**I will post this on Wednesdays going forward, but since we didn't get one this week, I thought I'd go ahead and post!** This check-in is for moms pregnant with their second, third, fourth, etc! How far along are you? How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Rant/Rave/Questions? GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around?
How far along are you? 6 weeks + 3 days How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) 4.5 year old boy named Colt Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? much different! Exhausted, nausea, cravings. Had no symptoms last time around! Rant/Rave/Questions? GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I don't want to find out the sex. My husband does so it may be a fight
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Everleigh, 13months Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Alot is different this pregnancy! Last time I was exhausted all the time, couldn't eat anything and lost a bunch of weight. This time, I'm not as tired (YAY!) STARVING all the time, having major acne. The same is the bloat (blah). Rant/Rave/Questions? We've stayed strong this time and not told anyone yet! Holding out for Thanksgiving! I'm excited to tell my family, but I also think it's awkward cause it's basically like telling them, "Hey! We had sex!" GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I want to just relax more this time. Last time I worried about every little thing. I was terrified to breastfeed in public cause I was uncomfortable. This time I just want to enjoy my (4 month!) maternity leave!
@Cynth0104 We didn't find out with our first, but my husband wanted to SO bad. I told him I was the one who had to carry the baby for 9 months and then push it out, I got to pick! lol
How far along are you? 3+5 How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) 2.5 year old boy named Cooper Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I think I'm still too early to have many symptoms but last time I had insane heartburn starting at 4DPO and lasting the.entire.pregnancy. And he didn't even have that much hair! Rant/Rave/Questions? Work is kicking my butt lately, even before my bfp. I'm so exhausted from all of the OT so there is no way to know if it's from all the work or pregnancy. I have to work another 16 hour shift today and then all weekend. I so desperately want to scream "I'm pregnant! Leave me alone!" but we aren't telling anyone for a while. GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Eat healthier. I just ate whatever I felt like last time and while I didn't GAIN a ton of weight, it was super hard to lose. (who am I kidding... i didnt really lose any of it...)
How far along are you? 5 weeks today How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) my sweet boy is 12.5 months Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I had basically no symptoms with my son until close to 7 weeks, this time I am not so lucky. I have been nauseous for days, the exhaustion is setting in... everything that's came later is here early and in full swing Rant/Rave/Questions? I get to go hold a brand spanking new baby girl today! So excited! GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Although it's not entirely up to me, I REALLY don't want another c section. FX this baby goes heads down and I actually progress. I'd also like to keep my weight gain down a little! I puffed up like a blowfish at the end of my first pregnancy.
Married:09/27/14

How old are your kiddos? ( names if your comfortable telling) Aubrey, 4. Brody, 2.
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? how is it same? Very similar to DD's pregnancy with the nausea that comes and goes, and the same cravings. Similar to DS's with coffee aversion.
rants/Raves/Questions? I'm terrified of having another cs. The first was emergency, the second was repeat bc I couldn't do a VBAC. I honestly don't even want to try to do a VBA2C.
GTKY: What is one thing you'd do differently this time around? I'm going to try not to worry as much, my second stressed me out to the point of being depressed. I had so many feelings about how was I going to have enough love for two, how to share time, I felt like I was taking away me from DD. This time I just want to enjoy my babies, they are happy to have another baby, and I am too. However, I am worried that DD is going to tell some of my family we are visiting the weekend.
How far along are you? 4w2d How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Max is 3 and Mia is 18 months Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I have to pee all the time so that's been consistent in all 3 pregnancies but my boobs hurt so bad with this one and they never did with either baby. Rant/Rave/Questions? DH and I don't plan on telling people until January *TW* we had a loss between DS and DD so we are being cautious because it sucked having to tell everyone and have people ask. So hopefully I don't cave! GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Not gain as much weight. I had just started really getting into good eating and workout habits before I got pregnant so I'm hoping I can stick with it and that the fatigue won't get the best of me
Married: 05/26/2012

