@poetryandoceans yeah, I don't think there's ever a real upside... Last night when I couldn't sleep and had to get up to pee again I thought "at least if the baby were here, there would be a real reason I'm not sleeping"
@Jab3 in every pregnancy I've always had more swelling in my right foot/leg vs the left. They check my BP and make sure no protein in my urine sample, but it's always ok. I'm told it's how baby tends to implant in my uterus and/or how my uterus sits and which blood vessels it is prone to compressing.
Whelp, the swelling in my hands went down, but my legs/feet were crazy swollen last night. I went to the pharmacy this morning to take my BP and sure enough, 140/75 (up from 111/75 two weeks ago). My OB looks for either number over 140/90, and at least two measurements 4 hours apart, so I'll be headed back to the pharmacy this afternoon.
Restless legs drive me nuts at night. I have put a bar of soap at the end of my bed and that helps while sleeping, but in the evening watching TV, etc, it drives me crazy.
The exhaustion lately has been bad. I feel.so lazy sometimes, but life is exhausting me. Work has been busy and stressful and the kids just went back to school yesterday.
@Patience7150 , I hope your blood pressure looks better this afternoon.

I think I might have had a legit contraction last night. I fell asleep on the couch, startled myself awake and twisted in a weird way. All of a sudden I felt horrible pain that started on my back and went all the way around my abdomen. I got on all fours, took a few breaths, and then it stopped. There has been nothing like that since; I am finally recognizing occasional BH but they aren't painful, and Baby X is still kicking up a storm in there. I'm not worried about it, but it was definitely weird.
Im also on board with @Aussie45@tishb & @Lafreeman21 the hip/girdle pain is intense. I've even got the annoying clicking/popping sound on occasion and the pain that triggers is intense!!
Funny how everyone was just talking about being worried about the snow - it just started snowing super hard here and I just lost my MP *shudder* Murphy's Law must love me.

Eek! Well, you can lose your plug many weeks before you actually go in to labor - hopefully that's the case for you!
Also. omg. Your environment isn't giving you any breaks, is it? First fires/smoke now a snow storm when you lose your MP? You don't live near an ocean, do you?
Back pain!! The hips are annoying, but the back pain is worse. Is there any trick for relief? I've been stuffing pillows, or some type of padding behind my back while sitting, but can I do anything for when I have to stand up?
Also I am currently a heavy mouth breather, and I have been snoring loud enough to wake both my husband and myself up.
@Partyof6? I don't have restless legs, but am curious about the bar of soap you mentioned. What exactly does the soap do? Does it have to be a specific kind?
Edit to try to properly tag partyof6? Edit again because it worked... thanks @PerraSucia for the weird names tagging help.

Apparently I've started bleating in my sleep. Not exactly snoring. My SO recorded me and it sounded like I was a damned goat. Pregnancy just gets more glamorous everyday.
@kswiger06 I feel like my support belt thing (Prenatal Cradle mini) takes a little pressure off my back, but depending in where your pain is, I'd worry it could make it worse.
@foxrosy my husband recorded me one night and I sounded like some kind of demon person in those exorcism movies. I was like "that's scary, why didn't you wake me up?" Lol if he made those noises I would have been freaked out haha
@FreshBakedBrownies my back hurts mostly up where the skinnier part of my waist should be lol... so I guess mid back, it's down those muscles along both sides of my spine. As the day goes on though, it shifts to lower back, but I was thinking that might be from holding myself in different positions trying to get relief from the mid back pain.
@MommaBean I wasn't real sure about weather heating pads were ok or not so I haven't used one during pregnancy... earlier today I spent a good amount of time on all fours or with my knees on the ground and resting my top half over the couch seat. I'll ask my husband for a back rub to see if it helps.
@WinchesterGirl I did a quick Google, thanks for the tip. I'll be looking into that better and giving some of those stretches a try
@kswiger06 and @freshbakedbrownies , I had originally heard about the bar of soap thing from friends who were getting Charlie horses. I have absolutely no idea why it helps, but when I went to Google about my restless legs, it was mentioned as something that helped. I am using Irish Spring, it was mentioned several times in the threads I read and, well, that's what my husband had in the bathroom, lol.

@madamerwin, I think I will mention the uneven swelling to my doc when I go in next Monday just to be on the safe side. Probably something along the lines of what @FreshBakedBrownies mentioned that it's a compressed blood vessel, or a uterus/position issue, but I guess it can't hurt to ask, better safe than sorry.
@Patience7150, I'm sorry you've been having a tough time dealing with BP lately and I hope you're doing okay.
Thanks @Jab3. I actually ended up in l&d last night...we were at Target so I randomly checked my bp again and it was 141/80. My doc recommended going to get monitored. No protein in my urine, so that's good, but on top of the high bp my heart rate was sitting at 130+ for nearly 45 minutes. Everything ultimately calmed down, and baby looked great the entire time, so I was sent home and have a follow up appt with my doc next week. My swelling is way down today and I'm feeling better, so hopefully just some random fluke?
Oh man @Patience7150, that is great that the swelling went down and no protein in urine, but that is really random how the BP (and now heart rate too) is fluctuating like that. Hopefully it does just end up being a fluke thing, but I'll be thinking of you in the meantime!
@Patience7150 hey twin! thinking of you. hopefully this is all a fluke and you can get back to feeling like a normal, overly annoyed third tri-preggers.

@LivingLaVidaGinger I'm still new to the group as I didn't come along and start participating until later. But I spied snow and smoke. Are you in NC? If so, hello fellow North Carolinian!
3rd tri insomnia. Is a cruel effing joke. It's like...you can't sleep when you know you should because shortly you'll be kept awake for long hours by a newborn....enjoy sleep while you can. But noooo! Let's add 3rd tri insomnia to the mix! I'm wide afreakingwake and have been doing this the past 3 nights now. It's 2a. I did this same shit with my first kiddo in the last month.
Add me to the painful anything regarding pelvis and hips. The weird pelvic popping when getting out of bed to pee. That scared the shit out of me the first time it happened. I've been dealing with all of that for weeks. My lower back is joining the mix now too. And my knees. I blame the snow.
When should I call about decreased movement? Usually this kid is rolling all over the place. For the last 24 hours I've barely felt anything. I've had like 5 glasses of OJ and half a soda and rested for a few hours. I mean I was doing chores this weekend but got plenty of down time
@jlellis603 I wish I knew the answer to that, but does your doctor have a nurse's line or call line anyways? Maybe send a message and they'll get back to you about it. I did read as we get closer to due dates, baby will be sleeping more as they're packing on weight etc.
Re: Symptoms Thread 1/2/17
I started wearing a second maternity support belt really low on Monday to try and crush my hips together, and that has helped me.
