This is one of the last weeks I DONT have an appointment! I usually dislike going in, but I can't wait for my next one cuz it means I'm getting so close! Next appointment I get a huge packet of birth info and chat birthplan!
Had a regular OB check up today at 30 weeks. I hadn't seen my OB for 8 weeks (I saw a different provider at 26 weeks while he was on vacay) and we both agreed that time has flown by!
I got my Tdap vaccine, we chatted about pediatrician recommendations (though he's not supposed to name any names, shh ) and I inquired whether or not a written birth plan is necessary. His advice was to read other women's birth plans to get an idea of what is common and to get me thinking about things I maybe wouldn't have thought of myself.
He listened to baby's heartbeat and measured my fundal height which was 30 cm and right on track. Other than waiting an hour(!) after my scheduled appointment time to see him, it was a good visit. Now starts the every other week appointments. It's getting real!
Im clocking in at 30w today. Tomorrow I have an OB appt....and it'll be the works. I have blood sugar, whooping cough shot, regular meet and greet with the dr, blood work and Im sure we will be talking about my Friday night incident.
I took my MIL and FIL to a 3d/4d ultrasound as a surprise.....and SURPRISE the tech found the umbilical cord wrapped around my LO's neck. I called the OB bc the tech was extremely worried and after several long hours in L&D.....my DS is wearing the cord like a scarf.....just draped over both shoulders...(presently) THANKFULLY
I had a dr appointment yesterday and I'm 32 weeks today. It was super quick, no blood work or anything, and he basically just said everything looks good. He recommended that we do a hospital tour since we haven't done that yet. I have another appointment with my regular OB in 2 weeks and I believe after that they'll start scheduling every week! Almost there : )

No appointment this week (my last free week). Last week when I went in, she said that my fundal measurement grew so much I have to get a growth scan next week. I had hypertension with my first pregnancy, and low bp with this one, but she wants to see me every week from next week on (ugh!) to monitor me because she is worried that my bp will go up. I thought everything was going so much better this time around with bp, I get that they are cautious but it sucks that I'm already down to once a week.
Just had my appt with my midwife, and a student-midwife!, and I'm 30+2 today. Measuring closer to 31, and besides the usual urine test, blood pressure, fundal measurements and heartbeat, I kind of lead the appt with whatever questions I had.. like if feeling huge and a little defeated already (knowing I still have so much more to go) was normal. It was such a relaxing visit and we chatted about a lot of non-baby related things too, and my DH was there and they included him in everything, so I feel really at ease (also helps that the babe has stayed head down so far) and I am excited that I have my next 3 appts booked!
I have been having some circulation issues that have caused me to pass out twice wile lying on my back on exam table. My Ob had me go in for an ultra sound to make sure that this issue didn't also mean that blood and nutrients weren't circulating right for baby and that he wasn't under sized or under weight.
Well... turns out not only is growing fine, but he is over the average weight at the moment! Almost five pounds at 31 weeks! So I then went from freaking out that he might not be growing properly to worrying they would eventually say he was too big for natural birth and I would have to have a c-section! But at my appointment the next day my OB assured me that it was too early to tell how big he would be by the end and everything could change. Still, big headed baby is now on my mind. Thankfully I'm pretty tall and don't have overly narrow hips or anything, so a little bigger shouldn't be a problem?
Also my original ultra sound showed that the umbilical cord was at the edge of the placenta, which is a slight concern, but some how between then and now things grew and shifted and it's in the center. So that's good to know. Oh, and baby is head down at moment, so also good!
So really, in the end, other than worrying about trying to squeeze out a giant baby, everything is looking very good.
Had our appointment with the perinatal doctor this morning...baby boy is measuring 5 lb 4 oz...eek! He was concerned that with hypertension it could be low birth weight, but that doesn't seem to be the case. He's also concerned that I may have gestational diabetes that developed after I did my glucose test. I see my normal OB next week and I have to ask him if he's concerned with it and wants to retest...until then, just paying more attention to my diet. Other than that, everything was looking good

Saw doc today at 33 weeks, baby was measuring "small" aka 2 days behind, a little over 4 lbs. So, I got full permission to eat up in my mind. But doc said baby is still on target for March 1.
Saw my doctor Thursday (12th). 30 weeks now and started the dreaded stress test. After the 25 minutes the nurse realised we have to do it again because baby wasn't moving enough and the heart rate monitor shifted. So an hour later they said we were fine to go home (husband and i were cono used we never saw the doctor bUt took their word). We left the doctors to get a call they messed up that I never saw the doctor and needed to come back.
I've been having pains for the past couple months and my doctor chalked it up to just everything stretching. Come to find out I have a pretty bad bladder infection and now on antibiotics. Good news though during the ultrasound we found out little one is 36 cm long and weighs 3.3 pounds and breached. Going back next week to check my urine to make sure medicine is working. But I'm now in the biweekly appointments.
had my regular check up today. I seriously love my OB office. I rotate between 5 drs and they are all so chill and laid back and non alarmist. My appointments take maybe 15 minutes total and that includes pee in the cup and waiting. Most of the time they don't even say my weight or BP, just jot it down. I mean if I asked they would tell me but if they aren't concerned I'm not either. Their motto is basically "you're doing all the hard work, we just watch and help if you need it" I love that!
Plus my appointments got a little wonky so I have a 35 wk appt and US and GBS test and don't have to go back until 37wks. Yay for skipping a weekly appointment! lol
Saw my doctor yesterday. Everything looks good!!! I'm 32 weeks and 1 day. I go again in two weeks and then start weekly appointments. We are scheduled for my csection on march 8th and he expects all to go smoothly. I can't wait for this little one to get here!!!
Yesterday's ultrasound showed that my placenta is still way too close to my cervix to risk vaginal delivery, so my dr scheduled a c-section at 37 weeks. That's just three weeks away. I'm down to my last three appointments before delivery: a follow up Friday, an ultrasound and follow up next week and the following week, and then delivery on February 9. Yikes!!
I freaked out yesterday when I got the news and set all this up. (Ok, still freaking a little.) DH came home with flowers to cheer me up. I'm so grateful for his support! I am starting to get exited to hold my little one.
I had an appointment this morning and my doctor, after measuring my belly, told me I am measuring too small and wants to do another growth ultrasound to make sure LO is OK. I have two competing thoughts on this... 1. I sure hope LO is ok... At my last ultrasound, she was measuring small too... I'm excited that I get to see her again in an US, but hope that she gets bigger between now and then. Two weeks is a long time to sit on this news and wait for this next US... 2. How DARE he call me small because I feel friggin HUGE. I'm just over here with beached whale status and he's trying to tell me that I am too small?!? Why does this rub me the wrong way... #hormonal
@JustAnotherUsername16 I hope all is well with LO and she's just a peanut. Two weeks is a long time but at least your doc isn't so concerned that they wanted to do one immediately
