@hopefulmom I had my ER on Thursday morning. They gave me an update on Friday and they are supposed to freeze today, and let me know tomorrow how it goes.  Im trying not to think about it, but it's hard!  With this technique, you freeze at day 3, no genetic testing.  Dr says a mature (47yr old, not in terms of size) egg will be healthier if you dont wait that long, and your chances are higher.  Im glad to hear that 4 is a success, as I was thinking it was not so great.  But if one is good, then we go again, and that is what Im hoping for.

I ended up getting BFP and about 5 days ago (at 6w 4d) had the heartbeat ultrasound... the dr said that the embryo is 3 days behind and has low heartbeat... so I'm not waiting for Tues for the followup ultrasound... but preparing myself for the worst...

@tvh1982 so happy for you and I see it wasn't an easy road for sure!  I'm afraid of FET since a fresh transfer worked so well with twins in fact but then MC at 10 wks, so we shall see.  thanks for sharing your story!!  Best of luck to u! 

@LoveDontCostAThing Congrats on triggering and enjoying a nice evening home!  I know this process is a tough one and hopefully this is your cycle!  Even though I've been to one ER, I've done 3 cycles of IVF and I felt like a pro and pin cushion all at the same time.  Its crazy the bruising I would get.  My niece interrupted me and I never finished my post...now ER should've come and gone, can't wait to get your update, yay!!!

@prudence9 So excited you got a BFP, thats great news!  Is there a reason they only transferred one and not 2.  What was the heartbeat number if you don't mind me asking.  Praying you got a strong bean and it continues to thrive!

@Hopeful_mom -hey!  I had my ER this morning...I was so groggy and almost passed out afterward (I am a fainter, so that's nothing new) BUT they said they got 12 or 14 eggs...can't remember because I was out of it, but I remembered to ask (a couple times to make sure the nurse found out) how many were mature...she said 10 mature.  That's the same number I had last time.  The dr. said that it's an average number per ovary (and i was born with one ovary...ugh!) I will find out tomorrow how many fertilize.  I hope this batch is stronger than the last!!!!  Thanks for checking in  What's the next step for you?

So Im really happy that I have one Embryo, rated very healthy, frozen, and i am just so relieved!  This means I will go another round.  If I didnt have anything survive, they would have not encouraged another cycle, so I am really happy.  Still a ways to go, but I am still in the race!

@LoveDontCostAThing  yay one hurdle down, your one ovary is awesome sweet!!  my 2 working ones still haven't gotten me into double digits, one month the right one is the super star and then the following month the left is the super star...so thank ur body for doing such a good job!!  Drink lots of gatorade and relax!  Now ur doing a fresh transfer??  Looking forward to ur update tomorrow!!!!!!!  I'm just waiting for AF which is at least a week and a 1/2 away I believe...which is good so i get the full 2 weeks of estrogen priming in...lets hope that will make all the difference for me  hope ur feeling well!

@hopefulmom  I have one successful embryo in the freezer, and Im really happy about that because they said that the one is the top of health.  So they encourage me now to do another round of mini IVF, and so I am doing the whole cleanse detox thing and all that jazz to get ready.   Im an artist and I use a lot of chemicals, so I think this will help.  It certainly wont hurt!

@Hopeful_mom they transferred only one because it was a PGS tested embryo. 

The appt was at 6w 4d. But the embryo size was 6w 1d and the heartbeat was 95.

@littledarlins how exciting congrats!!  thats really amazing news, good for you! What type of cleanse are you doing.  I should be doing the same!  The MC was hard on my body, I've lost and gained weight all year!  Oddly enough I lost weight during the pregnancy thanks to being so sick, then I gained it right back after the MC, adding on an extra 10lb just because so i'm even more terrified on this next round...I've gained all my baby weight ugh!!  Hoping you get some more to freeze, its really awesome!!

@prudence9 I thought that was maybe the case, my OH wants me to do the pgs and only transfer one...I don't want to and really want to transfer two.  Once you're blessed with twins you ache to have it back.  SO I"m just really confused...the dr want to go for the pgs and only want to put one back as well..  I think they believe I MC because I was caring twins...and i guess my age is what they're blaming.  The positive is that you did hear a heart beat thats huge, some aren't even that lucky!  Being a couple days behind is ok, they're probably more concerned with the heartbeat, you're still in it, so hang in there...good luck.  And don't google away sweets, just relax and talk to ur lil bean!  stay strong and please keep us updated.

@hopefulmom I have been reading about this 10 day detox that is called Fast Track.  The idea is that you have lots fruits and vegetables, with tons of fiber like flaxseed and psyllium, to remove the bad stuff from your system.  It is specific to certain types, though, like Broccoli and Artichokes are in separate categories, with different functions, and you need both. One day is a fast that involves a Cranberry concoction.  I will let you know how it works!
Im sorry about your MC.  It probably wont help, but my alot of my friends had children late, and they often miscarried at first.  Its like their bodies needed to get ready or something.  I am expecting mine to do the same, because I have seen it so often. So now you are ready, yes?  So what happens, now, you wait for your AF to start, and then what?

