I've had this awful pain on the top of my right foot since yesterday. I think the tendons are swollen.... and I think my feet are starting to get a little tight in my boots. Guess I'm gonna have to switch footwear. Buh bye cute knee high boots and hello fugly skiing boots.

Hip pain is killing me at sleep time. I've tried all the things people suggest. I have a pregnancy pillow, I've tried thicker pillows, I do yoga regularly. I think it's just unavoidable for me. It's weird because it's always my top hip that hurts, which seems different from how it is for most others. My back still tempts me. I thought it would be uncomfortable by now but it's still AWESOME when I end up there for a minute or two.
For the past few weeks ive been waking up in the middle of the night, around 4ish for an hour or 2. As a result im ridiculously tired in work & not fully functioning. Also the usual complaints of sore hips, awful heartburn & general moodiness.
I've reached that point where my abdominal muscles have become virtually useless and I can no longer sit straight up from any lying position. Pregnancy is a miracle.
Somehow this baby manages to be ridiculously low creating a pretty nice FUPA while also totally smushing my lungs to the point where I feel like I'm going to die for the better part of the day. Between the heartburn and not breathing we're down to like on position where we can have sex so I've pretty much been exchanging him doing everything around the house and giving me like 5 massages a day for HJ's*
*Joking because he does those things anyway because he's a little bit scared of me. The HJ's are just a morale booster.
Heart burn so bad and my whole body just aches these days by the end of the work day. My feet have been getting a little swollen lately so I have been using my compression socks and they are helping a lot with that.
I was experiencing an on and off extremely itchy rash on my legs and upper arms through out the pregnancy but the last 3ish weeks I have been itch free and it is so amazing not having the feeling where I need to itch my skin off to feel better. So I'm hoping that it just stays away for good now.
Just BH contractions nonstop and cramping. Can't wait to see my midwife tomorrow to put my mind at ease about them!
Sames. I saw my dr last week and he said call if I get 5/hr for 2hrs straight. So I spend all my time tracking them and end up with like 5 one hour and 4 the next.

Really?? Omg I get 5 every hour when I'm at work. Mine told me 8 an hour! I have an app I've been tracking them with. By the end of the school day on my feet I get super close to 8, but they usually calm down once I head home.
I think different Drs give different recs depending on the circumstances as well though. I was told last time 5/hr to put my feet up and drink water and if I had a second hour with 5 to call. This time it's my third and I've had a lot but they aren't turning into anything at this point so the dr told me if I had them every 5 mins for an hour(12) to sit with my feet up and drink water and if they continue like that or don't slow down to call. Or if they felt different/off to call or come in. But she said it's pretty Normal since it's my third that I will have an increased amount and that they probably won't stop till I deliver.
I finally feel wicked pregnant. The past 3 days I have been hit with headaches - which probably stem from extreme shoulder pain, back aches, cramps, insomnia, and heartburn. Not enjoying life right now, wah!

"Wicked pregnant?" Are you in the NorthEast? I'm in MA!

This is interesting to know, because I'm also on my 3rd and with my other 2 I never noticed BH but I have them so often now. I wondered if age had anything to do with it because my youngest is 7. I've been trying everything like drinking water, laying on my left side, putting my feet up and relaxing (I pretty much am always doing that anyway lol) but it's like some days it helps and others the BH just do what they want to do. For me, my Dr did say that if they are consistently coming at even intervals (they were pretty bad, consistent, and close one day) that I need to call and/or go straight to ER to have an evaluation.

Hmm that's kinda crazy. Is your appt soon? Maybe it's worth a call, just to ask what your MW recommends?
I had very few "half" BH last pregnancy (does half the belly hardening count?) and then I had a c section before ever going into labor, so this is brand new to me.
@kswiger06 I'm not sure. My youngest is only two so maybe it's because they are close in age? I didn't feel any bh with the first, then with the second I had some, this time they started by like 20 weeks though. Definitrly go with what your dr reccomend though. That's just what my dr said for me for right now. I do a lot of relaxing too lately. Haha
@lct2008 oh yeah for sure do what the Dr's recommend... I just didn't know that the BH could be present more frequently or obvious with subsequent pregnancies

side note - what app are you using to track?
Yeah I've called and she said it's fine! So weird to me. Last week I called because they were super frequent and I was supposed to do a half hour of lunch duty (and we have to do laps around the cafeteria) and they sent in a note to get me out of that, but she didn't say anything about all my contractions!!
The app is called "My Contrations - Contraction Timer and Tracker". I like it because you track how long it is, but you can also say how bad it is. So if it's just hardening I say "very mild" and if it's crampy I'll say "mild" or medium, just so I know how many of each kind I get. The past few days they have ALL been crampy though. Are yours?

