Anyone else having TERRIBLE RLP? I've experienced quick bouts of it many times before, but nothing like the debilitating cramps I've been experiencing the last 2 weeks. I was concerned enough to mention it to my OB and she just said it's RLP and to invest in a Bellaband. It's always in my lower right stomach, at the bottom of the bump.
I get mine in the same place. I got it much worse or at least more frequently a couple months ago, but that was when my belly decided to expand exponentially. Maybe you are having a belly growth spurt?
@gators&bosox yeah, I always thought it was worst in 2nd tri. I hardly remember having any RLP with DD, but my OB says it's always worse the 2nd pregnancy. I have a desk job, and only get bad RLP when I do a lot of standing/walking, like grocery shopping, etc... Maybe it's just from lack of exercise.
dear baby girl, please move your head a little so my pubic bone stops feeling like it is being smashed to pieces! I am so terrified for what happens when you decide to "drop". I feel like there is nowhere for you to go. love, mom
This babe is stretching out in ALL directions. Never had this issue with DD. Both too high: Can't breath, toes kicking up under my ribs. Ouch. And at the same time: pushing SO Low So much Lightning crotch. Feels like someone's constantly knocking to get out. Can you just pick up or down? Not both.
Insomnia increasing, said hello and quick goodbye to "max" weight gain-that number just keeps ticking up, raging hormones/my husband is walking on eggshells.
@kjd291 maybe you're growing a supermodel in there lol or a basketball player... i don't get much in the ribs but damn this girl is strong. i'm afraid she's going to rupture my spleen or something lol. i too have said "so long" to my max weight. i think I'm already bigger than I was at the end with DS. I'm about to ban mirrors in the house
@Gators&BoSox very likely. Haha. DH is 6'3'' and DD is always the 99+% one who's setting the curve for the other kids growth percentiles. I've heard ppl say your kids usually get bigger with subsequent pregnancies... hello 9-10 pounder.
...But I don't want to give birth to a giant baby
And YES. Burn all the mirrors. Ugh. It's not so bad with clothes... but before showering or getting dressed. Yikes!! Hha
My OB confirmed my suspicion today, that baby is transverse. I'm 30 weeks and keep reading that baby should be head down by now. This pregnancy has been pretty awful so far, and my ONE wish is to have a vaginal birth. This kid needs to get to moving.

Yes yes yes! My lower abs pelvic region hurt so bad while walking/moving. It came on very suddenly too.