@Hopeful_mom the major benefit of PGS is that you don't waste your time on abnormal embryos. Out of the 8 tested embryos, only 4 were normal...  Maybe you can ask them to still transfer 2, even after PGS?

@prudence9 @littledarlinsThey say many woman MC there first and after everything we go through I certainly didn't want to join that club!  Thats why my dr prefers only doing one, maybe my body just couldn't manage the two.  UGH its so frustrating, I was able to test one of the embryo and she was normal. Its very hard.  Orginally they assume that abnormal embryos want take.  After my ER I had 3 good looking eggs and one funny shaped one so I wasn't banking on that one.  I had the 3, all in pretty good shape by day 3 and we transfer them all and 2 stuck.  If I had more eggs maybe I would've done the testing but with so few they themselves didn't think it was necessary.  Now because they have no clue as to why I MC they look at that.  I had an US the morning of my MC.  They had super strong heartbeats and measured ahead by 2 days...and 12hrs later all hell broke loose.

I'm doing EPP protocol which is the antagonist protocol adding estrogen to it.  So I have the patch on now and once AF arrives I'll go in day 2 for baseline and blood work.  Hopefully all will look good and I can start stemming, so we shall see.

Let me know how the detox goes...this age, adding taking hormones over a year really has not been kind to this body  hope u feel super energized!!  Are there any supplements you have to take?

@Prudence9 Thats what makes the MC so much tougher to understand for my RE and I.  This US they actually were starting to look like babies and not the cute lil blobs they were AND I graduated fro the RE that day to regular OB.  It was a disappointment for all.  I've been at the specialist long enough to have cheerleaders in each dept.  Lets hope this cycle is a keeper all the way through. when do u go for your follow up?

@Hopeful_mom back from the ultrasound. There is still a heartbeat. But the embryo hasn't grown and the dr thinks it will not be a vial pregnancy. She told me to stop the PIO injections and patches. And wait for a MC...

@hopeful_mom -that's great that you are getting back into it  Will you do a fresh transfer?  Here's my update: embryologist called this morning and 11/12 eggs fertilized...I was shocked!!  Last time 7/10.  I reallllly hope this cycle works, but I truly don't want to be too positive and be disappointed again.

@Prudence9 -I am so sorry that they don't think your pregnancy is viable...ugh.  I'm surprised they want you to stop the meds while there is still a heartbeat.  Hugs to you

@LoveDontCostAThing thanks! They don't think it's going to be viable because the embryo hasn't grown since last week and the heartbeat she couldn't even measure. We did see it blinking. But she didn't get an accurate read.

@littledarlins I felt that way in the beginning too and then started reading about everyone else that had Low Amy taking all of these extra supplements I decided to start as well...anything to try and help the cause, even though my dr didn't think it was necessary!!!

@LoveDontCostAThing woo hoo!!! What an awesome update!!! It sounds even better than the last time and what you had expected so excited. I know you don't want to get your hopes up but why not? you've done everything you can, now's the time to get excited and keep thinking good thoughts you have strong little embabies and I'm praying with you that they grow and grow and get stronger every day. @Hopeful_mom I wish. But I don't think so. The embryo didn't grow at all for a week. I'm 7w 4d and it's 6w 1d exactly like it was last Tuesday. I took out the patches and will stop the PIO and just wait for a MC :-( 
but as soon as my hcg levels are down I'm going to have another transfer. I have 3 more embryos on ice. Hopefully the next one will be the one.

@Prudence9 I'm very sorry, that's very hard to hear and so confusing!! Any thoughts from your RE on what's happening?  Thrilled u have frosties to get right back to it!! So important, wish I had some frosties, I first have to work on that!!  The emotional pain sucks, hoping u physically don't have to suffer!!

@Hopeful_mom I thought you meant supplements for detox- I am taking a high level of Folic Acid, to add to the prenatal vitamin, and extra vitamin D.  My doc said not to take anything else.  His real orders were to stop all caffeine, and my follical count went from 2 to 9 without any stims at all when I did that. And doing mini-IVF, ill take that!

@hopeful_mom -thank you for all of the positivity!  I want to be positive, but you know the drill, after being burned a couple of times, it is difficult.  It's like I don't want to be too excited and get disappointed again.  The embryologist said they would call again today.  Although at the ER they said they would only call day 1 and the day before so transfer, so I am hoping for the call today!


