Note- out of respect to others, please keep this thread politics-free. If you wish to post something political, please head over to yesterday's UO thread, or start your own politics only thread!
Mine- well, I'm a horrible person. There are a bunch of forest fires in my area (not super close to my home, but in my city.). I am concerned about the people living closer to the fires, the firefighters, etc. But really, I'm also super annoyed that I can't go running because of the low air quality due to smoke.
Last night was my only night off with my son this week. So, we ate pizza, watched an inappropriate movie (for his age), and ate cookie dough out of the tube. IDGAF if I was judged. We turned our phone on DND and had a great time together!
I guess my FFFC is that this thread might be pretty lame without the politics this week. Are people really unable to eye roll and scroll? This is probably a lot like the issue last week. Unless someone is actually being bullied, if you don't like drama, then scroll past it. Totally fine with a thread dedicated to politics, but FFFC and UOs are always either hot beds of fun or dumpster fires. It seems like politics fit right in there.

Honestly, I do agree with you, just out of respect for the many people on the UO thread's requests yesterday, I figured I'd post it like this. Plus, that way the whole conversation is in one place, and therefore easier to follow.
I think it's dumb when people run with their hair down. Do you think you look majestic with your mane blowing in the breeze? You don't. You look too challenged to use a pony tail holder.
Disclaimer: This is not a confession of working moms being better/ worse then stay at home moms. It is more of the terminology that is used.
I take offense to the job title "full time mommy". I have nothing against SAHM, homemaker, domestic goddess, or whatever you see fit. However, working moms are not "part time moms". Being a working mom is much harder then I had ever thought it would be and doesn't make me less of a mom because I work. I do have complete respect for SAHM and I am hopeful that with baby # 3 I can find something a little less demanding but they are still my number one priority regardless of the amount of time I spend away from them.
I have never once clicked on one of the exercise/fitness or diet/nutrition threads on this board. I know it's important (I am a public health researcher! ) and I have all the respect and admiration for everyone that stays on top of this. And I plan to get on board one day. But so far, I just...can't...bring myself to click.
@emilyalso Agreed. As a former (non-tumbling, not athletic) cheerleader, I also don't get how those kids leave their hair down. Or the sweaty go-go dancers in Vegas. Am I the only person who sweats when I do any sort of physical activity?
@L1C4gal I clicked on that thread by accident for the first time yesterday. When I realized that some of those women are doing full on, non-prenatal workouts, I was amazed! Keep up the good work, girls! I'm going to go back to eating all the food.
I have no problem having a glass of wine every day or two past the first trimester. It's not a calculated risk, imo. It's not a risk at all. I get incredibly irritated at people who don't think for themselves and take the time to do research. I don't mind if other moms don't drink. But I don't want to be given the side eye when I do. I have two OB s who are friends who had the same attitude but can't tell their patients the complete lack of risk. I'm very happy my OB for the first two babies was honest with me and told me a regular sized glass of wine with dinner is fine. The biggest issue is that they can't ethically study moms and alcohol. However they can point to countries that don't have our tight restrictions and show its a non issue. Also our tight restrictions come from one 40 year old study that was severely flawed as most participants also were cocaine users.
This is pretty embarrassing but we've been having our plumbing redone and my husband needs to fix our toilet tonight... So I had to pee in the tub today {trying to add embarrassed emoji but the Bump is ridiculous}. A good cleaning did follow... But a pregnant lady's gotta go!

@emilyalso - Hahaha...I could not agree more. Along the same lines, I seriously judge women who show up to road races with a face full of makeup. It's 6:30 AM and you're about to run a marathon, but you had to apply the perfect cat eye first? Meanwhile, I'm slathering on Body Glide and picking the sleepies out of my eyes. Either way, in a few hours, we'll both smell awful.

