I don't think they are matchy enough that you should veto Clara if you love it. They both end in "a" but different syllables and "na" vs "ra". But if you aren't that in love with Clara anyways then might as well try out some names that don't end in "a".

I don't see them as matchy at all. Love them! A large number of girl names end in -a, so I wouldn't think anything of this pair (now, don't do Leona and Fiona).
A little but I would use both if you love them! Clara is on our short list for a FN and Leona (which is a family name) is on our short list for a FN or MN.
Clara is much less common in my experience but it is rising pretty quickly. I didn't realize until I was looking into it for my girl but it is super popular in other countries too.