How far along are you?3w3d How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) E is 3 and A is 1 Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Too early to tell yet, really. Less cramps, I think. Rant/Rave/Questions? nope GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I want to take more bump pics, lol
How far along are you? 7w3d How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) DD- 2 Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I throw up every single morning about 5 min after I wake up even though I have literally nothing to throw up but my body seems to think I do... I did not have this with DD. throwing up yes but not regularly every single morning at the same time. My food aversions also became horrible earlier this time. Last time I had some cravings and foods that were safe but this time nothing seems to be. My pregnancy Rhinitis just took over from my cold from 1DPO and looks like it will be here for the long haul so this was earlier than I got it last time. Rant/Rave/Questions? Just happy my bronchitis is getting better but still a lot of coughing up stuff and hacking that doesn't help when I'm really nauseous and trying to avoid throwing up GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Be more active. I was extremely active going into this pregnancy unlike last time and have a lot more lean mass and am starting 25# lighter so I want to have a fit pregnancy also a VBAC. DD was breech from 30 weeks on and I did EVERYTHING possible including a painful version but she stayed and I had to have a c section (although I kind of went into spontaneous labor) and it was not a good experience. I want so bad to have a vaginal birth this time
How far along are you? 7 weeks 1 day How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Sophia (2) and David (1) Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? Much sicker, I had bad MS with my first and this one takes the cake but I had almost no symptoms with my second. How is it the same? I had funky smelling pee all three times, I know you were all dying to know that... Rant/Rave/Questions? My biggest concern is the logistics of three babies. I need to be autonomous but the thought of taking three kids three and under shopping or anyway really frightens me GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Just try to savor it more. I am bery confident this will be our last so I want to enjoy all of the little and big things. I will have to have another CS as I have a "manly" pelvis (my daughter was getting a cone head at -3 station after 14 hours of labor - but I had an emergency c-section under general anesthesia and that was so horrible so I am hoping I can have another planned c-section with a spinal block. I looked at the first pictures of me holding each of my babies after the c-sections and there is a crazy difference in how I looked and felt.
How far along are you? 7+4 How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Declan is 15 months Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? This time I'm exhausted but having trouble sleeping, last time I could sleep forever. How is it the same? Very few symptoms Rant/Rave/Questions? GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Get us into a routine earlier. When we brought DS home we were lost and confused and did most things the hard way because we had zero routine (note I said routine not schedule because a newborn on a schedule is a unicorn).
How far along are you? 4.5 weeks? How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Carly, 5 yo Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I never had morning sickness or food aversions with the first, just debilitating migraines in the first trimester, and mean hemorrhoids starting from 1st tri that got progressively worse through the pregnancy (gross and tmi, I know) - Yesterday I felt nauseous all day and feeling like it's the same today. Also? Headache all day yesterday, through the night, and this morning. Oh, insomnia. I'm only 4.5 weeks and I'm scared of what 1st tri is going to bring.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm so busy at work now that I just want to get through 1st tri ad I'm terrified of the migraines I got last time.
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around?
We're going to find out the sex this time. We're going to roll up to our scheduled c section and relax more (the first was brutal - 50 hours of labor and then her head shifted and she started going back up the canal, so csection it was)
How far along are you? 6 + 2 How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Rebecca -7 and Caroline 4 Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Sore boobs, insomnia, thirsty and peeing all the time (bad combo...) very different from my first two, no mood swings, not falling asleep at 630 at night, and no nausea yet (keeping my fingers crossed. Rant/Rave/Questions? I think I'm still in a bit of denial, to the point I haven't even told the hubby yet (does that make me a bad personal?) GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Not gain excess weight, I'm starting at my almost highest non-pregnant weight and it is not a happy place to be
How far along are you? 6 weeks 6 days How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) William is 14 months today, actually. Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? So far, I don't feel a whole lot different than the last time around, just more aware of the hormones that are hitting me. Last time, I didn't know what they felt like, so I wasn't confident enough to say "yes, this is pregnancy affecting me". This time, I knew I was pregnant a week before I even turned a test. I feel fine, but I am also moodier than the last go round. And I haven't bled yet (I did for 4 weeks with Will), which is probably why I am, generally speaking, more relaxed at this point than last time. Rant/Rave/Questions? We saw a heartbeat this week, which made me breathe a whole lot easier, but now I'm chomping at the bit to tell people, and I'm going a bit nuts because we agreed to wait till Christmas because it's the first time we'll both be home with family. We are a military family living in Hawaii but moving back to Connecticut in the middle of December. We want to tell everyone in person, but it is so hard to wait!! GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Honestly, not much. I'm a pretty laid back mom in general, so the only thing I can think to maybe want to do differently is be a little more proactive with my postnatal hormone followup. The baby blues toed the line pretty closely to postpartum depression for me and I broke a bone in my inner ear during delivery that made me seasick all the time. I finally went in to talk to a doctor about how I was scared to hold my baby, sobbing because I knew I shouldn't be feeling that way, and was given a prescription from Scopolomine, which is a seasickness patch. I literally wore it for six weeks before I could take it off without the nausea coming back, but as long as I had it on, I felt normal and could focus on being a mom. I wish I'd trusted myself in the beginning enough to know that something wasn't right with how I felt instead of just chalking it up to "I just gave birth so of course I feel like crap".
Married 25 May, 2013 William Alexander born 18 September, 2015 Harper Grace born 9 June, 2017 Colton Miles born 9 June, 2017 Bowen James due 19 June, 2019
How far along are you? Just five weeks. How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling). Norelle is almost 8, Liira is 4, and Aveline is 1. Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? So far this is the same, EXCEPT it is the only unplanned pregnancy. Rant/Rave/Questions? Anyone else feeling more overwhelmed than excited? I hate that I feel this way when I know others struggle with fertility, but I was not expecting to have a baby so soon after my last. GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Keep exercising throughout. Going well so far.
