  • I love that you don't want them to know you're a crazy person @migdala lol I'm the same way. My doc knows now though.... :#
  • @cooaladoll Sorry you have to cover the RE testing ... what a huge bummer to find out after the fact, especially if there was no diagnosis.

@Uhlease13 *waves* Glad you're here! Also glad you're doing well emotionally! March 3 will be here before you know it.

@mommac2017 I'd be a total wreck if they moved my appointment, even by just a day, so I get that.  Fx everything goes well tomorrow!

@Cythe Glad the first appointment went well and they could see the sac and fetal pole! Fx for next week for another good US!

@marymoore711 Fx as you get through the next week! I am irritable too, but it mostly manifests as tears. Though, if you catch me at the wrong time, watch out!

@migdala I wish so much that I was experiencing all the pregnancy symptoms in the world, and I'm also a wreck.  I'm completely sure my OB nurse thinks I'm crazy already.  But, I think they also think I'm sooo icy because of how I reacted to the MC last year.  Thank goodness they're all nice enough to not say anything.

@AlexandriaNewton Yes, you're still PGAL.  It's tough no matter when the loss happened.  I'm lacking energy as well.  I am so busy at work and still just sit there for periods of time doing nothing.

@sjohns08 I'm useless nowadays, too.  I accomplish a small task and feel proud, ha!

@amow06 I like your hobbies.  I should've added "discussing" (aka lecturing about) politics with DH.

@reneeannmm I wish I had the slightest bit of green thumb...it would certainly help distract from everyday life.  The Reproductive Life Stages program sounds like it would be very helpful and I need to look to see if they offer something similar here.  Being able to relay the PGAL craziness to someone other than H would be comforting.  Fx time passes quickly to your appointment!

  • 1) 6+4 according to US yesterday
    2) Emotional roller coaster.  US showed no heartbeat, but the US tech said that's normal.  I'm not very confident in her though....but have been reading up on it and that can be normal for some women...dang Google...sometimes it helps calm my nerves and other times it creates more questions.  Physically I don't feel bad.  A little nauseous at times, back is sore, but I have a physical job, I think just being flat out tired is my biggest complaint.
    3) I had an US yesterday, but they have to send it to the radiologist to get it officially read.  I have a midwife and with my last pregnancy she sent me to an OB she works closely with when we suspected MC.  I would've gone back to him for the US, but he was booked this week and I wasn't patient, so I went to a place where they just do US.  They did transvaginal, ugh, and said the gestational sac looked good and was implanted correctly, but no heartbeat.  DH took a picture of the US, but it's blurry, so I can't tell if there's something in there or not.  So now I'm waiting until Friday when the radiologist should have results to my midwife.  Then we'll go from there.
    4) I think I turned #3 into a rant, haha.  Question though: has anyone else been about this far along and not seen a heartbeat?  My hcg on 2/6 was 2977.5, on 2/8 was 3379, on 2/10 was 4487....rising, but not doubling. I've read where that can mean MC and I've read where that's just how some women's bodies are...also, my progesterone on 2/6 was 9.8, which is lower that we want, so of course my fear is that I have a blighted ovum and since I can't see the dang picture clearly enough, I can't tell.  Has anyone else experienced something similar? Or are experiencing that now?
    5) Going to the beach, riding bikes, yoga, I will get back to gardening soon (we moved in August, so my yard has been put on hold), I like to watch YouTube and documentaries....most recently I've been watching Dave Ramsey.  Lol, I feel so cool, haha.  And, I have to admit, I'm a Grey's fan, so I keep up with that.
  • @shara1733 hey lady, I'm so sorry about your ultrasound yesterday. I have no useful stories to add but I am crossing all the things that you just have a late starter in there!

  • Yesterday and today have dragged SO slowly for me.  I think it might be because this was the point last time when the baby first measured small and I started freaking out in earnest.  My first appointment isn't until Tuesday, at which point I'll be 6w3d, which is 2 days shy of when it stopped growing entirely last time.  I'm hoping that if everything looks good at that appointment I'll finally be able to think of this pregnancy as divergent from the last one... but in the meantime I feel like the clock is ticking slower than I've ever thought possible.

  • 1) How far along are you? 6w4d

    2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Dealing with morning sickness since Monday, I feel worse as soon as I get up in the morning and late at night. It's overwhelming and exhausting at times, but regardless of how awful I might be feeling, having these symptoms make me feel much better than not having them at all. Also, my DH has been so amazing since getting our BFP - helping with literally everything and not letting me worry about anything, his attitude and actions towards all this makes a huge difference and keep me in good mood!

