Betas, anyone?

I haven't seen a discussion about this yet... Anyone willing to share beta numbers? Mine were quite a bit lower than when I had my twins, and even though doc says they are fine, I'm still a bit on edge! CD 29: 146 CD 31: 389 As a side note, I don't know my DPO this month, because wouldn't you know, this is the month we stopped stressing about trying. ;)

Re: Betas, anyone?

  • My betas were 179.3 on 10dpt (equivalent of 15dpo) and 480.3 on 12dpt (equivalent of 17dpo).

@Waiting4Fred Do you know your average cycle length and LP length? That could help you get an idea of how many DPO you were on beta days!

  • Mine were 232 on 13dpo and 4026 on 20dpo. I read that there is a wide range that is considered normal and I think as long as they are doubling its fine.
  • Here's a chart of normal HCG ranges based on LMP. @Waiting4Fred looks like you're good to me! It is a very wide range, and like @rh10264706 said the doubling within 48-72 hrs is more important.

I had 3 beta draws and here were my numbers:
    • 23 at 11DPO
    • 89 at 13DPO
    • 743 at 17DPO
Betabase is great for looking at beta numbers and doubling times from successful pregnancies. I probably spent more time on there than I should have while waiting on all my betas.

ETA: @helloaustin123  My progesterone on 13DPO was 22.6

  • @HookEmNelson, thanks. I've looked at batabase. There are definitely betas lower than mine, but I'm also under the averages. But I'm just not gonna worry until I have something concrete to worry about!

    My betas are as follows:
    14 DPO - 15
    16 DPO - 37
    18 DPO - 112

    M/C #2 - October 2016

  • I'm just going off my CDs within this past month.  I wish I knew my DPOs!
    CD 34 - 74
    CD 36 - 174
    And now I wait.

  • What was your progesterone?

my first draw was 1282 at 5w
progesterone was 8.9 so they put me on a progesterone suppository

we go again Monday to test. I'm 6w1d now
  • I had two draws four days apart.
At approx 12dpo it was 56
At approx 16dpo it was 565.
As all have said, I don't think there is much we can all do aside from try to keep occupied until the first ultrasound. The variation in betas is so large and the doubling time seems to be the most important factor.
Fingers crossed for all of you!!!!
  • I had two draws 48 hours apart.

    4w5d. 1738
    5w0d.  3078

I did them at different labs and my doctor said since they were bigger numbers they don't always exactly double in 48 hours so they were happy with that.
  • @helloaustin123 My progesterone was at 10.3 and I am taking 200mg/day pill - I had a previous miscarriage with super low progesterone and they wanted my numbers bumped up.
  • Beta 1: 11dp5dt (16dpo) 233.9
    Beta 2: 14dp5dt (19dpo) 1,212
