Hi everyone,
I'm new to the bump but very excited to join discussions. Got our BFP on 9th Oct and estimate DD June 15th which puts me at 6w5d. My husband (32) and I(32) have been trying for 2 month for our 1st baby and we are very surprised/excited by our news. We live in England and have to wait until Nov 9th for our first appointment. 

Anyone else as nervous as me?

Congratulations and welcome!!  Pregnancy nerves are so common, I was a wreck with my first and not much better this time around.  Sending you sticky baby vibes!

Definitely doesn't matter what # pregnancy it is - nerves come with the territory! Just try to keep reminding yourself that the odds are in your favor that all will be perfectly well!

@kellatron I'm a first time mom too!!  Congrats!!!  And yes omg so anxious so nervous so excited!!  My first appointment is Monday and it's taking FOREVER!!!  Haha

Awww, congrats!!! There's nothing like the excitement of getting that first bfp! It's completely normal to feel nervous but try to remember that the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor that everything will go well. Enjoy the journey, mama!

Thanks so much everyone. First midwifenappointment today but probably won't feel reassured until first scan in a few more weeks. This waiting is tough!

This is my first too! I can 100% say I've never been so anxious or nervous in my life, and everyone has assured me that's normal. I had some cramping in the 4th and 5th week, so they did an early u/s at 6 w 2 d. Even seeing the heartbeat and all I'm still anxiously awaiting my next appointment next Tuesday, which will be at 10w 5d. It has been the longest month of my life it feels! Lol! So far, I can say I'm happy to have joined the bump, because of the wealth of knowledge and support I've received so far!
