What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children? A supportive husband! Seriously.
I totally get this! My husband and I were snapping turtles for my first two pregnancies and I could never get him to understand what I was going through!
We we had a long talk when I got my BFP about how things have to be different this time. It wasn't accusatory or hostile. It was a heart to heart. I think he got the message. When I sent a text apology about being tired and grumpy he replied that he didn't mind because I'm carrying out third child. HUGE improvement!
Maybe you can just be honest with him about your feelings and coach him on ways that he can support you better. Guys don't get hormones, AT ALL. Shoot, I don't understand how I'm feeling most of the time. My husband is clueless but we talk about ways he can be more supportive or he asks what he could have done differently.

@morgy_bee I am pretty optimistic this time around... I'm divorced and engaged now to an amazing man who is already so supportive and helpful. Pretty much the only thing that he's worried about with a baby is that because I did everything the last time, I won't include him on anything. He WANTS to help with all the things! I'm very lucky!
How many kids do you have? This will be my first little one!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? My boobs are hurting like no other, I'm completely worn out and have a taste aversion to ketchup.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm so exhausted. I really am. I'm not used to being this tired. My husband is a firefighter and he works 24 sometimes 48 hour shifts and when he's home I just want to spend all the time with him but I cannot keep my eyes open!
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children?
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received? I remember going on a mission trip with my church, and my birthday was that week and I was disappointed not to be home with family and friends to celebrate my birthday (I was a teenager at the time), and I didn't know a bunch of the people I was going to be with it. But on my birthday everyone who was on the mission trip pitched in and threw a surprise "party" for me with cupcakes and they all signed a giant singing card. I still have it 7 years later!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? No symptoms yet! With both pregnancies, I suffer terrible tension headaches through the first trimester. Thankfully, it hasn't hit me yet.
Rant/Rave/Questions? We have to buy a minivan!! Wahhhhh... But, on the bright side, new car! Also, not feeling pregnant ftw
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children? A minivan. A baby changing table (two toddlers and a pit).
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received? My husband bought me a Nikon camera with 2 lenses for my first Mother's day. It was stolen during our move
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? I had cramping at 7DPO. I'm assuming implantation? Nothing other than that.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I take a lot of medications and am scared what will happen as I wean down or even off.
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children? I'm going to be starting over. We thought we were done with our 2 kids, but I've always felt like maybe I wanted a third. I've given EVERYTHING baby away over the years. So I pretty much need everything again. Oops!
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received? A few years ago my sister bought me a doll that I had growing up. She found one on ebay still with the box. It was so fun to open!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Nothing yet! Which I should be thankful about?
Rant/Rave/Questions? Is/was anyone feeling as overwhelmed as I am when you found out? Also, it doesn't feel real still. Probably won't until I see a doctor. I want to pee on ten more sticks haha. But I had one suuuper faint line at 9 DPO, and two more pretty clear ones at 10 & 11. I am also nervous still about the idea of a chemical preg.. so I am wary to get excited to early. I know I probably sound neurotic.
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children? n/a
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received? In recent memory, last Christmas my husband hit it out of the park. He is not a natural at gift-giving and he knows it means a lot to me, so it was a total surprise when he got me 3 things not on my list but that he knew I wanted! Something in reference to a favorite TV show (Hannibal), a new release of one of my favorite graphic novel series (The Sandman), and new The Best American Poetry. Yes, I am a nerd.
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? I had cramping at 7DPO. I'm assuming implantation? Nothing other than that.