Yes, yes and yes. Surpassed my "max weight gain" this week. Don't know how because I keep throwing up with no room in my stomach. Oh well, I lost it all with my first, I can do it again.
Ugh to the weight gain!! Also.. heartburn, pregnancy brain, and having to pee all the time! I literally peed my pants last night before the shower.. don't remember losing that much control with my son
For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. 1 Samuel 1:27 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have all the symptoms you all mentioned. I need to invest in a belly band but the closet motherhood store is 30 min away and I don't want to order one. I feel overwhelmed with all the decisions that need to be made in the next few weeks and I just feel like I'm running out if time to make them. I go from sad to mad to ok. I'm not a crier but I cried today because I wasn't feeling well. Hubby doesn't know what to think.
Weight gain. Check. Also my lower back hurts so badly. I don't know if I aggravated it picking up my enrormous toddler or what, but I'll take any suggestions or reccomendations if anyone has any.
Holy baby movement guys! So far this baby is 3lbs at 30 weeks when my other two were under 2lbs at this point, so its a new, heavier game for me. Her foot kicked straight up against my skin and visibly bulged it out in a foot shape! And I've kissed sleep goodbye! RLP whenever I walk a lot or laugh too much so i'm a chairbound, frowny face mama! Also craving ice cream constantly. I love being pregnant but I'm so....so...so...looking forward to sleeping on my stomach again and being able to sit without hurting all over and getting short of breath!
@Ivorytower2 I don't know if it would be an option for you but I had massage therapy last week for my neck and low back and I feel SO much better! that in addition to a few baths a week.
@Minger86 right there with you on the lower right side RLP. Even though I have remained relatively active if I walk too fast and don't breathe deeply enough I actually have to stop and take a minute break to let everything relax again... Doctor confirmed my girl was head down but the RLP has stuck around for quite some time.
I just got my first few rib kicks in the past week and she still loves to press on my belly button! She has been incredibly active for a few weeks now. I was also told last week that I have a four month belly not an eighth month one - thank you long torso!
Anyone else just feeling crappy in general? Not this bug stuff that's going around, but like constant hunger/ate too much/nausea...sort of/hot flash type spells that are all being aggravated by the exhaustion? I was off for summer at this stage with my first and didn't experience any of that. Wild third graders, the discomforts your all mentioning, a three year old and feeling crappy....9 more weeks.. we can do this... right?
@kelizr YES. What you describe is exactly what hit me around 32wks((aka Christmas crazy)). I've been feeling lots better this week as I'm staying on top of eating first thing when I wake up, small snacks throughout the day, making sure I'm wearing light layers so I can cool down in the warm moments, and being aware of my exhaustion levels: taking lots of breaks and resting. Sounds like you have your hands full-so try your best to take care of yourself too!
@kjd291 glad I'm not alone. Eating frequently helps for sure. I also have ulcerative colitis (like Crohns) and was convinced this morning I was flaring. Only time will tell... but ugh the overall crappiness reminds me so much of those times! Little lady went to sleep right away with no trouble tonight! Going to bed now!
@Minger86 You still have plenty of time for baby to move. Sometimes I hate reading all the what to expect when expecting type things because if you deviate from the norm you start to be very worried. They wouldn't even do any kind of version this early because baby is still small enough to flip. A couple of things I've heard of that might help would be sitting being conscious of how you sit (straight in a straight backed chair) and placing a bag of frozen peas on the top of your tummy. Maybe Google yoga positions to help baby flip?
@npaulie I was going to but my sister was like don't you want to see it in the store. I saw one in target today I had a different one with baby#2. I need to see them cause I'm scared the Velcro won't stay. I'll probably make a trip this weekend cause I need more bras.
I've had morning sickness throughout my entire pregnancy so far, but lately I have no nausea which is great! Instead, after eating, I go into a coughing fit till I finally throw up a little bit of whatever I ate. I've tried the smaller, more frequent meals method and so far, all that has resulted in is more frequent vomiting but in smaller amounts! I have been getting extremely intense heartburn some days, have had constipation for the first time in my life, and flares of what I think might be sciatica - luckily that goes away once I'm up and moving for a while.
@longliveregina yeah, my doctor doesn't seem at all concerned about positioning yet. But, I did skim spinningbabies.com, just to check it out. I'm going to give him a few more weeks to turn before I start flipping myself upside down off the edge of the couch.
So add me now to the indigestion club. Starting to feel nauseous a lot of the day now, and ironically having several more bowel movements every day than is normal for me. I thought I'd be more constipated?
also, I know baby is getting cramped in there, but he keeps hooking his feet on my ribs and pushing down into my cervix (ow) while simultaneously trying to stretch out his arms and other legs. It's like it's attempting to make full snow angels in there. It'd be great if he stopped doing that ANY day now.
anyone else hear any pops/clicks in their belly? I hear it most often when I lay down before bed and everything is quiet. Apparently it could be her movements popping little air pockets or her joints cracking or something to that effect. IDK why but I find the sounds oddly interesting and satisfying lol
I AM SO HUNGRY RIGHT NOW AND I DON'T HAVE A CAR TO GO BUY FOOD!! Constant appetite (not necessarily constant hunger, but constant appetite) is my newest symptom. That is all.
Can i report the grossest, weirdest, symptom of all time and ask if anyone has noticed it?
i feel like the smell of my sweat has changed while pregnant, and not for the better. Is this a thing? Is it just that my sense of smell has changed? It's not cool. In the grand scheme of things I guess its not a priority, but...I stink and it's weird.
Another symptom I just thought of, and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this? A few times I've noticed (always while sitting or lying down), I feel "off" and the only way I can think to describe is it that it feels like all the blood rushing to your head like when you're upside down too long? According to my Fitbit my heart rate isn't changing. Idk if that's a blood pressure/heart thing, or what. But I've noticed it a few times a day the last few days.
@npaulie yep. I always feel better standing in the last few weeks of pregnancy. I always assumed it's circulation related/baby weight pushing on blood flow. but could be a number of things I guess. Sucks because when you're exhausted and not feeling well -- sitting or laying down makes more sense! I usually can't make it through things like a church service without getting up to go for a walk.
@kjd291 ah that makes sense. Had started freaking myself out that maybe it was high blood pressure. Still going to mention it to my dr at my checkup tomorrow, but glad to hear I'm not the only one feeling that
@anonellis yes. I'm so horrified by it, too. I also feel like I'm sweating more than usual, and the combination is just awful! My hope is that my smell has not changed, but just that my super sensitive pregnancy nose is to blame.

@anonellis I think I have the same thing going on. I think it is more sense of smell change than it is actual stink. I asked DH if he could smell what I smelled and he said no. I do think I need to shower every day now where I didn't before so there might be some increase in actual odor too.
My discharge is soooo watery and plentiful. I am going to have to start wearing liners at night. When I get up to pee or in the morning stuff just comes out and then I feel wet & gross.
@anonellis I think it's a change in sense of smell too. Sadly, it's only the gross smells that my nose is keen on, not say, fragrant flowers or even bacon. (That is to say, my nose can smell them just fine, but I don't have a superhuman power of picking up their scents like I do with bodily odors!)
According to a website that DH looked up, it's a hormonal change that some pregnant women go through: our sense of smell becomes sensitive to things that are potentially dangerous or unhealthy. The logic checks out. But do I really need to smell people's farts 20 feet away to know their butts may not be the cleanest? Just sayin', nature...
