Lurker from N16. I was diagnosed with one at 9 weeks. I stopped spotting by 12 weeks and some days. My body absorbed the hemorrhage. I was put on pelvic rest until I hadn't bled for a week straight. Good luck!
Had one when I was pregnant with my son and had a couple of bleeds early in this pregnancy. I would probably ask your ob if you should be concerned. My ob had mine measured at each u/s.

Ok That's what the OB on call at the hospital said too. They will just check me close for a little bit until it clears
They discovered that I had one at 9 weeks on the us. I haven't had any bleeding but I still have the clot. They are going to check on it at my next appointment to see if it has been absorbed or not. I think they are pretty common. They are not great to have but unless your doctor was explicit about it being a concern I wouldn't stress.
Lurking from March17... I had a small one, diagnosed at 7w4d when I had minor brown spotting. It was very small, they said, and they weren't concerned. I was concerned, so I followed the Google advice and took it easy -no sex or exercise for a few weeks. My spotting only lasted about 5 days... And now, 2 months later, all is well with baby. Good luck and take it easy!
I have an SCH that was discovered at my 7 week ultrasound. I started spotting bright red blood shortly thereafter and it continued for about 2 weeks. My doctor was not concerned because the bleed was (is) not near the placenta but, like @minger86, I put myself on restrictions. The SCH was still there at my last ultrasound 3 weeks ago, but it hasn't caused any more problems.
I had one with my first. Had 2 bleeding episodes, but all was okay. Good luck-- drink lots of water and try to take it easy. There's not much they can do at this point. Just try to stay calm and fx you won't have anymore issues

I had what we believe was one with DD. Started at 13w. I bled heavily for nearly 6 weeks. It was terrifying but after bed rest it eventually cleared up. I have a healthy 3.5yo.
I had one with this pregnancy, bright red bleed around 6-7 weeks, (thought I was miscarrying) US showed SCH, baby was doing great. There on I had spotting for like 2-3 weeks atleast, put myself on restrictions, eventually stopped spotting and last US gone. I'm 14 weeks and baby looks good. Hope that helps. I was told common and usually resolve,
You have put my mind at ease. Doc put me on pelvic rest, no extreme exercise and no heavy lifting for awhile. I should be having another u/a this week to check it out!
it is definitely a scary thing to hear. From what I was told it is very common however since so many women don't even see their doctor until almost the second trimester it has usually absorbed by then.
Re: Subchronic Hematoma
doctor said it's common but I looked it up and it says only 1% actually have one.
Just curious how long it took to clear up!
