Ok, I have to. I've been avoiding bringing it up much because it makes me sound like a weirdo. But please tell me someone else feels baby kicking in their rear side. I don't know if she's just hitting a nerve that goes into my butt, but I literally feel her IN the butt cheeks. I'm sorry if that's tmi but I just want to know if anyone else is in the same boat. It doesn't hurt but it makes me laugh and it's weird sitting through meetings feeling like my rear is twitching. Haha.
This morning I went to put ice in my water bottle only to discover that DH had left ONE cube in each of our trays and put them back in the freezer. So we had two ice cubes. You couldn't fill the trays last night when you left one flipping ice cube in there?! Between that and toilet paper never getting replaced I feel like my morning has been the definition of living with a man
Haha! Yes, I've been feeling these too! With my 1st, I always felt the kicks up by my ribs. This time it seems like he's had his feet pointing downward the whole time! Praying for rotation!
@shaunessa oh good--glad I'm not alone. Haha. I'm hoping it's just the reverberation from her head, because I think I feel her feet up toward my ribs. But I don't know, so if it's her feet down there I hope she flips before she runs out of room.
DS has a cold (again) and is wheezy (again), so they put him on neb treatments. Guess what he hates more than neb treatments? NOTHING. Not looking forward to having to wrangle a toddler 4 times a day to get him to take his medicine.
I need help on the underwear front. Mine aren't cutting it anymore and since I'm a creature of habit, I don't even know where to start. For reference, I'm carrying low with wide hips. Any suggestions for a brand or style that won't roll down thanks to a pregnant belly?
@belocin I'm interested too. I just got to that point myself. I just bought some online and they arrived today so I really can't say if they work or not. They appear to fit but I need to wash and wear them to find out.
I am usually a large in underwear (I wear size 10 pants normally) and I got an XXL in these based on the reviews which made me feel like a whale but I am glad I did because they are sooo comfortable
@belocin they are a little expensive (I found them on sale) but I bought a bunch of the pure seamless Calvin Klein bikinis. They are super comfortable and stretchy, plus it's a brand that is sold at department stores so you should be able to try them on before you buy them if you live near a mall.
@belocin to be totally honest, I love the Aerie boy brief underwear. they cover my whole butt and sit just below my expanding belly. I think they are on sale for 2.99 right now too
@wagnerw My DH has been a non-ice cube tray-refiller ever since I've known him and it's infuriating. I never craved ice-cold drinks until I was pregnant so when we have no ice he now gets an earful from me!! Literally 4-5 empty trays in our freezer. I truly think the only way this situation can be resolved is by buying a fridge with an ice machine (we're in an apartment right now so someday) because he is clearly stuck in his ridiculous ways.
Ok Bump.com app. Not only is this a useless article for someone entering their third trimester (and usually you're so good at timely articles suggested for me), but you also spelled pregnancy wrong.
In regards to the ergo carrier...I also love mine and used it when DS was a little bigger. I used the moby wrap when he was tiny. Has anyone used the infant insert for the ergo and have opinions? I have read mixed reviews.
Following because I bought the Ergo because it was on clearance and interested to know people's opinions. I was eye-ing a LilleBaby, but they all seem to be fairly the same (or maybe I'm just ignorant). I didn't wear DS and I desperately should have. He did not like being put down at all, so nothing for accomplished.
I think I've finally gotten the hang of sleeping with my maternity pillow. The problem has been I'm a flip flopper when I sleep. I roll over a thousand times a night and that pillow felt like an anaconda trying to kill me. I finally just stopped trying to take it with when I flip and it's been great! DH still can't get near me at night, but I'm not really complaining about that. He tends to turn into a furnace while he sleeps and I want no part of that.
For those wondering if you need the Ergo infant insert- you don't. Just roll up a receiving blanket under their bum and that will lift them up enough to go without the insert. It's cooler too

