@KirstinH88 I had this happen with my wedding registry years ago. I think that if someone scans your registry at check out other items purchased can be added.
@KirstinH88 So, I had this happen with DS's registry so I asked about it. The store told me that if someone scans the registry when they're checking out, all of the stuff that they bought will be added to the "purchased" section of your registry to make it easier to do returns. So, if someone bought a blanket off of your registry and a bunch of onesies that weren't on your registry, they would both show up there so that you could return the onesies without a receipt or anything if you decided you didn't want them (if that makes sense..my brain is refusing to brain this morning).
@KirstinH88@Nolegirl1185@HappyAnjel This happened once with my Target registry. There were some onesies, a cute little dress, bows and shoes on there that I had not registered for. Turns out it was one friend who purchased all of those things together, but I have no idea how they ended up on the actual registry. Maybe the cashier was confused? Honestly I just let it go because it's the only time it's happened, but it was super weird.
I used to work at Bed, Bath and Beyond in high school. If the cashier scans the registry at all while checking out, anything purchased after it's scanned is added to the registry to make it easier for returns. It's odd but helpful since you may not actually want those items purchased since you didn't register for them anyways What really gets interesting is when the cashier scans the registry first and people buy random things in addition and don't tell the cashier. I had a lady come in asking why there was canned soup added to her wedding registry. Haha!
My baby shower is in a week and all my big ticket items have been purchased and my MIL is asking what else we want. What item would you pick if someone wanted to spend $100-200? I'm at a total loss as I ended up finding a lot of the more expensive items used. So far I've come up with a Ju-Ju-Be BFF but I think she'd prefer something for the baby.
@LittleChick2 Not sure if you already have these items or if you are even interested in these items, but I would do a wrap or carrier of some sort. OR a video monitor. The video monitor is still on my list of things to get and I'm hoping that I will get a lot of gift cards at my shower on Saturday so we can purchase it.
It's super pricey but the hulls it's made out of stick to each other so when you get it positioned right, it actually stays put. I have tested it several times with my first and loved it.

@HGRich I'm glad you brought of glasses/contacts because that's something I want to put into my birth plan!
With my first labor, I woke up in the middle of the night with contractions. I wore my contacts all day but by the middle of the night the next day, I had switched to glasses. So in really active labor and pushing, I had my glasses on. I hated it. I was super sweaty and they kept slipping down my nose. I really wish I had the foresight to have worn glasses in earlier labor and then put contacts back in for the sweaty parts. Lol! I'm sure not everyone gets so hot but it was definitely the case for me.
Also, sounds super vain, but I HATE the way I look in my glasses so in all the birth photos that's one of the first things I notice....

Not vain at all! I look back at the pics and video of me wearing my glasses and i'm like "ugh". I guess because I only wear my glasses when I'm feeling "ugh" like Monday mornings to work! So this time around I'll definitely wear my contacts, just because I want to look a little put together. I'm not a make-up wearer at all, but being able to see my happy face and not frames will make me happy and make me feel a little more confident.
Add another one to the I hate how I look in my glasses group. Thankfully had DS during the day so I had my contacts in but if I go into labor at night with this one I am going to have to remember to switch.
