Right?! She is only 5 months older than I am and now has 10 kids. I'm working on number one. haha.
• I mean I'm happy for people who can pull ten kids off... I'm just not one of them! LOL mind boggling!
• My cousin just had her 10th child. He was 22 1/2 inches long and 12 lbs 14 oz. :o
I would have a big family if I loved being pregnant but unfortunately I do not like being pregnant at all. I've had complications with each pregnancy and even my mom suggested this be the last one. I'm amazed that people actually still have that many these days. Being pregnant is hard and kids are expensive.

Good god almighty! My hat goes off to her. I'm just trying to think of the logistics of that. This is a legit question: what do they do for transport?! Do they have a bus?? I'm already thinking about how crowded my backseat is going to be with 2!

I have always wanted a "huge" family. Hah. In this day in age that usually means anything more than three! I've never thought ten, but 4-5. Guess it also depends if you get multiples thrown into the mix. Or feel the call add to your family through adoption / fostering

So--I just had my glass Pyrex crack into a million little pieces as I pulled it out of my oven :( I thought these things were indestructible. So much for indulging in dessert tonight.

• I'm the oldest of 9 and hubby is second of 4. I always imagined myself a mom to "at least 4" and there are days now with number 2 on the way when I have legit no idea how my mom managed!

I am guessing they have a 12+ passenger van. Oh, and no multiples. All single births. Apparently they kind of employ the Duggar style of raising a family where the older kids take care of a younger one.

I have heard lots of ppl say once the first couple get old enough to take care of themselves and help it gets easier!
• I was raised Mormon and I knew a lot of families that had 8-12 kids. They usually had a 12 passenger van. But by the time they had that many their oldest children were often driving themselves, out of the house, or even married with kids of their own. I've always thought I would have 4 or 5, and I still would if I could be a SAHM (and if my infertility would allow it). As I get older though the number gets smaller and smaller. I think at this point we are down to wanting the standard 2 maybe 3.

• DH had an ex he was with for 10 yrs prior to me. They all have mutual friends since they grew up together. Now she's having a baby due one day before me. When DH was talking about me being pregnant they thought he was referring to her. Ummm no lol. Her registry actually links to the bump so she could be part of this group. On top of that I have 3 other family members all due in March also.
• I keep asking how you "know" you're ready to be done. Since I've always wanted a big family but no exact number. I assume I'll get to a point where i just throw in the towel and say I'm tired?? Everyone told me after one I'd be less likely to want lots of kids -- but from day 1post baby I said "let's do it again!" Guess we'll see what happens this time around. ;)

@mcdonald-bailey that's a bit awkward! And wow! so many March babies! I actually don't know a single other pregnant woman in my friends or family.
• kjd291 I shattered a Pyrex as well this weekend, but mine was coming out of the fridge with a salad in it. :'(
• My cousin just had her 10th child. He was 22 1/2 inches long and 12 lbs 14 oz. :o
I was so shocked by the 10th I totally breezed over the other numbers. Holy giant baby, batman!

And holy crap that's a big baby. I didn't even notice that either. Was it a c-section?!

Yeah it was. Her first c-section apparently. I feel like I should point out that my cousin is over 6 ft tall so I am guessing she has had big babies before, although she did say #10 was her biggest. Don't know the specifics but it sounds like he might have had a little trouble after he was born since she said she was being discharged and he was still at the hospital. I think they were hoping to bring him home today or tomorrow.

Also, when she announced the birth on Facebook, her dad commented that he didn't even know she was pregnant. Ouch. Either there is some family drama there and she didn't tell him or he is just oblivious and figured she was still pregnant with #9. Best guess is family drama but it makes me laugh to think he was just unaware of a two year long pregnancy. hah
• @kap1988 I do the expiration date thing too! LOL I thought I was the only one

@mcdonald-bailey that's a crazy coincidence!
I have 5 friends who are pregnant (all with boys also) and sometimes wonder if they're on the Bump with their respective months...none are due in March but 2 are due in Feb. I only talk about pregnancy stuff with one of them really; part of me wants to ask her about the Bump but the other part doesn't because I think it'd be awkward if she looked me up on here & vice versa lol

On the topic of big families - I'd love to be able to have 3 kids, which I now consider on the bigger side. DH and I each have just one sibling and he's set on two kids only, already talking about a vasectomy after the 2nd! (which he better not get!) One of his friends actually got the operation done today & DH was explaining more how it works to me tonight. Freaks me out.

