It was my turn to go over to the house last night and it's been a couple trying days with DD going through some kind of emotional phase. I stopped by Target first and bought myself a pint of ice cream and ate it all, guilt free, at the house. It even had *gasp* cookie dough in it. Mmmm
My confession this Friday is pretty tame. I have my handy-dandy baby clothes spreadsheet to keep track of how much of each type of clothing I have in each size for the first year. The plan was that this would help me buy what I needed and not get too much of anything. Well, I knowingly went over my 3-6 month bodysuit limit, because giraffes guys! Polka dots and giraffes, I couldn't pass it up. BUT, all of the bodysuits I've purchased have been about $1.50 a piece, so it wasn't a big splurge. I'll just have extra in case I need to toss one due to a bad blow-out, right? (I'm trying to rationalize this)
I live in a house divided. I'm strictly a mayo girl while DH prefers Miracle Whip. FFFC: I think Miracle Whip is the cream of Satan.
I accidentally made my tuna sandwich with Miracle Whip today and I'm irrationally grumpy about it.
Our house too! I seriously want to gag everytime DH goes for the Miracle Whip. But lately he's been on a "mustard is healthier for you" gig so I think I may finally be able to toss the Miracle Whip.

@Jen_Shoes: You kind of have to try it to understand, but you know how the ads used to say "the tangy zip of Miracle Whip"? So, it's like a mayo in consistency, but is tangy, or as some would say, has "off" flavors
I got halfway through assembling the crib and now two parts aren't lining up right and I'm stuck. I plan to fake cramps and pregnancy discomfort to get my husband to finish it.
@jen_shoes: pretty much a competing condiment: Hellman's full fat mayo: 90-100 calories per Tbsp Miracle Whip: 45 for same My FFFC: I'm supposed to be working but instead am looking up stupid crap (see above). @nda_roxybabe: but still so yummy... @WombThereItIs: good for you---no shame in that!
My FFFC: I got the Target welcome baby bag this week. They just handed it to me no questions asked. I can't tell you how many times I've considered going to a different Target to get another one (I haven't).

Same! Heck, I could 100% go to the same Target and just get a new person.
@nda_roxybabe did you grow up in NC? Tomato & Duke Mayo sandwiches! I'm not a huge fan of mayo. I use it in stuff, but not like on a sandwich especially not by itself. I spent a good portion of my childhood in NC and it's never miracle whip. It's Duke's mayo, always.

haha, nope. Alaska mainly, but I remember eating them the few years we lived in Salt Lake. I hate tomatoes otherwise I'd be all over that. I know from my time in SC for school that Duke's is good stuff.
@thistlenweeds Lots of different sales. I've literally been spending most of my time at work the past couple weeks looking at baby clothes online. Most have been either 5-packs of bodysuits or other layette sets. I did a couple purchases when Kohl's had that $10 off $30 sale and Carters were also half off. I've been scouring Amazon and every once in a while will find a layette set for super cheap (like one was 2 pants and 2 bodysuits for something like 6.02). Got a few deals from Target clearance, too. Basically, if I can find a deal where I can get bodysuits for $1.50, pants for $2-2.50, sweaters for $2-$3, or pajamas for $3-$3.50, I grab em (if the pattern is ok, too). I'll see if any of my recent Amazon or Target purchases are still priced low and post them on the deals thread.
"Team Yuck" for both mayo and Miracle Whip! Apparently I wanted to marry mayonnaise when I was about four years old...
My FFFC: H is unexpectedly working late on a side project tonight, which cancels our plans of relaxing and cleaning together (desperately needed). So I'm thinking of what I can do on my own that would be fun, and even though I really, legitimately think cleaning would make me feel best/happiest, I'm sitting on my @$$ on the couch and watching Netflix and have no plans to move. Wouldn't want any resentment to build over here...
FFFC #2: Its day 12 of 16 days in a row where I have to be out of the house for 10+ hours. MH is out of town, and I'm feeling kind of cruddy (maybe getting a cold, or maybe just super run down). So, I'm totally going to eat Ben and Jerry's for dinner, watch HGTV all night, and go to bed at an unreasonably early hour. TGIF
I don't get this "how bow now wow dow" thing going on in the FB memes lately. I'm not sure if this is a sign that I need to watch more tv, be less old, or what. I also don't know if I even want to know what it is.

@RedInLove it's from Dr. Phil. There was a teenage girl on who was being a twat flea and she said "catch me outside how bout dat" but she had this "street accent" where it sounded ridiculous.
@Jen_Shoes miracle whip is the mayo of Minnesota (and North Dakota, like the north part of Iowa, and maybe Wisconsin) and it's AWESOME. It's pretty much mayo with a little sugar and cayenne pepper in it. On that note, my confession: I do like mayo over miracle whip on my sandwiches. BUT THAT'S IT.
@L1C4gal Me too. I have ice cream almost every single night. I'm supposed to be taking it easy because I had GD last time and barely passed my early test this time. I feel so guilty!
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot I feel guilty too! My weight gain has been normal but I have a family history of GD, so who knows. Every night I think, "well maybe I shouldn't," but then I just...do. H bakes cookies every night so I'd be lonely without a delicious vice of my own!
Re: FFFC 1/27

What is miracle whip even? I mean I've seen it, but never used it. Is it kinda like butter vs margarine?

interesting. But what's the purpose? Is it healthier? Or was is it just a competitor of mayo?
confession: Ate too many chocolate covered cherries and now don't feel great.

You reminded me of my FFFC #2: The idea of eating ice cream isn't some treat or guilty pleasure for me because I eat ice cream every. single. night.
