had my monthly appointment today and my blood pressure has gone up to a level i have never seen . i have always had perfect blood pressure and today it was 140s/80s so now the OB is a little worried so i had to go for some blood work just to see how my kidneys and stuff are doing and then i have a bp check in two weeks. hopefully it was a fluke thing today and we dont need to worry about eclampsia down the road. after my monthly appointment we had our 3rd attempt at an A/S and this kid gets worse every time. the tech had to trick her into getting the pictures she needed. at one point her head went back and her back arched and she was throwing her arms and legs around in a melt down, it was cute and funny but hopefully not a sign of what is to come. btw if you didn't catch it....its a girl anyways everything seemed to look good once she got all the pictures she needed and she is actually measuring a couple days ahead of schedule.
@JaneJane the first time she kept her legs crossed being modest and then after a while today of trying to get a clear picture of her goodies she tried to turn as if to say that's enough of looking at me...i would def say she is shy and/or sassy
@rmarble23 OMG yay congrats on baby girl!! I'm sorry about the blood pressure. Did they check it again at the end of your appointment? A lot of times it goes down by then. I hope all your blood work comes back normal!

Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014 IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs IVF ER (July 2016) = 7 PGS normal embryos FET #1 (Sept 2016) = BFP! DD born 5/30/17 FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
@rmarble23I agree with @wifeinraleigh28 - doctors often take your blood pressure at the start of the appointment and if you were rushing around to get there then this will impact your blood pressure.
This is 3 nights in a row now that my carpal tunnel has been so bad that I am up half the night. For some reason, the first half of the night I sleep okay. But then I wake up in excruciating pain especially in my right arm. It stretches from my fingers all the way to my shoulders. I can't even lie down when it's like that, I have to walk around or sit up.
I will tolerate anything for my baby girl, but I sure hope the rest of my pregnancy won't be like this!

@nellin and @wifeinraleigh28 after you said that i did think well maybe they should have b/c i know how much it can change but its not something that is "whitecoat" related as my blood pressure has never been high so from my thoughts its not something that was going to go down at the appointment over time.
@rmarble23 hopefully your next appointment it will go down! Did they take it manually or with the electric cuff? There can be large variances in the electric to a manual. Are you having any swelling in your hands or feet?
@wifeinraleigh28 I can't remember if you said you tried any carpal tunnel exercises but it may help. Sorry you had another rough night last night. It's crazy what pregnancy will do to our bodies!
@ARB425 When I was up in the middle of the night I researched some exercises and started doing them. I'm going to do them right before bed and see if it helps. This sucks!

I'm not sure if anyone is in the market for baby gear but babies r us is having their trade in event through Monday. My MIL had old bassinet that we traded in for a 25% coupon and then she bought our stroller travel system for us. We ended up getting the Chicco bravo trio. I'm super happy because it's so easy to fold and the car seat has some nice safety features.
@rmarble23 hopefully all is good at your next appt! @wifeinraleigh28 - hoping those exercises really help you!!
DH and I decided on a stroller this weekend too! (I feel silly so soon but I've been soooo excited and nursery ideas are on hold until we know the gender in a month). We decided on the Baby Jogger City Select. DH liked it best, we had gone in for the City Mini GT. Hehe. It was fun doing that together though. Finn likes it too! He keeps testing it out lol
@ARB425 Congrats on the big ticket item purchase! After we bought our stroller + car seat (we put together our own travel system with an adapter) I started to get really impatient for our baby to arrive! Right now it's just kinda hanging out in our living room, lol.
@JWatt5 Too cute with the puppy in the stroller! We ended up getting the City Mini GT after trying them out in the store. Love the Baby Jogger strollers period! My sister has had one for years and loves it too. It's so fun buying baby stuff, I totally get not wanting to wait!
Our house is slowly filling with more and more baby stuff and it makes me so happy. My FIL recently bought us our high chair from our registry and even though we won't need it for a long time I just had to set it up and put it in the corner of our dining room, for no reason other than it makes me happy to look at!
@rmarble23 sorry to hear about your blood pressure, hoping it comes down on its own. But so excited to hear about your sassy little girl!!! Congrats!!
@jwatt5 I got the baby jogger city select too, but the double stroller version! It was gifted to me from my sister-in-law. I love all the feature!
Our gender reveal was this weekend. I am still in shock from yesterday's event, I was the best day of my life thus far. My hubby and I agree that it 100% topped our wedding day. Being told we are having twins was such a blessing- but yesterday we found out that we are having a little GIRL and a little BOY!!! The overflow of emotions from us and our family was pure joy. Now we feel like we have been doubly blessed all over again! We kept the reveal small, just immediate family, which was nice because it was such an intimate and overwhelming moment. We found out at 3 and my hubsband was in tears all day and all night. I haven't seen him that emotional in so long, I was so nice to know how happy he was! Our dream literally came true; such a surreal day! Later on our friends came by to celebrate with us. We taped it, and I'm so happy we did. I've watched the video 100 times I can't wait for my sonogram on Wednesday so I can see them again. Knowing their genders makes me feel so much more connected to them!
@Colleen0516 Oh my goodness, I'm so happy for you!!! You guys are seriously beaming in that photo. How amazing and wonderful! You brought a huge smile to my face just now
