@smallbutmighty77 I'm sorry it doesn't seem to be covered for you. Would definitely talk to your insurance rep and dr office! Hopefully something can be figured out for you.

@smallbutmighty77 that sucks. I opted out of genetic testing but I got results back from my 11 weeks blood work that I am an SMA carrier. I guess they didn't test for that with my first but they do now. So now we have to go for genetic counseling and my husband has to be tested. I hope they cover it for him. He has better insurance then me, so here's to hoping because my OB bills are outrageous without the extras.
I guess we'll see how much they charge me for the test. I asked them specifically for the Counsyl test and someone messed up and put in a Quest one, but it covered all the same points. I just knew the Counsyl one was cheaper out of pocket if it gets denied by both insurances. Fingers crossed it does not, or that it's not much difference in price! We just went in for one of our 2nd tri appointments. Baby measurement, hearing the heartbeat, pictures, etc. Bloodwork- APM screening. We are all good except we're waiting for the bloodwork results. I go back again at the end of the month for another U/S.
