Oooh the lack of trolls! Maybe that's what it is that's making me bored. I mostly come on here when I'm waiting for a slow import at work or ignoring my kids at night because I might Crack if I have to watch one more episode of Little Einstein, so I rarely get on in time to make any sense of the randoms thread. But, it's probably the lack of trolls, really.

I have one this week... I don't get the professional family photo sessions for Christmas. This is a huge thing around where I live. SO many people do these holiday photo sessions. I'm all about professional family photos, but why do you want your family in Christmas attire? I get that they'll be dressed up, but I wouldn't want our Christmas outfits in a picture to be displayed all year long. Anytime I would look at the picture, I think it would make me sad that it wasn't Christmas time. We usually do our family photo in the summer.
I think instead of just a bitchfest it can be like.. monday magnificants or moans. So we can share good things too. My last BMB does this and its so noce to see the positives.
On tuesday we do TWT Tuesday aka twatwaffle taco. The bad gets a waffle and the good gets a taco. We have such a deep love for tacos too.
Then we have WTF/Winning Wednesday which is pretty self explanatory.
FWIW, we still do a bunch of these nearly 3 years later and I think thats why it works. Plus we know each other so much better now and its a nice way to either vent or brag or both.
I'd love a post to see what people are buying or have received for baby (or even just pregnancy). I know it may be a bit early for that, but just a thought
Plus I just realized we haven't done a TMI post in a bit. Maybe it's the nurse in me, but I always have gross questions and kinda like to hear about others as well. Now that I'm thinking of it, do you think I really smell as bad ALL THE TIME as I feel like I do? Or is my pregnancy nose just killing my self esteem. Although, my husbands scent is nearly repulsive to me these days. (I'm a terrible wife)
I think the board is pretty active Wed-Friday because we have the "popular" posts those days. HDBD, UO, FFFC... and then it gets super quiet over the weekend and takes a couple days to pick back up I think! I like the structure of the board but I'm more of an OCD organized person! Plus I kind of wonder if the board is more quiet right now because early second trimester is pretty low key. Wait until the anatomy scans and third trimester hits, I bet it picks up more.
I'm more active those days but that's my weekend. I'm off Friday and Saturday. My Thursday's are usually pretty chill and beginning of my week are longer working hours and just usually crazier in general.

Not just you! DH came home from work, gave me a kiss and sent me running to the bathroom. Everything either smells too strongly to be pleasant or absolutely disgusting.
@JonesBaby0624 I hope distance helps! It's hard, but at the end of the day, you guys love eachother and have your own family, that's the one that matters. It's what I remind myself when ILs do something upsetting.
@Candy_bandit Ugh! Yes!!! I hate that stupid, awkwardly fitted mesh underwear they give you after birth. I don't get why anyone thinks it's comfortable...
Omg fml. Stuck in a series of boxes. TMI Tuesday was my one woman crusade to get the yuck on the board going. I'll be better about remembering it @ShadeofGreen816

Agreed with you and @Candy_bandit, those things are so awkward and dumpy. BUT what I liked about them was that they were totally disposable. I wore them for maybe the first week after birth and it was nice that I could stuff them with an ice pack and toss them afterward, OR if they accidentally got blood on them (yep, FTMs, prepare yourself for that...the week after birth is messy)--less laundry=less things to do=slight shred of sanity retained.

I agree that they are slightly awkward and they certainly look terrible, but I agree with @Kipperoo - being disposable is key! It also helps that they are so very stretchy, so they had no problem accommodating the gigantic padsicles that soothed my sad lady bits.

@ShadeofGreen816 i think I can one up you there, I can't stand the breath of my sweet little 15 month old. I feel so bad about it, but when I kiss him up (which i still do constantly) i can't help but think, ughh ick. I asked my husband if he notices it too but he assured me it's just my pregnant nose. Don't get me wrong if i get too close to anyone I think their breath smells but I just thought my maternal instincts would make it so DS was excluded. Also I used depends for the weeks after birth and I much preferred them to the hospital underwear. They were super absorbent, they never leaked and I could stick padsicles in them and they would also catch any melting. Definitely going that route again.
@ShadeofGreen816 - if it helps at all, I'm having the same issue with my husband. He mopes around talking about how we never DTD anymore, and all I can think is "maybe if you took showers twice a day, we would". (I mean, we probably still wouldn't, but his natural scent is not helping the issue!)
I second depends over the mesh underwear. Better leak protection and disposable also. Can fit huge pads for the first couple days. Also the black ones were not the ugliest things ever. The mesh ones caused all kinds of leaks for me. I would stand up at the hospital and it would suddenly look like a crime scene on the floor. Depends for the win!
I wore Depends to bed the last 6 weeks of my last pregnancy I started peeing in the bed way too often. I never thought to pack them in the hospital bag though.
@tenfour childbirth has a way of putting that kind of thing in perspective (at least for me) lol. Also I ordered mine online, not having walk around with them in a shopping cart or make eye contact with the checkout person made it a smidge less humiliating
Lol. I didn't even think my second baby was cute. He was nine days late and red and wrinkly and omg his nose looked crazy. He was gorgeous a few weeks later though.
