Struggled to find the heartbeat

So I am 11 weeks pregnant with twins. I started bleeding, and went to my OB. He found the first heartbeat instantly- but struggled to find the second. He finally found it, but it was not as loud as the other babies. He told me it was because of the position at the baby and the angle he was getting. 
Does that sound normal? Because I am so nervous over it... 
I go back today at 3 for a full sonogram with the ultrasound tech. He wants her to do all the measurements. So I will know more later, but for now- im stressing.

Try not to worry. 
In Scandinavia we don't get to hear the heartbeat before week 20! They only show us the 'flickering'. 
They say it only worries us if they can't catch the sound. They still have so much space to wonder around. 
At my 9 week ultrasound we had 'lost' my little girl and they had to search and search!

I hope you get some good reassurance at your appointment!  I'm sorry you are going through so much stress right now.  It's good that he found the heartbeats, keep holding onto that.

@Colleen0516 Prior to 16 weeks it can be very hard to find heart beats with a doppler, and a doctor may not always be able to find it because of how tiny the babies are and depending on their positioning. I have no doubt that the sonogram will provide some reassurance for you because it sounds like everything is just fine in there!

It wasnt a doppler, it was an internal sonogram Im hoping he just sucks at doing it or baby a was blocking baby b. 
3:00 cant come soon enough!

I know it's so hard not to worry, so sending positive thoughts your way and that you get some reassurance today. He did find both heartbeats, so try to think of that until your appointment. If something was wrong, I'm sure he would have picked up on it. Your babies are still small, so hopefully it was just the second baby's positioning that made it harder to catch it.

How scary @Colleen0516 but, to echo pp, I'm sure everything will be fine today and it was probably just because of positioning. I'll be thinking of you - what time is your appointment today?

@Colleen0516 finding multiple heartbeats is hard I wouldn't worry. My babies heartbeats weren't always the same. I will tell you when you start feeling kicks generally you only feel them on the left side and my MFM said that is true and he is not sure why most women say that. I worry everyday and I feel like having twins makes you worry double

@ultratomato Huh, I've never heard of generally feeling kicks on the left side. Baby C is my most active, and she's currently hanging out on my right side!

@AandDM2014 maybe it depends on how they are laying inside mine are head down and there both kind of angeled towards left.

@Colleen0516 - I wouldnt worry about them not picking up the heartbeat as easy. My OB doesnt even measure the heartbeats when I go in. I haven't had a regular ultrasound since 11 weeks, but she uses a pocket ultrasound. As long as she can see 2 heartbeats she is happy. Hopefully your appointment at  3 gives you some reassurances

All Is GOOD! Thank god! She told me that she hates the machine he used, it always gives people problems. Both babies looked great! They were moving around and had strong heartbeats! I could see them clear as day and heard them right away! Feeling so much better. 

they don't know why I was bleeding but the hemorrhage looks like it went away!