• @serenity13 I thought about suggesting the app to my cousin because she's younger and struggling with enjoying her pregnancy as it wasn't planned but then again I wanted to enjoy feeing somewhat anonymous on here so I didn't tell her about it.

WOW that baby is enormous!!! It would totally break my heart if my baby was that big at birth! All my friends babies were around 5-7lbs and that is basically double the weight! that baby wouldn't even fit in newborn clothes :'(

• @Burrberrymum Where on earth do you live?! That snow brings back awful memories of me living in Cleveland.
• I was buying DD's snowsuit a couple months back and at the cash I was like "wow how do people afford more than 2 kids?" .. I can't imagine buying 5 sets of winter crap let alone 10. I suppose hand me downs would make things easier but the thought still crossed my mind when a 3 year olds winter boots, snowsuit, mittens and hat came up to over 300$.

I think after baby #2 I'll be happy and fine, I told SO I suppose we can think about a third when the first 2 are in high school.

Another random, my sister had a baby boy yesterday!!! The first boy in our family!! My dad has 4 sisters, 2 daughters and 3 granddaughters so this boy is pretty darn exciting for all of us!!
I got all my toddlers winter gear for $10 at a consignment sale. There's also lots of FB buy swap sell groups for kids things. IMO for a lot of things kids are as expensive as you make them.
• I always loved the thought of a large family, and have some friends with 4+ kids but TEN! Wow... that is amazing. We will be one and done due to my age and our struggles with infertility and I'm really good with that, knowing there are a bazillion kids of friends that all live within walking distance of our house.

Also so jealous of you all with real snow! We got a dusting but it's gone today. Something about this pregnancy is making me SO excited for the holidays and traditions -- I just want snow and the smell of spruce and cinnamon and to be wrapping gifts near the fire.
• If we were independently wealthy, I would love to have a large family. As it is, with how expensive kids are, our struggles with getting and staying pregnant, as well as my genetic stuff and future surgeries, we are in the one and done camp. Down the road once this baby is older, I'd love to have foster children.

• I always wanted four kids, but DH didn't, and now with seeing how expensive it is... we're going to re-evaluate #3 in a few years when we're down to one in daycare.

Canada lol! (Ontario) We get some pretty brutal winters depending where you are. I'll post another picture mid winter it will be 4-5 times that much snow.

@kjd291 I've had so many AWFUL experiences buying off people. It's so much easier for me and less a waste of time to just go to the store now. I try though to get into those big consignment sales when I can, unfortunately with my work schedule I'm never off on the weekends which is mostly when they are. We have an outgrow outplay sale once a year and I've only been able to make it once when I was pregnant with DD over 3 years ago. they did have some good sales without the bad buying experience. SO did find a Columbia snowsuit almost new in a yard sale for like 5$, only 2 sizes too big but he did grab it even though it's a boys winter set, hopefully when she's that age she still has no preference.
• so first of all, why is it that no matter what kohl's it is, no matter the day, no matter the time...it is always packed!?! went there today, parked in the last parking spot so that it was easier to get DS out... well before I can do that this old lady parked next to me in the road area! I had to tell her it wasn't a spot and then she gets all nasty and says "well you parked here". No ma'am, I parked in between two white lines.. you invented a spot! In all seriousness, I really think once you hit a certain age you should have to retake your driving test every 5 years. So many accidents and deaths could be prevented if we had a way to take people out from behind the wheel that really shouldn't be there. I could write a book on just the things I've seen in the kohl's parking lot.
• @Gators&BoSox Every five years seems generous to me. My step-grandpa has been in 3 accidents in the last years. All his fault. My step-mom is going to have the conversation with him about not driving anymore, which is going to be super awkward. It would be so much better if it came down to do you still have the skills to pass a test rather than a judgement call for families, if there's even any family around that's paying attention.

Speaking of Kohl's though, I went over the weekend and that entire store had ONE rack of maternity clothes! it was 1 style of jeans, one style of leggings, and like 3 shirts. I'm starting to feel desperate about how I'm going to clothe the growing bump at work.
