I will be honest and admit I have much less patience for my dogs since the baby came along, but watching my son with them does warm my cold heart a teeny, tiny bit.
Look how cute everyone's fur babies are! Today marks one year of having Phoebe in our family. We love her! She's adopted but after a lot of research we are fairly sure she is a lab/basenji mix.
This is Vida- she's just a couple of months old ETA we adopted her, she's a parvo surviver (poor baby!) We think she's beagle/spaniel/lab mix based on what we know of the mom and her siblings. She's a sweetie!
So happy about this! I am loving everyone's pets!! My hormones seem to have made me even softer towards animals than ever.
My Durbin. I've had him about 4 years and we think he was 1.5-2 when I rescued him. But he's forever a puppy. And such a good snuggler!
The top picture is what he likes to do when I'm doing homework and not paying proper attention to him... stacks a bunch of toys on the ottoman in front of me. He's got two up there now!
This is Captain! He's 4 years old and my first baby!! He was my birthday present, we rescued him, we believe he's a lab/collie mix. He will do anything for a tennis ball
This is Dozer, we adopted him last December, he turned 1 in July. He was 17 pounds when we adopted him and they found him wandering around Tennessee before we got him. He had a parasite as well. Apparently he doesn't want me doing laundry anymore as he will lay in the basket when I try to fold it.
I love this this thread and I love how many people have rescued pets. I couldn't have imagined how much I'd love him, and as a soon to be FTM I cannot even fathom loving a baby more.
Here are my fur babies! Charlie (1.5 years old) is on the right and Maddie (almost 6 months) is on the left. They are both very playful and can definitely be a handful! But, we love them so much and cannot imagine our lives without them!
Our original baby Izzy Belle! She's 9 y/o. We adopted her shortly after we got married 6 years ago. I named her after my favorite girl name, Isabelle, when I thought we weren't having kids. It's going to be very hard to find a girl name I like more than that one.
Everyone has such sweet pets! I feel like a turd because I had to go back pretty far to find a photo of them. In order they are Frank, Mimsy, and my nephewcat Stanley (who I swear loves me despite his facial expression! )
(Sorry this is posting so huge) This is our girl Sheba (my profile pic). She's about 14 years old, we've had her for about 7 years, and her age is starting to show... she can't see or hear at all anymore but we'll have those conversations later. She's also a rescue and it warms my heart to see so many here on this board! They're all such sweethearts!
I have a 4 (next week) year old samoyed and an almost 3 year old malamute. They are inseperable. The top pic was an assignment for one of my photography classes. Sorry the pictures are big, they are large files.
Our bearded dragon, Koopa, that DH got in college. No furry friends quite yet since we can't have them in our rental house. (Hopefully this pic isn't gigantic... I haven't posted from mobile before.)
Here's my cat, Quincy, and pibble, Athena (with her best derp face). Sometimes, they actually get along. @ShadeofGreen816 I still think our dogs look similar
@starphish18 they kinda do!! Very similar coloring. Your buddy might have a bit more pit (?maybe?) than mine. So cute. I love that we did this. I'm such a softie for all the pets!!

What a super-duper idea! I'm a little nervous because this will be our first baby and we have two dogs and two cats, all rescue. I'm prepared for a whole lot if work ahead...
Uno is the adorably gruesome chihuahua. He was abused before we rescued him, so he is blind in one eye and has a permanently broken jaw. But he is in no pain now! Endless snuggles and love. Champagne is the funny looking Franken-dog. He's part Chinese Shar-Pei and other breeds we don't know. Mayakovsky is the grey tabby & Mia (not pictured) is too shy for photos.
Re: GTKY - Show us your pets!
Cat: Elphie - 9 years
Dog: Derby - 2.5 years
Phineas & Finnick. They are both around 4. Phineas is normally super hairy, we had him shaved for the summer right after I took this picture.

My little girl finally got a haircut this last weekend! Her name is Violet.
Our kitties Kvothe and Dexter.
I know I've posted them before when we had a similar post but I love them so much I thought I'd share them with y'all again.

Sadie and Bo(Sox). They're our fur babies so obviously they had to announce their little sister or brothers pending arrival.