I am also on some meds that I'm not sure about. My doctor previously had said they were generally considered safe for preg, but still. It is a worry.
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? No symptoms yet. I got nausea around 7 weeks with my first but never threw up my entire pregnancy. I was queasy in the afternoons and super tired during the first trimester. Hoping I don't have nausea this time as it's a phobia of mine.
Rant/Rave/Questions? N/A
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children? Since my babies will only be 18 months apart, I'm stressing about needing a lot more gear since DD1 will not be out of her crib... or car seat... and our single stroller will be useless... ahhh. Also I borrowed a swing last round but that friend is having another baby in February so I guess I'll need to invest in my own this time.
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received? A trampoline when I was a kid. I was the youngest of 4 and every year my parents prepped us with "It's going to be a small Christmas this year, kids." Even though we knew that wasn't what Christmas is about. When they revealed that they got a trampoline for us, I felt like we had won the lottery! I had no idea they were only like $100 lol. We used that thing constantly.
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? feeling a little fatigued and a little nauseous.. but I might also be imagining things.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Rant - So excited to be here!
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children?
Just updated my car from 3 door to an SUV.
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received? I don't think anything will ever be more memorable than when I received my engagement ring.
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? nothing yet, but I didn't start having symptoms with DS until around 6ish weeks
Rant/Rave/Questions?
I'll just soooo happy I got good news that my hcg levels more than doubled.
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children?
I need to get a new umbrella stroller, thinking of either a maclaren or uppababy
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received? Definitely DS!
How many kids do you have? 1 daughter (7 months old today)
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Having the back pain and sulfur taste, which I had before. But so far, that's all. It's still early.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm really excited but really nervous about 2 babies, 15 months apart.
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children? I didn't get to BF with my daughter, and I had to be induced. Would like a more natural birth. And praying for a good sleeper, of which I do not have now.
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received? My husband is so sweet and always gives me handmade cards for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Also, my child.
@tripledaggerWed95976 It's me! I saw you were on here too and I got so excited! Gotta have someone to freak out with! AHH. Violet just turned 7 months yesterday, and I got my BFP yesterday!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Stuffy nose, a little crampy on and off, soooooo tired... last time my nipples were so sore, this time, nothing.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm excited and nervous. I'm naturally a worrier, so I will probably be worried until I'm holding a baby.
Mom confession: I'm dreading the newborn stage. I did not enjoy it with my son.
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children? I didn't get into baby wearing until later. I want to try it from the beginning this time so I can get stuff done
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received?
Actual gift: my first dog who is now 11. He was my first baby, and I still adore him!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies?
So far I'm just feeling tired. Can't remember when symptoms started with my first pregnancy but I think it was pretty early. Last time I had daily morning sickness up until pretty much the day I entered the second trimester. I feel like my sense of smell was really intense early on and the smell of cooking meat made me sick. I also never really had increase hunger through the whole pregnancy, but this go around I'm always hungry.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
Nothing yet
What is one thing you want/need for this baby that you didn’t have/need with previous children?
I had an emergency c-section with my first so we were unprepared and didn't get the customary baby on the scale photo because the camera was still in our room. Kind of silly that I get sad about that but looking forward to being more prepared this go around.
GTKY: what was the most memorable gift you ever received?
Besides by babies, I would say this necklace my mom gave me on my 21st birthday. She was given it on her 21st birthday by her mom. It was the first nice piece of jewelry my grandpa gave her after he finished school and found a career. She worked hard to pay for his college so he could finish his degree after they go married (my great grandma cut him off for marrying my grandma). Looking forward to passing it on to my baby girl on her 21st.
Any other STM's feel super anxious with this pregnancy? I feel like I can't enjoy it because I'm so paranoid that something will go wrong. It was so easy with my first--We conceived right away, and I had the best pregnancy. This one took us 7 months to conceive, and I'm a nervous wreck that something will go wrong and I'll lose the baby. I keep trying to remind myself that I need to enjoy each day, but I worry about every cramp and every ache. I called a new OB this morning because I need a new practice, and they won't see me until 6 weeks, and they don't even do an ultrasound at that point. Ok..vent over.
@kristenk727 this is exactly how i feel with this one. I think I'm going to go buy $1 test and pee on every week until I have an US which isn't until the end of Jan
@EmyB30, I got a 25 pack on Amazon for $10. It still isn't giving me the reassurance I need lol. Until I see the baby and hear a heartbeat, I'm a panicked mess.
@kristenk727 My pregnancy experience was the opposite.. First time TTC it took a long time, and we had a number of medicated cycles through an RE. This time, we conceived on the first cycle. So I'm super nervous, I don't believe that its actually possible that I got pregnant with a perfect little bean on the first try!
I already checked in here, but I wanted to ask if STM+s have noticed their symptoms have been showing up a lot sooner this time around. I think, at 5 weeks I am already feeling some RLP, which seems crazy early to me! I also noticed my m/s hit earlier. Is this just a "every pregnancy is different thing", or are second + pregnancies just quicker?

I definitely noticed more symptoms sooner with my 2nd, but this time it's nothing. I mean I am cold, tired and constipated but that's it. Last time I had extreme food/smell aversions and cravings immediately along with sore boobs. Nothing yet and keeping my FX!!
