room took a lifetime. Mostly going through some bins of clothes. Once her room was clean and we got the crib set up, my mom took us to buy a new dresser for both kiddos. It's getting delivered tomorrow and I am so excited!
Congrats on the successful housing adventures @kns1988 and @bacorrea!
I managed to outlast 95% of the guests at the wedding tonight! I'm super proud of myself. And I swear I cried more than I did at my own wedding. It was such an awesome day. The swollen ankles will be worth it tomorrow.
@CherryBananas i feel fine, just a little worried about what the heck it could have been and a little freaked out bc it could happen again at any time since they dont even know what it was.
@kns1988 how exciting to have the "this is it" feeling!! I hope it all goes well for you!!
When dh got home we all played outside (it was 70!!!!) and then did a little shopping for storage containers and file cabinet type stuff and then I got my nesting on we emptied almost the whole attic and either threw it out, took it to goodwill or packed it up! Our house will be ready 8 weeks after the twins arrive (if they are on time) so i will not be helpful and am hoping to pack as much as possible ahead of time so it is organized.
Last night i painted two ice cream things for the nursery! Here's one, ill post a pick of them hung up in the nursery thread once theyre up! I know its super simple but i needed something with all the colors
Also, not to make you nervous but I am wondering what your doctor says the odds are that the twins will be on time? I guess when I saw that comment it made me realize that I always assume that multiples will not make it to 40 weeks so now I am legitimately wondering if that is an incorrect assumption on my part.

I have an awful headache from all the pressure in the air. It's been raining here all weekend. I've got so much going on right now. We've been going through thousands of pictures, and preparing for Grandpa's viewing and funeral Monday/Tuesday. I'm also trying to keep myself busy with organizing the girls' closet. I need to make room for baby clothes. I need to plan outfits for the services. Nothing terribly exciting.
FX you hear soon!!!! Are you supposed to hear back today?
Yes, but we just made the offer last night. It seemed like a fast turn around to ask for, but I went with my realtor's suggestion. So hopefully we do hear today! The place was only on the market for 51 days, but I don't think we had any competition. We offered full asking price with the seller covering closing costs, which is a pretty standard thing to do in the area where I live.

@kns1988 the wait is brutal! We made our offer on a Saturday morning and heard back with a counter that evening. We stayed firm on our price since we had just started looking and had time to look more if it didn't work out. It got accepted the next day.
Fx yours get accepted by tonight! Also, holy crap 51 days! Houses don't stay on the market for long where I am, theres a lot of demand now.
@kns1988 it's exciting (yet stressful) when in the purchasing-a-house game. FX your offer is accepted especially since it's at your lower end of the budget and a good fit!
@bacorrea Super happy you finally found a home (with AC and one story)! Military housing (and life) sounds pretty complicated already...
We've had our own issues with trying to find a home after ours sold pretty fast. After multiple offers and cancelling of contracts due to one thing or the other... we finally found a great location of new construction homes and will be signing the contract this afternoon! FX crossed THIS IS IT!
Also, with this 3 day weekend, hoping to get some nesting in and at least go through DS' bins and sort clothing and whatnots. Our baby shower with MH's family is in two weeks and I'll need to start packing and planning for that 6 hour drive too.
Houses in our area sit for a LONG time too, ours sat for well over a year before we bought it.
Thanks yall it was fun to make!
@vrj0522 when i say if they come when theyre supposed to, i mean for our scheduled csection thats at 38 weeks... I know theres the potential for them to be even earlier though
So excited for all of you buying and renting new houses! Moving can be a pain, but getting all settled someplace you love can be the best feeling!
Random question: I typically only use the camera on my phone to take pics, and it does all right, but I'm thinking about investing in a DSLR camera or something similar so I can get some better shots. Anyone have one they recommend that is easy for a beginner to use and isn't crazy expensive?
@livin541 I got a DSLR for Christmas and I love it. I'm no professional photographer but I've had fun reading about it and learning how to do better shots . I got a Nikon D5500. Since we weren't experts on it we picked it based on the shutter speed in hopes of using it to get good shots while baby is in motion (with my thinking being that more Frames per second would allow me to catch that cute facial expression or moment better). I practiced on my nieces and nephews at Christmas. I read some DSLR magazines (DH got those for me too so I could learn the camera) and watched you tube videos. Maybe by the time we have our second baby someday I might be an awesome photog for our family
I have been doing my own version of nesting this weekend. I finished buying the nursery furniture online yesterday and since then have been going a little nutso on Etsy buying clothes and headbands and a mobile and nursery decor.
My weekend is full of cleaning out and organizing to get ready for baby. I also picked up a few things I bought off the FB Buy/Swap/Sell pages and that was pretty exciting. It's getting real!
@livin541 I am by no means a good photographer, and my in-laws have a DSLR. MH and just bought a lower end Canon before DD was born and when she was born and the days following have been the only time we have used it. Our phones are always on us or nearby, so it's much easier to access for this cute moments than having to do out the camera and hope that it's charged.
Also, Costco prints really good pictures from iPhones.
Congrats to everyone getting new houses! That's so exciting.
Our nursery is mostly set up at this point. We just have some finishing touches and are waiting on smaller stuff that we're registered for. I did pick out frames today for the wall art we still have to put up, so I'm excited to get those hung. I also went through the baby clothes I've bought so far again this weekend just to look at it...haha. Basically just took it all out of the closet and then folded them all back up. I'm guessing it won't be the last time I do that.
Ugh, they countered asking for 5K more than the listing price, they want us to pay half of the closing costs, and they want us to wait 90 days to settle which puts us the weekend before my due date. This is way too stressful. Preparing counter-counter offer now...
