Yesterday at work, I was leaving for lunch and I walked up to one of my coworkers' car and tried to open it. She drives a compact car and I drive an SUV. so how did I do that??
Someone at work told me something they needed me to do (something basic) and the minute they walked away I forgot what it was. Like, couldn't even guess, NO clue. I had to go ask them what it was because I couldn't remember. So embarrassing.
I was working on a project at work and my manager was headed home. She asked me to just turn off the lights and lock the office door when I was done. On my way home, I got a text from one of my coworkers asking if I was still there because she saw the manager's office with the light on and the door wide open. I told her I had already left and asked her if she could kindly take care of that for me. Luckily, she was one of the few that knew of my pregnancy at the time. Lol.
Pregnancy brain hits me hard when I'm trying to drive somewhere. On Monday I drove the opposite direction to my dentists office. You guys, I live in a town of approximately 9,000, it's really not that difficult to get anywhere. Apparently it is when pregnant. Also another time I drove in circles around the complete wrong part of town looking for someone's house.
The other day I thought I grabbed my debit card when I went to the grocery store (without the rest of my wallet) and it turned out I grabbed my library card instead. Of course I didn't notice until it was time for me to pay for my groceries either. I was so embarrassed I made DH go back and pay for the groceries.
My son asked to go to McDonalds. I talked him into Braums, so I could get the Pecan Pie Ice Cream...crazy yum. I then drove to Braums and attempted to order Chicken McNuggets. The poor workers said "Ma'am you're at Braums". My 10 year old was humiliated!
Just now (after reading this thread) I decided I wanted some hot chocolate (its finally "cold" here!) so I got a K cup out of my desk drawer and then walked to the break room to make it. Except I left the K cup on my desk

All the love for Braums!!!! We so so miss their delicious ice cream now that we don't live anywhere near one!

Braums is so good. They built a new one in our town and it is 3/4 of a mile from our garage to the drive through. This is dangerous for a pregnant woman. I am usually a blue bell girl, my brother is a regional manager in Florida, but I don't want to take a chance with it while I'm pregnant.

I teach Special Education and my life revolves around IEPs (Individual Education Plan). I was in the SPED office the other day talking to my boss about a student and as we were talking I went to go say their IEP states.... Instead I blanked on the phrase IEP, stood there with a blank look... Finally went you know that document that we write.... The one with the goals...MY boss immediately laughed at me and handed me chocolate... Yep...
So far I've forgotten my work keys 4 times. It's very embarrassing having to go all the way back home and get them. Now my boss has gotten extra in case I forget again
@JonesBaby0624 Oh we're about 1600 miles from one now, so sad. We moved from Texas to Washington State so nothing even remotely close. Their ice cream is delicious, and SO cheap! I can't get back on board with Bluebell either! Makes me nervous. I know you've mentioned your moving to the east coast soon, so soak up your Braums while you can!

Haha I can totally see that happening. I was still teaching when I was pregnant with DD1 and I'd actually have to pull my lesson plan out in the middle of the lesson because I just would completely space out! You know, those "lesson plans" that no one actually uses but are required... yea I needed them lol.

Yes, I will be moving to Rhode Island in August. My fiance was here a month ago and he tried the Pecan Pie ice cream. When he left he said "you ruined me, how am I just supposed to go back up there with there nasty food". Sorry for the Northeasterners on the board. We were both born and raised in the south and love our southern cooking.
I'm losing everything! I've lost my phone, my drivers license, my credit card, and worst of all, my engagement and wedding rings. Never had I lost any of those things except for a credit card. Fortunately I figured out quickly where I left my phone and credit card (different places) and people were honest so I was able to get them back. My rings were also insured so they were replaced easily but not found. I hate how absent minded I've become though.

It really does ruin it for ice cream! Before we moved to Washington we lived in North Carolina and Texas, so I miss ALL the southern food!! And home is Arizona so I miss my authentic Mexican food! Washington I'm sure has some awesome seafood, but I'm allergic to most of it so I can't even enjoy it. Ugh, pregnancy cravings don't help when what you want is thousands of miles away!

@h&pmomma I'm sorry! I am sure it is hard! You let me know what southern food you want I will eat it for you. You can live vicariously through me. I will make that sacrifice (haha) but I promise I won't enjoy it at all. I can eat some biscuits and gravy for you!

@vrj0522 UGH! I would've lost my mind! Good thing those rings were insured but still...

OMG! Any one of those things I would have cried so hard I threw up. I do not handle losing valuables well. I'm so sorry your rings were not found!
@clebl24 Hahaha! What? Like, just pulled straight to the window to pay?
There was a long line and somehow I made it past the speaker box where you order and kept going. I realized that the car behind me was ordering and I was like, oh damn, I didn't order. Luckily I was able to get out of line and go inside.
@mrsrep123 and @Louise_Belcher - Thanks! It made me so sad to lose my rings but at least we didn't lose money in replacing them. My credit card was the last thing I lost and by then I definitely ugly cried.

@vrj0522 literally LOL'd to "ugly cried" btw, I can not wait until Homeland resumes in January.
Last night, my husband had a work event so I was picking up DS from daycare and heading home alone (we usually meet at daycare and co-commute home). I was a few blocks from daycare and saw a man who looked kind of like my husband walking on the sidewalk (same path he normally takes from the bus to meet me at daycare). I flashed my lights annoyingly at him and pulled over next to him, only to realize that CLEARLY wasn't my husband. The man looked at me like I was crazy. I apologized, but WTF is wrong with me? Pregnancy brain, that's what.
The other day I was sitting down to peel potatoes for dinner. I gathered all my supplies, sat down....and realized I'd grabbed the can opener by mistake. Duh
Put my phone in the fridge instead of the milk. I couldn't figure out why the milk was sitting on the counter 30 minutes after breakfast until I put it away any saw my phone on the shelf
I was doing some cleaning this morning and spent a good solid minute trying to wipe something green off of the kitchen faucet before I realized it was the reflection of the green tshirt I was wearing..... doh!
Twice in the past two weeks I have loaded up the baby and driven to my destination, only to realize my billfold was AT HOME. Last week it was my favorite chinese restaurant (25 mins away) and today it was Target.
Yesterday, I told my good friend "happy birthday Lovie". I meant to tell her happy thanksgiving obviously. I didn't catch it, she did. And the worst part is I had to stop and think to myself, don't say Merry Christmas.
I was making a turkey pot pie for dinner with our leftover turkey. I got it all put together and in the oven before I realized I forgot to put in the turkey.

I made 2 for lunch yesterday, they had been in for 10 minutes before I realized I forgot to vent them... whoops... I also blanked out on how to make pie pastry I've been making the same for years and couldn't even remember which book my recipe was in, sigh...
I left work at 9am to get my 10 year old to take him to school, he rides his bike to school after I leave, it was 30 degrees and he is sick. Anyway, I drove from my school to his school, without going home to get him. When I pulled up to the school I was like "why am I here? I was going to Ross". Halfway to Ross I realized why I left school in the first place. Dear Lord, I don't know how I manage to get myself dressed anymore!
Just got nervous because my wedding ring already started to feel awkward and tight this morning and my last pregnancy I had no change at all in my hands or feet and when I looked down to investigate I realized I had put it on the wrong hand...