How far along are you? 7 weeks 6 days How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling). Audrey is 11 months Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? So far very similar. I'm pretty tired with all day nausea. Only big difference is that I'm not very hungry, so I have to force myself to eat since I'm also still nursing my daughter. Last time I was just as nauseated, but I was also constantly hungry. Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm not ready to tell my family because I'm not looking forward to all of the criticism about nursing while pregnant. They already give me grief that I'm still breastfeeding at 11 months, they expected me to stop a lot earlier, so I know it's only going to increase. GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Not gain as much weight. I gained 50 lbs with my daughter and got a lot of grief about it from my OB weekly. Didn't seem to matter to her that it was mostly water and I lost it quickly.
How far along are you?5 + 1 How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling)4.5 - Maddox 2.5 - Nolan Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same?Haven't had any symptoms so far other than some crabbiness and slightly sore boobs. Pretty much the same as the first two. Rant/Rave/Questions?My youngest has been waking up every morning around 4am to pee for the last several weeks and it needs to stop! We need to enjoy full nights of sleep while it's possible. GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Exercise more and advocate for myself more while in labor.
How far along are you? 5 weeks 3 days How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) DS 17 months
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Heartburn reared its ugly head much earlier this time!
Rant/Rave/Questions? DS is at the super helpful stage (helps me empty grocery bags, pushes laundry basket down hallway while I pull it, etc) so I'm really excited for baby to come. I have a feeling he's going to be such a helpful and loving big brother!!
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I'm expecting a GD diagnosis since I had it last time. I've started making changes already so if I do get diagnosed, I'll already have a head start on making food choices that helped me manage my blood sugar last time (low carb bread, more protein/veggies ). Hopefully it will make the transition easier this time around, because going from eating ice cream every day to no ice cream while pregnant....not fun
How far along are you? 5 W 5 D How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Patrick aka PJ (3) Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Same as before so far. sore boobs, EXHAUSTED, and starting to feel nauseous. last time I had a strong meat aversion. right now it's only chicken that I can't stand, so I hope that's it. Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm really nervous this time around. When PJ was 9 mos, my husband had a stroke. He's a brain cancer survivor, and the stroke was a long-term side affect of radiation treatment. It really affected him memory and cognitive processes. About a year later, he had a seizure, and about a year after that he had six more. He's been on new medications ever since that seem t be helping. He has also been on disability for a year and a half, but he will finally be allowed to drive again in March (Fax). I often feel very alone in the adult world. He's wonderful, and as we've established routines and stucture, his cognition and memory have improved, but our marriage has changed drastically since last time. I am worried about how he can seem mildly emotionally detached oftentimes, and he doesn't solve problems as well as he used to. He was a doting dad-to-be and amazing daddy the first time, but I just don't know this time... GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Accept more help from my friends and family (see above), try to not GAIN wait breastfeeding (bc that's just crap), and take more bump pics.
How far along are you? 6+3 How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) My DS is 9 months Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Nausea and cravings. With my last pregnancy the only symptom I was worried about was dizziness - super different so far. Rant/Rave/Questions? I am absolutely dreading telling MY FAMILY. We decided to announce to family over thanksgiving (provided everything goes well at my US on monday) and my parents opted to go on vacation, and my sister cancelled coming to us because she just met a guy who might hang out with her on Thanksgiving (she's 10 years younger than I am so those are her priorities). So I'm kind of just thinking about them finding out with the rest of the world instead. If I'm not face to face with them to strong arm my mother into not saying anything she'd probably beat me to a public announcement and post it on her FB. (this has happened previously). GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Want to do differently? Have a fully set up, Land of Nod catalog type nursery. Probably not going to happen - we had just moved when my DS was born, and this time we'll be in the middle of renovations...
@babypi I keep hearing about these OBs who harp on weight constantly. That would drive me nuts! I gain quickly (and a fair amount, probably around 50lb+) while pregnant, but I lose it quickly too. If my doctor harasses me about my weight I will seriously plotz. As it is, I ask them not to tell me the number when they weigh me at each appointment.
@chiquita928 I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's health. I know strokes can cause all sorts of changes (the brain is so sensitive), and to have seizures on top of that. Glad to hear his meds seem to be helping as well as establishing a routine. It sounds like you are a very strong and supportive partner, and I'm glad you have a support system too.
How far along are you?
6 weeks 4 days
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling).
3 and 1.75, both girls
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same?
Nausea, exhaustion, acne. Same as other two at the beginning.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I'd like to be more at peace with my pregnant body. I'm naturally slender and eat normally when I'm pregnant, but I gain lots of weight (not an insane amount, but definitely not 25lb or whatever the recommended amount is). This bothers me because it is so tiring and hard on my body to carry so much extra weight around. And I gain weight in annoying places (arms and chest, leading to the dreaded double chin). But it's just what my body does when I'm pregnant, and I need to be ok with that. Besides, I have two girls and I don't want them to see me worried about my weight. My mom was really good about weight issues (she never talked about dieting or wanting to lose weight) and I think that's why I have a pretty healthy relationship with weight and food. I want to pass that along to my girls.
How far along are you? 8 wks How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) almost 5 (in 3 weeks) and my step son is 3.5 Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? pretty similar. I have minimal symptoms, just extremely sore boobs and a general feeling of nausea without actually getting sick. I feel like I have a few more food aversions this time around, but they are minimal. Rant/Rave/Questions? I am very strongly against finding out, but DH is adamant we do find out. I loathe gender reveals, and really like the excitement of finding out the sex when baby is born. But he's major type A and feels like we can't adequately plan without knowing (which is false, because I didn't find out last time and we did just fine) GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I really want to avoid an epidural this time. Last pregnancy I had one reluctantly and ended up with a spinal headache afterwards. I'd much rather deal with the labor pains than the headache afterwards.
