I'm in the same boat. Unmotivated and everything tastes bland. I bought yummy cheddar broccoli soup for dinner, with a side of multi-grain crackers... only to be disappointed. Hopefully we find our food mojo again soon! <FX>
Marinated chicken thighs, baked potatoes and some kind of vegetable. We buy the 30 min marinades in the sauce aisle and put the chicken in to marinate all day. Then we bake or grill it. It's pretty easy.
@SKZW - Your post just reminded me that I have a container of potato soup in the back of my fridge and I just checked it and it's good til December so that might be what's for dinner tonight. I'll probably make BLTs or grilled cheese & ham sandwiches to go with it.

@SKZW, I am so glad that I'm not alone in the bland food boat! A lady at work commented on my use of salt, but I really just can't taste the flavor in anything!
And what's for dinner in my house? I had a sandwich, but I was kind enough to thaw chicken for my husband . Poor guy.
Yesterday's dinner was amazing- smitten kitchen's grilled Swiss cheese sandwich with sweet and sour onions, and maple glazed carrots! Yum!! It was probably the first dinner that we've had since I got pregnant that I was super happy with! Today with my sick kiddos, we had toast.
I got a free week of (3) meals for plated and just made the first meal. Its baked gnocchi with shredded brussel sprout mixed in the sauce. Its the first time I've had gnocchi actually and I approve!
@pshaortao : I've looked into plated, blue apron, hello fresh, etc., at various times in the past and always ended up on the fence... but now being pregnant/unmotivated/low energy... keep us posted, will you? I'd love to get a positive nudge back in the direction of trying it out. Good luck and have fun!

Ive done blue apron once and felt like it a bit too complicated and took me a long time to do most meals.
I've done hello fresh for a total of 3 weeks. Two of them were done a month ago in spite of the fatigue but I was such in a rut with meals so it was a nice way to change things up! Their meals are a bit more simple and they have always turned out yummy, however more on the mild side of flavors. I still start the prep sooner than the recipe say. Actually I think I have a code for a free box if you'd like to try them. Just PM me for the code
I'll report back on Plated once I get to do the other 2 meals!
We had Cajun Chicken Alfredo with Andoullie sausage. Usually I love it...tonight, I pretty much just choked it down. Yesterday, I did crockpot french dip sandwiches and those hit the spot much better.
That sounds amazing right now...I'm in the same boat, unmotivated and bored with food. If it weren't for not wanting to go into a casino, I'd go to my favorite dinertia for pot roast...Hopefully I can convince DH to make something good.
pshaortao , I had the same experience with Blue Apron. I felt like all of the recipes were just a tad too complicated and took longer than I like on a post-work weeknight.
@SKZW - We did Blue Apron for a long time, but I just cancelled it yesterday after opting out of the last few weeks' deliveries. I agree with @pshaortao, they are complicated and time consuming. Normally, we don't mind, as we like cooking and the recipes are delicious...but these days, I lack motivation. I also am way pickier about what food sounds good.

I loved Blue Apron, but it was too expensive to do it every week. I just liked someone giving me a recipe and not having to go to the grocery. Hello Fresh was good, but the portions were too small for DH. I normally love to cook, but I've been so exhausted that I don't feel like doing anything and nothing appeals to me anyway. DH tries to pick up the slack but his kitchen skills are lacking and he knows how to cook like two things.
I agree with all PP's who said blue apron is waaay to complicated. With both DH and I working to prepare food it still took longer than most other meals I prepare on my own. It did have the added bonus of giving us a little variety. I haven't tried plated or hello fresh but if you all say they're easier I might give it a try.
We used Hello Fresh for a couple of months. I agree with PP that the portions were somewhat small, and I found that the recipes took a lot longer than advertised--although this is always the case with us (we're slow!) and it sounds like Blue Apron's recipes are a lot more complicated. We also found that it was quite a bit more expensive than our usual meals, which are pretty simple and cheap. But now that I am thinking back on it and now that I hate everything I've ever eaten/cooked (EVER), I almost want to give Hello Fresh another try for some variety...
So this has basically been a conflicting review with pros and cons for those who are interested!
We gave Blue Apron a shot a couple of weeks ago but it just wasn't a good fit. We skipped the first 3 or 4 weeks because nothing in their menu was that appealing and DH still didn't love most of the meals we got. Plus I was expecting to do less and I pretty much had to make the whole meal. Too expensive just to be getting ingredients and a recipe.

I'mm miserable in regards to food, I completely agree with no motivation. NOTHING sounds good. My poor husband is going to starve to death soon, our fridge was so bare (from me not even being able to buy food) that he cleaned out the whole thing and informed me I'm no longer allowed to shop alone haha.
Tonight we are going to attempt stuffed peppers. They are my favorite I hope I can eat them.

@vrj0522 mmmmmmmm... grilled cheese sandwich! (Picture Homer Simpson's mouth watering... that's me right now)
You ladies always succeed in making me hungry. I've really been craving some tacos lately, so that sounds like the plan. I'll make myself some rice and beans, too. That way I'll have food for lunch tomorrow as well!
Another +1 for marinated chicken tonight. We get the honey teriyaki, it is yummy! Side of mac-n-cheese and some veggies, and we will be good to go. I planned on making creamed potatoes and weenies this week, but the potatoes started sprouting their little things. (That means they are bad right?) I've actually never cut one open to look at it, but those little sprout things always freak me out...
Taco soup tonight for us. It's so easy and so yummy. DH prefers to call it chili instead. It has the following ingredients: ground beef (cooked before mixing), dark red kidney beans, corn, canned diced tomato, tomato paste, salsa, taco seasoning, and spices. I think that's it! And I love it with shredded sharp cheddar cheese sprinkled on top.
@slam1110 I actually cook the potatoes that have sprouted a little all the time! I had a roommate that would freak out about it, but they are totally fine! I wouldn't bake them, but to make mashed potatoes or something, they are fine! Just cut out the little tiny sprouts (if you're peeling, they'll come off while you peel.) If the potato feels softer than it should, then it is too far gone! (It wouldn't be like grossly mushy or anything, unless you've left it for a VERY long time! it would just be like an almost ripe avocado, or something like that.)
