I packed my hospital bag last night and today noticed it looked a little off, I opened it to find that my husband snuck in a massive bag of sour patch kids for me!! It's been my number one craving that I haven't been able to eat while pregnant. Almost 12 hours later and I'm still just as happy and excited about it as I was when I first saw it. He knows food is the way to my heart.
DH is currently ignoring me because he's mad I called him out on acting like it's a huge inconvenience for him to take our dog out to go to the bathroom. I feel no remorse since I am the main care taker. He needs to step up because this momma is NOT going to be in charge of dog duty when we are both home after the hospital. Not to mention I already hate going up and down the stairs constantly.
I'm on your side @wagnerw I don't walk the dog right now.. I let her out in the yard to pee quick if DHs gone a while but I'm too tired and sore to be walking a dog in freezing temps. It's slippery and crappy here so thankfully DH doesn't argue about it BC he's worried I'll fall.
DH went out to buy new doors for his mustang. Used doors that I'm going to count as his bday present (his bday is later this month and we are broke. Where the hell is his unemployment checks?!). I'm secretly hoping he makes a pit stop at a store and picks me up SOMETHING for Vday. Candy, something! But, who am I kidding, it's DH we are talking about....
I ruined DHs Valentine's surprise yesterday by having a hormonal moment and complaining about not having any chocolate in the house. I'm impressed he remembered this year anyway!
DH has yet another job interview this morning. So sick of these interviews. This one is not for an architectural job, it is just for a job to get us through the next 6 months or so before we can move on and try again. It is a good job though and DH would be awesome at it and it is about 4 minutes down the road from us. I'm not entirely sure if he is really qualified for it though. So, fingers crossed I get a nice valentine present!

Ok ladies, question: DH has been fever-free for more than a week now. Which with most illnesses means no longer contagious either. But mono is that one that can be contagious weeks before and weeks after symptoms are present. So far he has been unwilling to kiss me or any other form of intimacy really because he just doesn't want to risk it while I'm pregnant. But we can't go on like this forever, and yet we just don't know if he's still contagious or not. My OB was unhelpful. His doctor is unhelpful. It's a case of "dunno" to both of them. What do you all think? Should I kiss my husband for Valentine's or not? Not that you all are medical professionals. But what would you do?
@KirstinH88 haha. I think I might just have to. I don't know how we have either! We're both really physically affectionate and his love language is touch so it's been pretty miserable. It'll be a month here in a couple of days. Ugh
Today is February 14th. There are 28 days in February. Half of 28 is 14. WE ARE HALFWAY THRU FEBRUARY!!!!! Wtf! March is basically tomorrow. How is this possible? I have so much left to do.
Also, on the dog thing. I wanted to beat my husband's dog this morning. I don't have time in the morning to feed him and let him out because he just sits down in the yard. MH gets up like a half hour after me so normally he does it (his dog, his responsibility) but this morning I did it and of course, his stupid ass just went out to the grass and sat down. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Also, has anyone requested a welcome box from Walmart? My friend just told me about it. You just go the baby registry page and click on welcome box, fill in your name and address and boom. Don't have to have a registry either! If anyone has done it, did you get anything good?
@mylittleirvz I got one from wal-mart. I don't remember what I recieved but I can check when I get home. I think you should sign up for it anyway. It was pretty easy to get.
I don't know how much I'd be willing to pay someone right now to finalize the details of DD's birthday party. It's not even hard stuff ... like picking out a freaking cake from Publix. I just do. not. wanna.
@rachelgreene, I did go ahead and do it since it was so easy! Hopefully there's something useful in it haha!
@kcasset, I feel ya! DS's bday is March 12 (we are having his party on the 11th) and I just have no motivation to figure things out and get them finalized.
@HGRich@wagnerw Thanks! I was pretty frustrated with DH last night and this morning. The truth is, he is just HORRIBLE at interviews. And he won't take that fact seriously. He just acts all butt hurt and offended when I acknowledge where he could do better and try to help. Seriously, get over yourself. Your family needs you to suck it up and get better. So, I guess the interview was weird because they were sort of interviewing him for a couple of jobs at once and he was confused for the whole first half. It is a pretty big company as well and the president and her husband were there and so it was little intimidating. But, they ruled out one of the jobs and so then he could focus more on the one job they were interviewing him for. I guess he did good enough to go through though. He is going to come back and work for a couple of days so they can see how much he actually knows and how good he is at it. So, he is just waiting to hear from them when they want him to come back.

@mylittleirvz I registered for it awhile ago and still haven't received it! @RachelGreene how long did it take to get yours? They mail it to you, right?
@mrsstuessy That's great that he's passed through one hoop and they want to see him in action! Fingers continually crossed for your family.
@kirstinh88@mylittleirvz@rachelgreene I think the walmart box is a subscription. The first one is free, but they will charge you for subsequent boxes unless you cancel.

Well we just found out we are being relocated to Germany June 1. I was really hoping that if we had to move with a newborn it would be back to the states. Pretty crazy, but I guess all we can do is make the most of it and take cute photos of him in baby Lederhosen
@shaunessa they can be boyfriend and girlfriend! @BabyBlake042017 My best friends sister is currently stationed in Germany (her husband is AF). But they are moving back to San Diego sometime this summer I believe. I hear Germany is gorgeous. At least the move from England to Germany may not be as bad as England back to the states, maybe?
@KirstinH88 yes, I hear great things about Germany so I'm sure we'll enjoy it over all. It's certainly an opportunity most people don't get so that's kind of cool. I'm just so ready to be closer to family after 3 years in alaska and then 3 in England. We'll also have to sell both our British cars and get two right side drive cars again, and these moves mean you end up in a hotel for a month in between houses and waiting for your stuff to arrive. It's all totally doable and we're familiar with the process, but this time will be trickier with a new baby for sure!
Hmm. When I just tried they wanted my CC for shipping costs, and then it looked like they were trying to sign me up for something so I stopped. But it seems like I was trying to get the wrong thing.

@mylittleirvz someone on a private board I'm on got their Walmart box. It has a baby bottle, a travel diaper clutch thingy, two sample aveeno baby care items (lotion, soap) and then a bunch of ads..not even a ton of coupons.
Doesnt seem too wonderful, but I guess for free, it's alright...

@catem07 I haven't been charged anything. I Think they do have another one that is a subscription.
@kirstinH88 that is exactly what I got in my box. It took less than 5-6 weeks I think about 2ish. I got it before my Amazon welcome box and I requested that first.
Totally not baby related but I hate that when I bump from my phone it's hard to tell if I've love tit something or not. Sometimes I undo it on accident BC I've clicked it twice since it doesn't usually show up until I leave and come back to a thread
I'm dying. DH is taking the boys to school and then stopping at the store to buy me some sinus medicine. I can't deal anymore. My face feels like I've been badly beaten. It's so sore. I can't touch it or even move positions because it hurts so bad!