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling)
Isaiah is 5, Ivy will be 2 in a few weeks and Idris is 10 months.
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? So far the same lots of nausea , no vomiting. Rant/Rave/Questions? GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? No bed sharing !
How far along are you? 7w5d How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Tyler is 3.5 and Audree is 2 today! Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I'm super tired, but this time around I'm dealing with nausea - I had NONE with DS and like 1 day with DD. Rant/Rave/Questions? Not at the moment GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? During pregnancy? NOT gain 50+ pounds. During delivery, not stress out about my 3rd csection.
How far along are you? 6+1 How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) 1 DS he is 10 in a month
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? From what I recall it's the same... nausea, fatigue , bloating...
Rant/Rave/Questions? 10 more days until ultrasound . ..
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? A lot. Things have changed in the baby world in ten years and I was university student living off of my student loan last time. I had a lot of energy 10 years ago too... So I think I will have more things this time. because I can afford them, and I might need them more!
@tsarina Thank you. It's funny because last pregnancy (and wedding planning, and everything) I would get all offended when my MIL would do chores when she was over, give unsolicited advice and whatnot. Once everything hit the fan around here, though, I was so grateful that she was willing to be so helpful. Perspective.
@tsarina It drives me nuts too. Crazy thing is, I've never really been anything other than comfortable in my weight. But now I find myself worrying about gaining too much again. Ugh. I also eat really healthy, so it was frustrating to have my dr telling me to cut out junk and eat better because I was gaining too much. I lost all the weight by 6 months PP too.
How far along are you? 5weeks How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Cora is 16 months old Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? So far I think it's similar. I don't feel I'm as exhausted, YET, but my work schedule is definitely different this time as well which could be a big reason for that too. GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I want to be more relaxed. My first pregnancy I was so scared of doing anything to hurt her. I also gained way to much weight. So I'd like to not do that this time too. I just lost 25 lbs and then found out I'm pregnant.
How far along are you? 7w6d How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) almost 3yr old son Hunter Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? This pregnancy has been a lot worse. The nausea set in at 5 weeks and has been constant! W my first I really didn't have anything till 7 weeks and it was mild. Rant/Rave/Questions? This nausea is making me so snippy and I'm afraid everyone is going to hate me!! GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I don't want to gain as much weight as I did w my first. I want to be healthier and more relaxed. I was a nervous wreck last time!
* How far along are you? 6w5d * How old are your kiddos? DD Alyza is 17 mos * Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Similar exhaustion to last time - first pregnancy I was working longer hours. Now I'm working FT hours, but have a toddler at home! Morning sickness started at 7w last time. Praying it doesn't rear its head again this time! * Rant/Rave/Questions: My EDD is July 10. (No dating ultrasound yet). I am MOH for my sister July 8, in a town an hour away from the closest hospital. Am I crazy??? * GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time? I'm on the same page as many of the other women here -- I don't want to gain as much weight. I gained 50 lbs with my last pregnancy. Then, I got back down to my pre-pregnancy weight by 12 mos pp bf. But after weaning I gained back 20lbs. So I'm starting out 20lbs heavier than last time, and my OB already was on my case about my weight constantly last time... I have the same OB this time. Plus I need to fit in a bridesmaid dress 2 days before my DD...
How far along are you? 4 weeks How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) 10 (Dante) 4 (James) 3 (Alex) 13 (Keiko-stepdaughter) Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? hmmmm more queasy stomach already than the other 4. Barely had any symptoms with my 2nd pregnancy(oldest son) but youngest 2 boys I had the tiredness and sore boobs right from the start. Rant/Rave/Questions? GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? We aren't telling everyone so early this time around. Keeping it to ourselves till at least christmas maybe longer (my bf and his bf were told but no one else).
How far along are you? 4w3d How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Grayson, turned 1 last week Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? i haven't had many symptoms yet, but i didn't realyy get any until 6 weeks with my son Rant/Rave/Questions? GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I am hoping to relax and enjoy the pregnancy more. I had 2 mc before my son so I was constantly anxious and preparing myself for bad news.
How far along are you? 6 weeks today How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling)My first son was born 3-3-10 so he is 6.5 and my second son was born 10-29-15. Their names are Bryce and Brody. Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? So far my symptoms are mild cramping, on and off sore boobs (sometimes they are super sore and others not so much), food aversions, mild nausea, hunger, and exhaustion. My first pregnancy was miserable, but my second pregnancy was amazing. So far this pregnancy is almost identical to my second and I hope it continues to stay that way. Rant/Rave/Questions? GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Since this will be my last pregnancy and then I will be getting my tubes tied when I go in for my c section, I want to enjoy this pregnancy. With my other two pregnancies, I just couldn't wait for it to be over, but knowing that this is the last time that I will ever be pregnant, I want to not rush things and enjoy every single second of it.
How far along are you? 4+3 How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling)Declan 3, Hadley 17months, Mason 17months Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? my first I felt great, feeling similar to my second, nausea, fatigue food aversions. Rant/Rave/Questions? anxiously awaiting our first son to see if there is one munchkin or 2 jellybeans GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I would really like to enjoy this pregnancy, I stressed so much with my twins and hope to be more laid back this time.
How far along are you? 8 weeks today How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Joey is 4 Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Nausea, cramps a bit (but I am on progesterone shots), still have major aversions to food! I had nausea with the first as well. Rant/Rave/Questions? Had a little spotting yesterday. Scary! It stopped but my doctor will still see me on Monday to take another peak at the little bean due to this being an IVF pregnancy. GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Definitely eat better this pregnancy. Also, once baby is here, I will definitely trust my own gut instincts more, rather than listening to the advice of others.
@babypi DD2 is almost 18 months and I still nurse her at night. With DD1, she loved nursing and everyone told me that I needed to wean her before DD2 came or she'd be jealous of the baby. I planned to tandem nurse but DD1 weaned herself and no jealousy. You do you.
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Ella is 4

Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? much different! Exhausted, nausea, cravings. Had no symptoms last time around!
Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I don't want to find out the sex. My husband does so it may be a fight
How far along are you? 4+3
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Everleigh, 13months
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Alot is different this pregnancy! Last time I was exhausted all the time, couldn't eat anything and lost a bunch of weight. This time, I'm not as tired (YAY!) STARVING all the time, having major acne. The same is the bloat (blah).
Rant/Rave/Questions? We've stayed strong this time and not told anyone yet! Holding out for Thanksgiving! I'm excited to tell my family, but I also think it's awkward cause it's basically like telling them, "Hey! We had sex!"
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I want to just relax more this time. Last time I worried about every little thing. I was terrified to breastfeed in public cause I was uncomfortable. This time I just want to enjoy my (4 month!) maternity leave!
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) 2.5 year old boy named Cooper
Symptoms?

How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) my sweet boy is 12.5 months
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I had basically no symptoms with my son until close to 7 weeks, this time I am not so lucky. I have been nauseous for days, the exhaustion is setting in... everything that's came later is here early and in full swing
Rant/Rave/Questions? I get to go hold a brand spanking new baby girl today! So excited!
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Although it's not entirely up to me, I REALLY don't want another c section. FX this baby goes heads down and I actually progress. I'd also like to keep my weight gain down a little! I puffed up like a blowfish at the end of my first pregnancy.
Our Angel: EDD: 05/11/17. MC at 6 weeks