Hmm that's really interesting! And not surprising that they change from provider to provider and person to person. Are yours really crampy too? That's the part of them that concerns me!
@Starfish113 Thanks for the app recommendation! I'm a FTM so all of this contraction/BH stuff is new to me! I had been thinking about downloading some type of app to monitor when the time comes so I can feel like I know what I'm doing lol.
I hit 30 weeks on Saturday, and I'm just feeling all over sore and uncomfortable and stretched to the max. The worst symptom has been sciatic pain, shooting primarily down my left butt cheek (meaning my H is constantly offering to rub my butt--in a totally therapeutic manner, of course). I walk my dog 4.5 miles a day, and I think those times may be coming to an end...

I am a STM and honestly am not 100% sure I know what BH feels like. I think I've been having them here and there, but I'm not sure. My hips and back have been hurting something bad. If I sit for too long I can hardly walk when I stand up. And my belly is growing so fast compared to my last pregnancy and it kinda hurts.

Go girl! I can only make it 2 miles anymore before the need to pee becomes too painful.
I would describe them as period cramping with your stomach becoming really really hard for about 2 minutes. But you can also have the hardening without the cramping!
@Starfish113 it depends for me. I have regular bh throughout the day that are just tightening. But if it's because I've been over doing it I definitely get the tightening with cramping pain.
@Xstatic3333 it's so strange! And sometimes the breathlessness comes just before my stomach tightens.
It totally is! I kept telling my H I just lost my breath for a minute, but I never feel that way when I'm actually exercising. Still haven't felt my stomach tighten though so who knows.
This Wednesday I'll be 33 weeks and I'm at the point where my feet are swelling if I don't put them up, and I can no longer get up off the floor on my own no matter how hard I try.

BH contractions have started. Also, in addition to hip pain in the night, I am waking up with the WORST elbow pain... Seems like I am sleeping ON my elbow, and when I wake up if hurts like hell.
@kswiger06 I didn't realize we were in the same boat! This is also my 3rd and my youngest just turned 6! It's kind of like starting all over, and I feel so old compared to last time!
+1 to swelling and Braxton hicks all the time! I'm on my feet al day though, and need to up my water intake! I feel like I've also got the waddle going. I just keep reminding myself "this is what I wanted"

If mine were just tightening I wouldn't be so worried, but like 90% of the time they are cramping too...
Week 29 has been plagued with anxiety. So. Much. Anxiety. But also all the rage, which gives me more anxiety that this child's first word will be fvck.

Ha, I can't even tell you how many times I've almost peed behind a bush/tree/large parked vehicle. I walk him about 2.25 miles at a time (hour in the morning, hour at night), and that really is legitimately as far as I can go, and only if I empty my bladder approximately three times in a row before we leave.

@tishb I know! I feel ancient compared to my previous pregnancies... and I feel like I'm whining all the time. Yesterday I ran out of breath on the phone with my mom, she said "Are you busy? You sound like you're out of breath." I said "No, I just came up the stairs while I'm talking to you." Lol
I'm still having all day contractions. My new OB doesn't think it's that big of a deal even though I was in L&D with preterm labor and had to get Terbutaline to stop them from coming every two minutes on the monitor. I'm over debating with them and just do what I can daily. Fun new symptoms - my underarms have darkened so I always look dirty and like I have 5 o'clock shadow. And I sprouted what I believe is a raised mole on my face. I need to make a derm appointment to be sure, but it's been there for about three weeks now. Fabulous.
@foxrosy I'm so sorry that even your next doctor is being so casual about this! I may be mixing people up, but aren't you a doctor yourself? Any way you could get a bed rest order through professional favor channels?
