Kruger strict criteria considers 14% morph the cut off for normal. For Kruger strict they actually measure all the parts of the sperm and they all have to fall within a specified range to be normal. It's unclear if this specific measurement is necessary for functionality of the sperm though. WHO guidelines are 4% and are based on the ability to achieve pregnancy, and that number was based on studies from men all over the world who were able to get their partner pregnant in 12 months or less.
I also have read studies that show that there is no difference in success of IUI with morph above vs below 4%. If you have no other problems and count and motility are good I would look into doing IUI because it's a lot cheaper and at lot less invasive.
HELLO! I've missed this over the past couple weeks! We completed our roadtrip from Florida to Washington state and it was absolutely stunning! We stopped at the Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Redwoods, and Crater Lake!
Diagnosis (If you've been): PCOS
Cycle/CD: 14th month, CD14
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) I had my pre-appointment at my new RE in the Seattle/Tacoma area and they were extremely nice! They did a baseline US just to see where I was at. When she started to explain things to me I explained that I've already been through treatment and I just moved so I had to switch doctors. And she said "oh, so you're ready to go! At your appointment with the doctor, you can go over all of that and hopefully we can get things started right away!" ...so that was nice to hear. The next appt is october 25th!
How are things going? I'm still in limbo so they're boring now. I almost cried at the airport seeing so many babies. But overall, things are better since I'm closer to treatment.
Any questions? Nope!
GTKY: If a genie gave you three wishes, but they all had to be superficial nonsense type wishes, what would you wish for? 1) to win the lottery so I can stop working 2) to be able to teleport 3) being able to think of an outfit and then it just be on me so I don't have to shop or spend money or effort!