How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Max is 3 and Mia is 18 months
Symptoms?

How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) DD- 2
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I throw up every single morning about 5 min after I wake up even though I have literally nothing to throw up but my body seems to think I do... I did not have this with DD. throwing up yes but not regularly every single morning at the same time. My food aversions also became horrible earlier this time. Last time I had some cravings and foods that were safe but this time nothing seems to be. My pregnancy Rhinitis just took over from my cold from 1DPO and looks like it will be here for the long haul so this was earlier than I got it last time.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Just happy my bronchitis is getting better but still a lot of coughing up stuff and hacking that doesn't help when I'm really nauseous and trying to avoid throwing up
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Be more active. I was extremely active going into this pregnancy unlike last time and have a lot more lean mass and am starting 25# lighter so I want to have a fit pregnancy also a VBAC. DD was breech from 30 weeks on and I did EVERYTHING possible including a painful version but she stayed and I had to have a c section (although I kind of went into spontaneous labor) and it was not a good experience. I want so bad to have a vaginal birth this time

Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? Much sicker, I had bad MS with my first and this one takes the cake but I had almost no symptoms with my second. How is it the same? I had funky smelling pee all three times, I know you were all dying to know that...
Rant/Rave/Questions? My biggest concern is the logistics of three babies. I need to be autonomous but the thought of taking three kids three and under shopping or anyway really frightens me
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Just try to savor it more. I am bery confident this will be our last so I want to enjoy all of the little and big things. I will have to have another CS as I have a "manly" pelvis (my daughter was getting a cone head at -3 station after 14 hours of labor - but I had an emergency c-section under general anesthesia and that was so horrible so I am hoping I can have another planned c-section with a spinal block. I looked at the first pictures of me holding each of my babies after the c-sections and there is a crazy difference in how I looked and felt.
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Declan is 15 months
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? This time I'm exhausted but having trouble sleeping, last time I could sleep forever. How is it the same? Very few symptoms
Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Get us into a routine earlier. When we brought DS home we were lost and confused and did most things the hard way because we had zero routine (note I said routine not schedule because a newborn on a schedule is a unicorn).

Symptoms?
We're going to roll up to our scheduled c section and relax more (the first was brutal - 50 hours of labor and then her head shifted and she started going back up the canal, so csection it was)
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Rebecca -7 and Caroline 4
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same?
Sore boobs, insomnia, thirsty and peeing all the time (bad combo...) very different from my first two, no mood swings, not falling asleep at 630 at night, and no nausea yet (keeping my fingers crossed.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I think I'm still in a bit of denial, to the point I haven't even told the hubby yet (does that make me a bad personal?)
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Not gain excess weight, I'm starting at my almost highest non-pregnant weight and it is not a happy place to be

How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling)
William is 14 months today, actually.

