What car seat did you all register for/buy? I was going to get a hand-me-down, but now my MIL is going to keep that one and buy us a new one. I'd like to have a convertible style (at least allowing rear and front facing if not all the way up to booster seat) and one that I can get an extra base with.

@dragonfaerie I bought two Graco SnugRide 35 elites and plan to buy/register a Maxi Cosi infant car seat. I had originally thought we'd do a straight convertible one and skip an infant one, but that isn't a possibility now. I was planning to get the Graco 4ever one since it does 4 or 5 pounds to over 50.

@AandDM2014 - I am so glad you asked this I am guessing I am having the same issue. My hips keep feeling like they pop out of place. I woke up this morning and stepped out of bed then my left hip gave out. It finally felt like it popped back in place after stretching and trying to walk for 10 minutes but it hasn't stopped hurting this morning. I am almost 11 weeks with twins, doesn't it seem early to have this issue?

@kelrauh Ugh, hips! Did walking seem to help? I feel more like I hobble than walk when it's hurting, but I did a bit of walking yesterday and I didn't notice any pain. I feel like it's all up in the air with multiples as to when pregnancy things are going to happen. I've also heard that most ladies get more energy during the second tri and right now I could easily sleep 12 hours a day, every day.

@dragonfaerie my local store does trainings on infant car seats and it seems like the safest is the nuna pipa. For convertible im going with the graco forever one. My sister has it and likes it but I hear great things on britax convertible ones as well.
@AandDM2014- it was definitely a hobble. I don't think the walking helped, I think it put me in more danger of falling than anything haha. I don't know what finally got it back in. I was laying down lifting my leg and stretching every way possible, then my husband massaged and pushed my hip which seemed to help get it back in place. I am not to 2nd tri yet, but my symptoms seem to be getting worse not better. I have been sleeping 11 hours a night, if I don't I am so sick and tired the next day I cant function (all new in the past 2 weeks). I am just hoping that in 2nd tri my crazy gag reflux and food aversions start going away.

@kelrauh Well bummer that walking didn't help! And I'm sorry your symptoms seem to be getting worse. I think most of my bad ones went away by about 12 weeks, though my worst one was just all day nausea, which isn't too bad. Hopefully soon you'll be able to eat like a normal person, though it probably won't last long before you get super full easily and stay that way for hours. Ugh!

@dragonfaerie For my DS we registered for a Chicco KeyFit and a bunch of bases. Well, we had it for like a few weeks and it was a disaster. DS was born at 4 lbs and had horrible reflux. The positioning of the seat incline was way too low and and he would scream/reflux the entire time he was in it. It was a nightmare. Our gastro doctor had us switch to a convertible that started at a 5 lb limit and it was a miracle. He has been in the same Graco convertible since then and he is now 2.5 years old.
For this baby, I'm not even bothering with an infant seat and just going right to a convertible. Even with the infant seat it was so heavy and clunky that I never even took DS out of the car in it, I preferred to just baby wear him anyways in stores etc. and plus also he was screaming incessantly in it, so nobody would want to be around us!
Thanks everyone for your input! We'll be going back to BBB and hopefully talking to a specialist

@dragonfaerie we went to bbb to chat with them about seats. They sold us on the Britax. They are expensive, but really seemed to have the best safety features. Someone has purchased our infant seat for us, if we purchase the convertible on our own we will probably wait and go with a cheaper one, if possible w equal safety ratings, closer to when it's time to transition.