@Prudence9  -you have a good attitude looking forward to another transfer.  I should stick with you ladies because you seem positive

Thanks @Hopeful_mom the dr doesn't know what might have been the cause. She will have to check me up more carefully before next transfer to make sure we are not missing anything.

@Prudence9  your embryos were PGS tested right?  That makes it tougher for sure.  I just had my meeting for PGS testing about a week ago and even that isn't 100%.  She was explaining a mosaic normal which could really not be normal in the end...so who knows.  We pray for healthy babies and especially at 40 we need to at least experience that!!

@littledarlins  I actually might have meant both  I had a shack as a meal replacements today and was eating pretzels not even a 1/2 hr later...snack fail for me   ugh need to do better!!  Hows the detox going?

@LoveDontCostAThing we all have our days and i'm sure want to give up but thats not really what we want.  Disappointment sucks 100% but why give into it...you're off to a great start, put it out into the universe, you're going to have strong embassies to transfer in a few days yay!!  AND don't wait for them to call you, I did the first day and then followed up myself the next day  I couldn't wait!!  keep me posted!

@Prudence9 -All any of us can do is keep going!  It's so nice to be able to connect with everyone in this community.  I didn't do it my first IVF, but I would lurk sometimes lol.  I googled way too much and stressed myself out.  I also felt like no one understood.  This time I am really enjoying connecting with ladies who truly understand.

@Hopeful_mom -Thank you for all of your positive energy!  They called today and said that all 11 are still going strong and dividing properly...ahh!!  Not sure if they call tomorrow, but they will definitely call on Friday to update and tell me what time to be there on Saturday for transfer.  So much can happen in the next couple days!!

@LoveDontCostAThing  at times google is not your friend, I was looking at everything, what this means, is the heartbeat really ok, even thought the re assured it was etc.  its not good.  i originally was on another site when tic naturally but once i saw a specialist I needed something else as those woman didn't understand.  Listening to girls so tormented cause they've been truing 3 whole months and didn't get a bfp.  Seriously!!  My patience was running thin, I still found the need to share acknowledge if I had but I needed to find woman that understood what i was going through.  Whether you have a man or not doesn't matter as mine is on the road a lot I was still doing all the shots and appt myself.  Its the MC that made him insane that now he's more on board.  I think seeing the loss of blood I had and how low my blood pressure was freaked him out....I guess he really loves me after all  Its better to have ppl that understand and get the lingo too...at least I think so!!  
CONGRATS on a great day 2, they usually let them be and grow.  Since you have a good amount growing strong they probably won't peak.  Its when you don't have double numbers like me and they peak and opt to do a 3 day transfer.  so g-d willing transfer day will be? sat and sun?  Make sure OH made no plans

@Hopeful_mom I will do better tomorrow, ha ha ha!  I hosted a birthday lunch today, so I was a little all over the place, but I can tell you the increase and variety of veggies is helping all the way around.  I will be ore serious about it and over the weekend, and Ill let you know if this system works at all.  its an 11 day thing all together.

@Hopeful_mom yes, the embryo was a PGS tested embryo. I guess nothing is 100%. But there is also high chance the problem was with me.. the dr will have to run some tests before next time. She said maybe my hormones, maybe thyroids... who knows...

@LoveDontCostAThing I also didn't come here while I was doing ivf. And at times it felt really lonely. Glad I found this board :-) your numbers seems great! Did they happen to check again today? Or are you now waiting for Friday?

@hopeful_mom -Google is the worst!!!  One time awhile back my friend, who is a nurse, told me that she tells her patients to NEVER google anything about medical stuff...it's so true.  This community is helping me to google less...thankfully.  I still google some, but not nearly as much.  Also, what do you mean about embryos "peaking?"  That sounded interesting.  Transfer is Saturday, and my DH nicely scheduled his day around it

@Prudence9 -I agree--it feels so much less lonely on these boards.  I also post on the March IVF board, which is so cool because I never knew how many women would be going through IVF at the same time as me since none of my friends are.  It's a blessing.  They didn't call today...ugh!  Hope they are still growing!!!  Tomorrow they will call with an update and instructions for Saturday's transfer.  I hope I don't get a call saying barely any made it!!!

Don't worry that they didnt call you today. When I was going thru ivf back in November they told me that every time they look they disturb the embryos so they rather look as little as possible. But yeah, this wait is so tough.

@LoveDontCostAThing yeah @Prudence9 is right no worries on no call, its because you have a good amount that i'm sure they felt there was no need to disturb ur embabies.  Saturday will be here before u know it yay  We all want to have a great amount of embabies sure BUT we also want to have the strongest healthy ones too, so just try to focus on that and remember that when they tell you how theyre doing.  I'll be checking back to see ur update, good luck!!

@Prudence9 ugh sorry thats what ur up to these days, I know its better to prepare yourself and then hopefully your body can prepare for the next round.
