My DH would say the same thing! Haha as long as he lets me get a little sleep after delivery I'm fine with leaving the baby in our room!
@Stankonia2014 yes!!! That whole shit show made my blood boil. I never hear of them doing great things for or with their fans, just stories of them acting and saying how important they are.
@Wino0920@Stankonia2014 I must've been living under a rock as I never knew other patients were inconvenienced or impacted at all by them... just went and looked at old articles and the twin dad being blocked from the NICU is insane! I've never been a fan of Beyonce and Jay-Z but wow... can't believe the hospital allowed that to happen to other patients, esp. NICU, the hospital's priority should've been to provide medical care first not celebrity privacy.
So excited! We just got little man his carseat! We got him a clek foonf. They are normally $500 and we got it on sale for $360! Albee baby.com is having a big sale right now. Clek, britax, maxi cosi, bob strollers are all on sale right now. Probably a bunch more too. Just thought I would share.
@Wino0920 and @Stankonia2014, you know they aren't celebs to like when their celeb besties are Kimye. The Kardashians are one of my guilty pleasure shows but I cannot stand Kim. I tend to fast forward through her parts.
@Elyse1384 It is so cruel to allow me to order my cookies at the beginning of January, but then not deliver them until sometime in February. I'm still waiting on mine. It will take even more strength to wait until my Thin Mints are frozen (so good) to inhale them!
We don't usually do big valentines gifts (husband and I) but I think I may straight up ask for a giant heart box with chocolates. Pregnant girl problems.

@FSUNole31 i asked for Sushi, in bed, by myself. I want to enjoy my food and watch a chick while the husband handles the children. Food gifts are the best!

@EmeraldNC I'm glad to hear H's court date went well. DH just got finished with a year long battle with his ex (because she's a crazy - she was trying to take him back to court to take time away and increase his child support (conveniently filed paperwork for this the same week they closed on a house that was increasing their monthly housing expenses by $500). Ours cost us over $10k, and we ended up not getting much changed except his child support increased and we got court ordered permission to take SS to Disney with us when we go in April. Totally worth the money.... {insert eyeroll emoji here}
I had a total pregnancy brain moment tonight. I went out to dinner with my dad, and left my wallet at the restaurant. I didn't realize it was missing until after I had put DS to bed....so now DH has to go back to said restaurant when he gets out of work from his part time job so I don't have to drive to work without my license tomorrow.
I feel for all you ladies dealing with court matters over SO's exes. So tough (financially and emotionally).
I am disgusted with myself today. After downing those Girl Scout cookies earlier, I got Dominos for dinner. I only had enough leftovers to feed the kids or myself, so naturally the kids won. Too lazy to cook, I ordered delivery. Ugh... Now I have regrets. Did I need the pizza AND cheesy bread??? It tasted so right, but feels so wrong.
@swanbrooner when does the new season start? I am a latecomer to the drag race but have been sucked completely in.

@Elyse1384. I made dinner for my kids and DH but then made myself a Totinos party pizza instead of the healthier dinner I made them. I have a problem. I'm not sure why I crave crap pizza but it's oh so good! I also ate chocolate in the hallway while my kids took a bath.
We actually sat down and ate dinner as a family tonight. It is such a rarity with how DH's and my work schedules are that I can't remember the last time it happened. And DS ate his entire plate of salmon, green beans and mashed potatoes. My face was like
I had hubs pick me up a pizza on the way home. Thank you Pizza Hut for your 10 dollar all the toppings you want deal!!! Scarfed down 3 pieces like a champ!
Anyone's OB requiring the Tdap vaccine between 32 and 36 weeks?
Don't flame me too bad... I have gotten my flu shot every fall for years but this year I was worried about getting the right one and kept forgetting to ask while at the OB appts.
Whelp... I remembered today and got the one with 4 strains and no mercury from my OB. OMFG my upper arm is killing me so I'm currently laying in bed but can't lay on my left side, therefore can't sleep.
If the flu shot is making me this sore I'm dreading the Tdap as it has historically made me feel like I was punched in the arm for days...
@michaela0704 - it is recommended by CDC after 28w. It is definitely a guarantee for sore arm no doctor should require it, but it is recommended in all pregnancies irrespective of when you had it last, and that all adults caring for infant are also vaccinated. I'm dreading it, tho!!

@michaela0704 I've gotten it in 3rd tri with my first two, so I'm sure I will again. I doubt it's actually "required", but strongly recommended. I'm a big fan of doing what my Dr recommends for the most part, especially when it comes to vaccines, so when they mention it I say yes, please!
@michaela0704 I'll get it at 28 weeks like I did last time...the theory is that some of the immunity can pass to the baby that way which is good because the baby won't get its first tdap until 2 months and whooping cough is fatal in infants. DH got his before our honeymoon and the booster lasts 5 years so he's still covered from that. I don't technically need a booster since I had them in 2014 for the honeymoon and 2015 with DD but I'll still get it for this baby's sake. My arms hurt at night regardless from the side sleeping...haha.
My 8th grade math class did a whole project that centered around doing a bungee jump with a Barbie, Action Figure, etc. off the 12 foot gym balcony. They did all of their graphing and predictions based on a 5 foot jump experiment in our classroom. If Barbie goes below the 6 in line or above the 6 in line by more than 3 inches, it was not a successful jump. The team with the best jump wins. I am so nerdy excited to see how this works out!!!
Paging @sls ... just wanted to check in and make sure you're doing alright! I knew you were going back in for an a/s due to that one office u/s tech being lame... hope all is well!

@michaela0704, my OB strongly recommends it after 28 weeks as well because of the whooping cough portion of it. I'm all for it since DS got whooping cough at 6 months when he was only partially protected from it and that was hell. I can't imagine dealing with it in a babe younger than that so I'll do what I can to prevent it. But I totally feel you on the sore arm. It's terrible! I noticed with my flu shot that since I did it in my dominant arm this year it didn't get near as sore and I'm wondering if it's not because I move that arm more. I'm gonna try it with the tdap too when the time comes and see if there's anything to my theory.
@huskermom14 I always find that if I make sure to stretch and move whatever arm my shot was in pretty consistently throughout the day it winds up being less painful later on. Since I sit at a desk all day I just do arm circles maybe once or twice an hour...which I'm sure my coworkers think is weird, but whatever. Or if I go to yoga or pilates that day post-shot, I find that helps as well.
I also find that if you are completely relaxed it tends to get less sore...but needles don't bother me so it's not very hard for me to relax for shots, while that's not the case for everyone. DH always has arm pain for DAYS after shots because he can't help but tense up when he's getting them. He of course acts like it is the end of the world, so I'm happy he won't need a Tdap this pregnancy. He did get his flu shot though.

I also get the tdap and find with any shot if I massage and move my arm a lot it's less sore. Warm shower also helps.
