*update* My HCG level is 30,004. That number alone doesn't tell me much. I'll have my second result tomorrow night or Saturday morning. The nurse who called me said that with HCG at that level there might not be much of a change and that Mondays follow up u/s will give us the most info. Fun fact, my blood type is A+ (I've never known what it was, so I was excited for that result too). Thanks for all of your sympathies, support and keeping me in your T & P.
I was told to call my clinic if I hadn't received a call by 10am today. My request/info was just forwarded to the midwife on call, and I am supposed to hear back within 20 mins. As soon as I got off the phone with the call forwarding service (whatever it's called)- my phone reached the portion of updating where the screen is black and I can't use it! Why is this my life and why does this stuff always happen to me? I'm just venting here because I can't even text my SO, friends, or family to complain since I can't use my phone. I really hope she leaves me her number or calls after my phone is done updating. Why did I update it today? Just my luck.
**UPDATE** She did call while my phone was not letting me use it. She left a voicemail saying that my HCG numbers "did drop a little bit, but not enough to tell us anything". I don't know what that means since I couldn't ask her what the number was and she didn't say. In my mind, dropping is not good- especially if I am only 6 + 5 weeks like the ultrasound thinks I am. I'm going to call back and see if I can get the exact numbers, not that it will change anything. I just want all of the information I can get. She also said that the ultrasound on Monday is going to give us the best information.
**UPDATE 2** I called back. My HCG dropped 1,100. From 30,004 to 28,894. She said it is most likely a miscarriage and that the ultrasound will tell us more. She said she has seen drops like that where the pregnancy continues, but that it wasn't common at all. She suggested if it isn't a miscarriage then it could be due to hydration levels or a fluke. Two more days to wait. I'm not feeling hopeful at all because although I don't have any signs of a m/c, I don't really have any pregnancy symptoms either.
I'm so sorry that the news wasn't great. I'll be sending you all the positive thoughts this weekend. I wish you didn't have to wait until Monday and you could just get answers now.
Meh on the HCG drop. I was hoping to hear about an increase instead. I hope your appt is earlier in the day on Monday so you can get some answers 100%. I've been thinking of you and will continue to do so.
@MoshiMoshi7 it is at 1pm. I really hope everything goes well too. This is my first pregnancy, so I don't have anything to compare how I'm feeling/symptoms to (I know they say each pregnancy is dif too though). SO and I are both anxious about what the outcome will be.
I updated at the top, but I will here too, since it is easier for people to find. There was no change on the ultrasound (no heart beat and no extra growth). I haven't had any bleeding yet, but cramping and lower back pain started yesterday. I hope you all have happy/healthy pregnancies.
