Coming home outfit!!!

Re: Coming home outfit!!!

  • I will probably throw a size 0-3 month sleeper juuuuuuuuuuust in case. But I highly doubt I will need it. It was weeks before DD fit into 0-3 at all. Honestly, NB was actually pretty roomy on her for a few weeks.

This is the route I'm taking. DS was in NB for 6 weeks. And my weight gain is pretty minimal so I doubt I'll have a much bigger baby than what DS was.

  • I'm bringing both as well.. my daughter was 8 lb 2 but went home in a 0-3 outfit.. We didn't pack a NB as my family has big babies ( niece was 10lb 8 oz, another 10lb 6, nephew was 9lb 10) so I just assumed I was going to birth a toddler.. It was a little roomy but not a big deal.. I have a couple outfits in NB washed and will wait until the baby is here to see if I wash or exchange the rest.

My babies were 8lb3oz and 8lb4oz so far and this one seems on track to be in the 8lb range so I'm just bringing nb. Both my girls were in nb for about 3 wks and 0-3 was too big.

If my my husband and I had both been 10lb babies though I'd bring both sizes just in case.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

  • These outfits are so precious! Is is bad I kind of want to use the same one my first daughter came home in? She will already mostly be wearing her sister's clothes.

That's my biggest decision. I actually think it would be cute to have that tradition/comparison of them coming home in the same outfit.

  • @kirstinh88 & @jennielynn+ I am pretty sure that the new baby will be coming home in the same outfit that DS came home in.

I am not sure what to do about photos at the hospital though.  DS wore a cute knit hat, but it seems too wintery (he was a November baby) for an April baby.