    3) When is your next appointment? March 15th.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions: Going on walks with my dog has helped tremendously minimizing the intensity of the nausea during the day, so that's my rave.

    5) GTKY: Hobbies? How do you keep your mind sharp? Reading, walking, board games for two (with my hubby) and cooking international dishes together.

  • @shara1733 I'm so sorry for the uncertainty right now.  I'm hoping so hard for a good update for you soon.

Hey ladies, joining you here.  This is my second pregnancy after an early loss at 6+2 last year and infertility.  I had been spotting for a few days and found that my hcg was decreasing and miscarried the following day.  I've been feeling tentative and laying low but I'm ready to jump in now.

    1) How far along are you? 5+5 today

    2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally?  Physically I'm tired, emotionally I'm relieved (see rant) and holding onto hope.

    3) When is your next appointment?  2 weeks from now at 7+5

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions:  I woke up from my nap before work on Monday night with red/pink bleeding.  It turned brown overnight, and I've still had brown spotting on and off since, but my betas are still increasing really well and I'm feeling like I can let myself trust that baby is ok.  MH is traveling for the next two weeks and I'm praying it's an uneventful time at home alone for us.

    5) GTKY: Hobbies? How do you keep your mind sharp?  Getting lost in knitting/crochet projects and music, crossword puzzles, gardening, working on big projects with MH (right now we are doing some woodworking together), and work is constantly making me learn and listen and think critically (I'm an ED RN).

  • @virginiaham thank you!  I'm hoping the best for you too!

    @mommac2017 YAY! Woohoo! Congrats!
  • Congrats @mommac2017!!! I bet it was the sweetest sight <3
  • Thanks ladies! It definitely gave me some much needed reassurance! Hoping to see more of you posting the same exciting updates soon!!
  • @reneeannemm Hey I remember seeing you around on TTCAL. So glad to see you back on a bmb!

@shara1733 A close friend of mine had an US at 6w3d and they didn't see a heartbeat. Her doctor wasn't concerned about it and at her next US they were able to hear it! Now she's entering her 3rd trimester. I have my fingers crossed for you.

AFM, I haven't done an intro on this board yet because I'm scared I won't be around long..but here it goes. I MC on 1/9/17 at 7 weeks and my HCG had gone back to 0. DH and I had been having major problems, started attending marraige counceling, and had decided to TTA till we got things back to a good place. Well I never got AF after the MC and decided to take a pregnancy test, and it came back positive.

    1) How far along are you?
    Not quite sure..thinking 4w 3 or 4d

    2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally?
Physically the only symptom I have is peeing a lot. Emotionally, I'm a mess. I'm terrified I'm going to MC again because I didn't even have AF. But I'm also super excited that I was given this second opportunity and am praying that my baby stays sticky this time.

    3) When is your next appointment?
    2/22

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions
I went in to my OB as soon as I could after my BFP to get betas done. I think i was either 4w0d or 4w1d and my HCG came back 97. They called me and told me that number was low and they think I may be MC again but to come in for a second draw.. Is 97 really that low for that early on? And how in the world can they chalk it up to possible MC without a second number or knowing exactly how far along I am? I should have the results of the second draw by sometime tomorrow..but until then I'm worried and stressed.

    5) GTKY: Hobbies? How do you keep your mind sharp? I sew and craft a lot and try to garden in the spring.

  • @flowerintherain hi there, I remember you from the ttcal board also. That is weird that they said 97 was low considering you're not sure how far along you are. Maybe it was earlier than 4 weeks?

My first beta (at 10 or 11 dpo) was 63, then jumped to 219 48 hours later...so I'm pretty sure they just want to see that number doubling! I'm sorry but I think that sucks for them to say that! I hope yours continues to move in the right direction and fx for a sticky bean :)

    1. 3w4d. Just got my bfp this morning!!

    2. Feeling ok. Nervous. Last lost was a a cp on 1/9. This one feels different though so I'm cautiously optimistic. Cp felt off getting the get go. I got a rainbow baby 2 cycles after my last loss so I'm hoping this is my second rainbow.

    3. I haven't scheduled one. Line was faint this morning that I'm going to wait until Monday to call. OB told me I'd be watched closely this time due to age and repeat loss history so I'm sure I'll have plenty of appointments coming up.

    4. Nothing at the moment.

    5. Hobbies include coaching soccer, sewing, crochet, building things. My last project was a 10.5' farmhouse table. I love it!
  • @Mommyamp HI! So glad to see you here!!!

Thanks @migdala. I'm still in shock. Yesterday I thought I just had line eyes but today's test was faint but an obvious line. Still trying to wrap my head around it.
