I want nothing to do with any form of intamcy from my husband. It's killing him. I say give me a break, I'm newly pregnant, and he takes it as a 9 month break. Anyone else feeling this way?
@kassyfry I'm with you on the whole not wanting sex right now thing. I feel incredibly not sexy. I'm bloated, gassy, tired all the time, nauseated and my face is broken out like a teenager. My cervix is irritated from progesterone suppositories and as anyone who has used progesterone suppositories knows: they're messy. So not sexy AT ALL.
I told my husband that I didn't really want to have sex and that I may not want to till I get to discontinue progesterone at 12 weeks. He wasn't thrilled but said he understood.

@Elyse1384 I just had a dentist appointment on Monday... they only do imaging once a year and I was so annoyed that I might go 2 years without any imaging and am worried that my dental health will decline if I have anything small right now that the dentist couldn't see during my exam... with my twins my oral health was terrible, for whatever reason - nothing really changed in my routine, so depressing!
I wouldn't stress too much, they told me that if I have any issues or need dental work beyond a cleaning/exam that they would do it during 2nd tri or after birth depending on severity... but I'm sure there are certain situations where dental work is warranted regardless. Oral health is so important during pregnancy (I just got the full speech, can you tell?) I'm sure 2 cavities/fillings won't be harmful... think of all the women that don't know yet and go about going to the dentist... I would've been one of them if I weren't a POAS addict.
@michaela0704, the latest coming from the professional dentistry bodies is that imaging is overused, that the risk doesn't usually outweigh a benefit and that a good dentist should be able to find trouble spots.
Anyone else with round ligament pain this early? I've noticed it the last the days after standing up too quickly. Perhaps it starts sooner with subsequent pregnancies? I don't remember having it this early!
Yep! Me! I asked my doc too and he said what I'm experiencing is that and you often feel it earlier in subsequent pregnancies
Symptom question... my m/s or nausea tends to get worse when I start having what seems to be hot flashes and chills... not sure if one is causing the other but I go from having goose bumps to feeling like I'm on fire.
It's been going on for days now and I don't know if I just didn't remember this from last time or if this is unique...
I had this a few times with DS2 usually accompanied by feeling faint/BP dropping.

I ended up in the ER today because I thought I was bleeding vaginally turns out I already have hemrods!!! He said my blood work looked great so that's a pluse never had hemrods before so it was very scary thinking so much blood was coming out! What a staturday!

New pregnancy symptom, Shortness of breath. i keep having to take big deep breaths. i sound like the beginning of anxiety attacks [that i used to have] & it's just not conducive for working. i don't remember getting it so early with my previous,.. so venting here a bit while i'm outside getting some fresh air
@JaneShops I am in the same boat. I was completely winded yesterday while doing a physical science experiment with my kids. Like you, I don't quite remember this happening so early.
@JaneShops Well I will take that answer! I had to be put on progesterone, and if being winded means it's working, then I am happy to be taking all of the deep breaths.

Is anyone else having any lower back pain? Its minor but freaks me out a little because it reminds me of getting my period. It just started today (5w+2) along with extreme bouts of tiredness and a little more cramping than the last few days. I'm normally a pretty chill gal but man it's a long wait to get to that US appt.... tick tock tick tock

I'm having it right now on the right. I feel it in the back and front. I'm 7 weeks. Did not have this until much later first time around. Almost limping from the pain. Not sharp just annoying and nagging.

I don't have my first appointment until Monday 10/31, but according to the betabase, I'm on track for twins :-O So far, I have had a 17 hour double and a 26 hour double (see my siggy). just curious if this is normal for a singleton or if I need to prepare myself for this news?! :-)

@BabyBuckWay Having a thread "pinned" is when it is posted to the top of the forum as an "announcement". Pinning the important threads keep them from getting lost in the chatter and ending up on the second page. I think it's possible that you may be having twins, especially since you had IUI with gonal-F and ovidrel, but you really can't tell from your beta numbers because the "normal range" for singletons and twins overlap so much at first and they are both so broad. Unfortunately, you'll probably have to wait a few weeks until your first ultrasound to find out.

I am in the process of getting approved for Medicaid, but this is not a quick process and I expect I probably won't have any coverage until December. I have a doctors appointment 11/3 for bloodwork and primary visit that is going to cost me about $1400 out of pocket. Followed by an ultrasound a few weeks later that will be more cash.
I also have the option of going to a pregnancy center on 11/15 at almost 10 weeks and they will do a pregnancy test and ultrasound for free. I'm thinking about doing that and then switching over to an OB office once my insurance is in place. Do you think cancelling the 8 week blood work is a huge mistake? Or will I be okay getting it done after I get my insurance around 12 weeks?

@LMMama The tests at my initial blood draw included a CBC, blood typing, various STDs, and rubella titres. These are all good info to have so the provider can assess certain pregnancy risks. Have you had labs drawn recently, like had a physical in the past year? For me, I've had all of these done in previous pregnancy/ at a physical relatively recently so I'd be completely comfortable waiting if I had a payment issue. Do you have anything to lose by calling the doc where your appointment is currently scheduled and outline your situation for them to see what they have to say? They may say it's perfectly fine to wait.
@lmmama I think you're fine to skip the 8w bloodwork. I'm quite heavily monitored due to IF treatment, but I stopped having bloodwork done after my initial HCG betas in week 4. You should be fine. Any other bloodwork needed your OB would do at future appointments and will discuss with you at your first visit.
@BabyBuckWay I was told I was having twins! I had an U/S last week and they saw 2 sacs. Going in tomorrow for a follow up. Hoping for the best and good luck to you too!
Thanks ladies! I am going to go ahead and cancel the initial appointment for now. I haven't had blood work done in the last year, but I'm positive my OB will do it regardless if I go at 8 weeks or a few weeks later.
