    Welcome back @reneeannemm !  We have missed you and hope you've been doing well on your bump break.  I hope the testing goes well.  So sorry that you had to get that phone call - crazy how insensitive the midwives' office is. I would've burst into tears, too.  I'm anxiously awaiting the first snowflakes, too, but I think it's going to be awhile.  We've been unseasonably warm, which really kills that autumn mood.

    @NewMommyCoop Fx! It wasn't super hard, promise. Just took about 30 seconds of my attention every day for a month. In the end, I didn't even like it, but my guests were wild for it. Never was a big fan of strong cheese, not sure why I thought a vegan one would change my tastes. I'm going to try blue cheese next. It was exciting that it grew the rind and everything, though!

    @RiverSong15 Hey! Sorry to see you still around these parts. But hello farro! We're really into it right now - use the flakes for baking and just made this toasted farro dish this weekend and it was incredible. We haven't experimented a lot with different grains, as DH had some idiosyncratic anaphylactic reactions to them, but we figured out this year it's specifically oatmeal, rye and barley, so we get to have fun with new stuff now. Risotto (in any form) for life, though. I have three sugar pumpkins sitting waiting for me in the kitchen right now, maybe I'll surprise DH with risotto for dinner, as it's his favourite.

    @SoonToBeMommaHowe @brooklyngirl18 Heyyyyyyyyyy <3

    @laeberge3 Such a warm autumn so far! We've just had a bit of cooler weather the past few days but I see in the forecast it's holding on fairly warm. Certainly not any snow in the near future. When I was a kid, it almost always snowed on Halloween, now it's not even usually on the ground my Christmas. Granted, I live in a different place with a different weather, but I am very Canadian and need white Christmases.

    2.) Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc) - currently in the TWW, 4 dpo. We had really good timing this cycle. Hoping this is it because DH and I will likely both be at different conferences during FW in November.

    3.) Rants/ Raves - I have been very relaxed during this cycle, it has been really nice. DH and I have been taking time each weekend to spend with each other, which is nice since football coaching has been taking much of his time. His team won their first layoff game which surprised me, so the season has been extended by at least one more week. I just keep telling myself it is almost done. :smile:

    4.) GTKY: Tell me about your favorite fall activities? Crafting, cooking, baking, traveling, etc.
    I love baking. I haven't gotten around to much of it lately, but am hoping to have some time this weekend. And pumpkin risotto sounds so good I may have to do that as well.

    @stephann85 FX for you this cycle!

    @NewMommyCoop Yes, I love that cookbook and the Skinnytaste website. She makes a lot of yummy comfort foods more healthy, so I can enjoy them with less guilt.  :) It was a great day for me when I realized I could substitute pumpkin for butternut squash in recipes.

    @reneeannemm Mmmm... You're making me hungry! Lol. I'm glad you figured out your H's reactions and found some grains you can still enjoy. Is there a particular pumpkin risotto recipe you like? I want to make it now  :)

    @Aera11 Sorry to see you here still, but hello!

    @RiverSong15 Nothing in particular - I roast the pumpkin first in cubes with sage, cinnamon and smoked paprika and then make my standard risotto with it.

    @TScalei So sorry to see you back, but thank goodness you got results back  you can act on. I'm actually waiting for a technical issue to be resolved right now and will be able to see my CD 3 results as soon as I can get into my account.

    I'm trying to be positive that this will be the month, but also preparing if it isn't. After learning from you ladies I've decided to try OPKs next month if we are still trying. I found lots of wondfo result on amazon and mixed reviews about the authenticity. Since you ladies have experience, I would like to ask if someone post the link to the seller they have used with success or post the sellers name. Or maybe this is something for a PM....not sure of the rules and such. Thanks in advance!

    @flipflopped I think the Newbie Guide or welcome post on the TTGP board has a list of legit sellers. There have been some fakes on Amazon. I think you want to make sure it's sold by Wondfo.

    Wow! I missed one day and lots to catch up on.

    1.Not new but will re-intro: Had the best surprise the first week of January with a surprise BFP after two failed medicated cycles. MMC at 10 weeks in February.  TWW 2 or 4 DPO.

    2. Rant, I feel like life is kicking my ass lately in all areas. I used to regularly workout and I can't seem to keep with a schedule. This is important since working out keeps me balanced and in a good mood. I've been in such a funk the last couple of days and just in a rough TTCAL place. DH and I had to have a talk this weekend as now that we are off medicated cycles he didn't want me to do OPKs or track but I reminded him that time was against us. I don't have that luxury at 38. He understood and agreed I should do whatever I need to do, but asked that I not tell him that I have a positive OPK, because he feels it's too much pressure. I get where he's coming from- it's been such a stressful year dominated by grief, and disappointment. He believes if it's meant to happen it will. I guess I'm just not there. Anyway- typing this has already made me feel better! I am seeing a therapist next week, so I am hoping that will be helpful.

    3. Rave. Fall weather is here in my area so yay for sweaters, boots and warm drinks.

    4. GTKY. I always host Thanksgiving and I love looking up new recipes. I want to bake for this year, but admittedly, I suck at baking! We're also into sports so love watching football, and getting the hockey season started,

    @reneeannemm- you're back!!! You've been missed and it's good to see you. GL with all your tests.

    @MooFish2364- it's nice to have you back as well and GL with all your testing as well.

    @RiverSong15- I'm so gad you have so much support. It's really key and so helpful through this process.

    @brooklyngirl18 I hear you- sometimes trying to figure out what's going on with our bodies is rough. Wouldn't it be great if it was as easy as having sex on CD 14?? Do you temp? I may go back to it next cycle to get a better idea about my cycles
    @tscalei I find the cheapies work so much better

    @SoonToBeMommaHowe pumpkin chocolate chip cookies sound amazing! Too bad I am baking challenged.

    @ladipale That's awesome you go to OTF.  I'm trying to get back on my OTF schedule. I go to the one in Willow Glen and it tends to get packed pretty quickly so I need to plan ahead which is not my strong suit. Also- Go Sharks!

    @roxigibbons - Im sorry you have been in a funk lately - I think it just happens during this process. This quarter's schedule is just kicking my butt so on Sunday I decided that I just had to get up and go.... which this quarter means 5am. I also go to barre3 in WG and was there at 6am today.

    I got awesome news today that VW has to buy back my car!! I bought one of the liar diesel cars back in 2011. Bring on the car shopping!

    @justsuzie A cold shouldn't effect egg quality. It may affect your ability to track your cycle though. A lot of cold medicines thin out or dry up mucus, which affects CM as well as sinus congestion. Also, if you're temping, colds can cause you to breathe out of your mouth at night and can affect your temps (make them seem lower than they actually are).

    Sorry about CD1 @E2theB

    @E2theB Sorry about AF. :disappointed:

    Had blood drawn today to retest my TSH and prolactin levels. I'm hoping they come back normal or I'll be referred to a RE.  Meanwhile, I didn't bench us this month but I'm wondering if I should because of the thyroid issue. The one benefit that is I should have those test numbers by tomorrow which is still in advance of the start of my suspected FW.  At the very least, looking forward to chatting with my doc next week at my annual.  I am weirdly comforted by being at the OBGYN's office, despite the terrible memories it holds for me.

    Hope everyone's Wednesdays have gone well.