How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling).
Audrey is 11 months
Symptoms?

DS 17 months
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Patrick aka PJ (3)
Symptoms?
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) My DS is 9 months
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? Nausea and cravings. With my last pregnancy the only symptom I was worried about was dizziness - super different so far.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I am absolutely dreading telling MY FAMILY. We decided to announce to family over thanksgiving (provided everything goes well at my US on monday) and my parents opted to go on vacation, and my sister cancelled coming to us because she just met a guy who might hang out with her on Thanksgiving
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? Want to do differently? Have a fully set up, Land of Nod catalog type nursery. Probably not going to happen - we had just moved when my DS was born, and this time we'll be in the middle of renovations...

How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) almost 5 (in 3 weeks) and my step son is 3.5
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? pretty similar. I have minimal symptoms, just extremely sore boobs and a general feeling of nausea without actually getting sick. I feel like I have a few more food aversions this time around, but they are minimal.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I am very strongly against finding out, but DH is adamant we do find out. I loathe gender reveals, and really like the excitement of finding out the sex when baby is born. But he's major type A and feels like we can't adequately plan without knowing (which is false, because I didn't find out last time and we did just fine)
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I really want to avoid an epidural this time. Last pregnancy I had one reluctantly and ended up with a spinal headache afterwards. I'd much rather deal with the labor pains than the headache afterwards.
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Tyler is 3.5 and Audree is 2 today!
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I'm super tired, but this time around I'm dealing with nausea - I had NONE with DS and like 1 day with DD.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Not at the moment
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? During pregnancy? NOT gain 50+ pounds. During delivery, not stress out about my 3rd csection.

GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around?
A lot. Things have changed in the baby world in ten years and I was university student living off of my student loan last time. I had a lot of energy 10 years ago too... So I think I will have more things this time. because I can afford them, and I might need them more!

Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same?
So far I think it's similar. I don't feel I'm as exhausted, YET, but my work schedule is definitely different this time as well which could be a big reason for that too.
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around?
I want to be more relaxed. My first pregnancy I was so scared of doing anything to hurt her. I also gained way to much weight. So I'd like to not do that this time too. I just lost 25 lbs and then found out I'm pregnant.
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) almost 3yr old son Hunter
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? This pregnancy has been a lot worse. The nausea set in at 5 weeks and has been constant! W my first I really didn't have anything till 7 weeks and it was mild.
Rant/Rave/Questions? This nausea is making me so snippy and I'm afraid everyone is going to hate me!!
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I don't want to gain as much weight as I did w my first. I want to be healthier and more relaxed. I was a nervous wreck last time!
* How old are your kiddos? DD Alyza is 17 mos
* Symptoms?

Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? i haven't had many symptoms yet, but i didn't realyy get any until 6 weeks with my son
Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I am hoping to relax and enjoy the pregnancy more. I had 2 mc before my son so I was constantly anxious and preparing myself for bad news.
How old are your kiddos?

Rant/Rave/Questions? anxiously awaiting our first son to see if there is one munchkin or 2 jellybeans
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I would really like to enjoy this pregnancy, I stressed so much with my twins and hope to be more laid back this time.
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) Joey is 4
Symptoms?
Rant/Rave/Questions? We are taking our DD to Disneyland in two weeks and I'm just a little depressed that I won't be able to ride hardly any of her favorite rides with her. Sad!
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around? I want to relax and enjoy the newborn phase. I'm also going to take more time off of work, even if that means not getting paid. I just want to soak it all in, the good & the bad.
How old are your kiddos? (and names if you're comfortable telling) 15 months
Symptoms? How is this pregnancy different from the first? How is it the same? I'm not having as many symptoms as I did with my daughter. At this point with my pregnancy with her I was off most foods. Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: What is one thing you want to do differently this time around?
I want to be able to get the VBAC I so desperately want. Never even got to labor with my daughter and while the c section saved her life and I have no regrets, I do feel sad that I never got to experience a natural childbirth.