This. We didn't get the insert either and this worked great (although, DS was very long, so it was easier to do with him than it would be a tiny baby). I loved the Ergo; we still use it occasionally in backpack mode if we go hiking or any place that's not super stroller friendly. We got it primarily for DH to use since it was more "manly" (his words), but I probably used it just as much as he did. We hike a lot, haha.
When DS was really little I used the K'tan. I LOVED that thing. It's kind of tricky to figure out how to use at first, but once you get it down, it's really awesome. DS always wanted to be held, and the K'tan was really easy and lightweight for me to use and pop him in while we were at home so I could still get stuff done. I liked that it was lighter than the Ergo, so it was nicer to have on while working around the house.
My SIL gave us her K'tan. She is 6'2" I am 5'5" I couldn't use it it was too big but DH loved it. I used a Moby. It was great but I was always scared it would untie itself because I always think the worst is going to happen.
Also no love for the ergo infant insert here. I found the Ergo huge and overwhelming until DS was 3-4 months and didn't need the insert, then I loved it. I preferred wraps and ring slings until then. Pic of poor 2 week old DS drowning in an Ergo. We have a Manduca and a Kinderpack now, neither of which require an insert, so I'm curious how they'll be.
I got put on a civil jury today. 14-16 business days of 9a-1p court. Should be interesting. Hope I can hold my bladder for two hours, because we only get a break at 11...

@catem07 good luck! I would have a hard time with the potty breaks! I am cursed with a small bladder to begin with and pregnancy makes it worse. At work I make sure I pee between every single class I teach because I am affraid to wait too long!
catching up a bit here... 1. I am a big baby wearer and have tried them all, no seriously.... I have. For tiny little babies you can't lose with a ring sling. They are my favorite. Ergos, or other buckle carriers work better from 5 or 6 months up in my opinion. Woven wraps working for everything from little tiny babies to my 3 year old. 2. Favorite underwear are the Victoria Secret yoga underwear. Discovered them with my 1st pregnancy and have been buying them ever since. I have a pretty good stock of them this time around. They are THE BEST! And I can wear them in my normal size they are so stretchy. 3. Hemorrhoids. Why? Why?

Backstory: DH and I have been renting a house since this past April. In early December our landlord said that they received a call from the town asking if they had tenants since no water usage reported at our home for the past 3 years. Turns out, when my landlord renovated the house 3 years ago, something must have cut off the towns usage line on our property, so the township sent over someone to have it fixed. Well, the guy noticed a leaky pipe under our house and shut off our water. Our landlord felt terrible we were suddenly without water and was scrambling to get a plumber. In the meantime, she went out and bought us a few gallons of water and dropped them off so we could at least flush the toilet and also offered her home if we needed to shower or anything. We insisted that it was no issue and that things happen, it wasn't her fault, ect.
The plumber wasn't available until the next day, so we ended up staying at MIL's in the meantime (its actually closer to our jobs so it was nice to have a shorter commute!). Once everything was resolved, the landlord checked in and asked if everything was okay, ect. It was very nice of her and we sincerely appreciated it!
DH received an email this afternoon from our landlord saying that she received our quarterly water bill (she usually forwards it to us to pay) & said she paid it for us since she still feels bad about the inconvenience. It was such a kind act and it really I truly can't express how grateful we are to have such a great landlord, especially since we were so scared to rent initially due to landlord horror stories.
(For background, I am a public school teaching in a "failing" school that, with the current proposed school choice model would likely be shut down - because taking away more funding from an already underfunded school works great!) Coworker: I mean, the good thing is that most of us have degrees in something other than education to fall back on. My statistic degree should have me covered. What about you? Me: Mine's in environmental science... Coworker: Oh, well that's probably okay. There's lots of stuff you can do with that, right? Me: ...it's climate science. Coworker: Oh. Oh, you're probably screwed.
It'll be interesting to see how these next four years play out! I'm not naturally a pessimist, but Trump's picks to run the two sectors that I'm qualified to work in don't instill a great deal of confidence in me.
AW- we bought a new car yesterday! We couldn't bring ourselves to get the minivan, but found a Durango instead and I love it! We are both crying over the payments, but yay for a new reliable car for me to drive

Did you guys know that if you post too many times in a short time span (2 times in 30 seconds) the bump blocks you from posting for 60 seconds because you are a spam threat?!?! HAHAHA!! I was replying "sent" to all the people who PM'd me for the FB group and got a notice. I thought that was pretty funny!
And another thing (sorry guys, I'm full of randoms today), I have 100 days left until my due date!!! Woot woot! Which means, basically everyone else here has less than that!!!!