@kayemjay2 it's probably for pre-run selfies. Everyone has to document everything these days.
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot you are not the only one who sweats with physical activity. I sweat a ridiculous amount. I get it from my daddy and I look nasty, like people avoid me, at the gym. IDGAF I just figure I'm there to exercise and get sweaty not look pretty.
@Jkp7749 - people shave more than once a week? Now y'all are gonna tell me that people wash their hair regularly, too!!!
My FFFC is that I totally lied to my parents today. It's my 9/80 Friday. They work half days every Friday. My mom called to see if I had plans already because they were thinking about coming to visit (we live about an hour apart). I told her I had a lot going on and couldn't change my plans. Instead I'm sitting on the couch binge watching Gilmore Girls in anticipation of the new episodes after Thanksgiving!

FFFC- I really enjoy the taste of baking soda toothpaste, to the point where I use to eat it and I had to ressit the urge to squeeze the tube into my mouth when I brushed my teeth before bed last night. Also, I shave every time I shower. I've been doing it for years so now if I don't I feel weird and like I didn't bathe all of the way.

This x1000. I've read the same studies and came to the same conclusion--unless you are drinking heavily, there is no research that I don't care what others choose to do in their pregnancy. But it drives me crazy when people don't do the research on their own. About pregnancy related things and really all things in life.
And my FFFC...my SIL is 31 weeks pregnant with twins and went into pre-term labor last Friday. She is now home on strict bed rest and my MIL is in Arizona helping her out. Secretly, I'm hoping that she can't find someone else to come help her over Thanksgiving because MIL is supposed to come out to visit us in Massachusetts but I really don't want her to and would rather just spend the holiday with my DH and DS.
I am praying so hard that my friend (the mom of my daughter's bff), who's due in April, is also having a boy so that my kids will have sibling bffs. I'm still getting used to my daughter never having a sister, so this will be a silver lining.
@L1C4gal I haven't once clicked in a fitness thread, either.
My FFFC... I spent my entire morning talking to my closest work friend, who I just told I'm pregnant. Then I did about 15 minutes of work before leaving early for the day.
With DD, we were Team Green. It was awesome and I have no regrets. I really enjoy delayed gratification. This time around, I agreed that we can find out as DH wanted. I had thought about doing a genital reveal (FFFC?) and I told DH that I definitely didn't want to find out unceremoniously in an U/S, which he would have been fine with. At our NT scan this week, the tech asked if we were going to find out the sex. Before DH could say anything I blurted out, "Yes. Can you tell this early?" and she totally gave me her thoughts. I guess my FFFC is that second kid's entire life might be unceremonious as compared to DD's thus far. Second kid problems.
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot that was my fear, too, and my life's work has been focused around my second kid not getting the shaft, lol. So what are you having!!?
With #3, my doctor called me with the panorama results this week and asked if I wanted to know the sex. My DH wasn't even in the same room, how's that for unceremonious!?
@tenfour She thought boy. Little guy flashed us the goods every time she tried to take a measurement of something else. I'm pretending we don't know yet so that I'm not planning for a boy and get a girl. I'll be happy with either, of course. I just need to temper my planning tendencies.

Similar story with me! DH was out of town and I was at the doctor for a routine visit--she mentioned the Panorama was back and asked if I wanted to know the sex or if I wanted her to put it in an envelope for me to take home to the DH. I said..."uh...that envelope won't make it past the car, just tell me now". Haha...and then I called DH and told him. Second children...

Uh, the exact thing happened to me last week and this is my first child! Hubby was camping and had his phone off and I had to tell him later in the day. I knew I would outsmart an envelope though so just went with it!
I wear leggings as pants on the reg. They're thick leggings and I wear a long shirt, but sometimes the shirts don't cover my whole butt. #sorrynotsorry
I told DH he had to scrub the shower because I can't use bleach when I'm pregnant. I have no idea if that's true, and I'm not going to ask my doctor to confirm.

My DH wanted to check the Panorama results together to find out the sex but I couldn't wait and logged in at work to find out. I did act surprised when we checked together when I got home.
A day late but my FFFC is that I've listened to the baby's heartbeat twice...and DH wasn't home either time. In my defense he knows about both times and doesn't seem upset but I feel slightly selfish

Doesn't seem like dh will hear the heart beat this time around because I don't see him ever coming to appointments. 3rd kid problems I guess. I feel like Megan King Edmonds, whose husband wasn't even there for the conception, for any real housewife fans here. I'm not complaining because someone's gotta be watching the kids.
