  • @pandalily Good luck! The results come back pretty fast. I sent mine out on a Monday and had an email with the sex that Thursday :)

@mrsyimster I have the same damn thing with my right leg. I think it is sciatica in my case though, since I'm the proud owner of about 3 herniated discs. I got a pretty good hot/cold pack from Amazon with a velcro strap, so I can strap it around my waist and let it sit on my back for a bit. Hopefully that will help.

I don't know how to explain it but I think one of the babies is sitting really low. (since she is always close to my cervix on US)

when I try to put a belly support strap on it doesn't feel good at all.. =/

  • 2 weeks til my gender scan! !! It's going by so slow.
@mrsyimster I couldn't do it without coffee.  I can only guarantee being somewhat productive until 3:45 after I get my daughter from school and then it's hit or miss if anything is done.

  • How do I get my toddler to stop kicking and punching me in the gut?! As I get more and more pregnant I'm becoming increasingly scared of her wild flailing.

I think it's a lost cause. I try to get Lula to be loving to the belly but she laughs.

A case where I'm glad I'm tall. The only time I worry about it is when I'm laying with DS, and then I just throw a pillow in front of my stomach. I love him, but he kicks hard.

  • I just scheduled a massage!  Anyone else have a massage during their pregnancy?  I had them prior to conceiving, and loved it!  Great stress relief, but I'm a little nervous about them now...I scheduled a prenatal massage.  Just curious how it may go.  :)

  • @mecoats DH asked me what I wanted for my birthday (which is in 2 weeks) and I told him that I wanted a prenatal massage. I'm really excited about it- my friend had one when she was pregnant and said it was wonderful.
  • @mecoats I had a couple last pregnancy. It was worth it.
  • That's great to hear @mcdonald-bailey!  I can't wait.

@Spartanrd4 - I'll let you know how mine goes :)  Mine is on Wednesday, which is my 17 week mark.

  • @mecoats Prenatal massages are fantastic! My insurance covered it and I just paid a copay. When I was pregnant with my son I also saw a chiropractor since I had hip and pelvis pain and it helped SO much. My pelvis was out of line and the chiropractor helped to correct that. I plan to see one again.
  • I HIGHLY recommend avoiding a color filled cake then @SienaC:p I was so upset at the time but that's going to make a great story for years on end.

  • @hippiemama Yep, insurance may cover massage. I do want to stress though that the massage wasn't at a grand spa or anything. I got it done an office that does chiropractic work, physical therapy, and massage therapy. Check with your insurance company. Most insurance companies should have a website where you can see your benefits and find what specialists are covered. Or you can always just call them. You have to make sure you ask for massage therapy and they'll let you know if it's covered. Some companies might require an order or referral and your doctor can easily get that to you.
  • @EnglishTeacherMama cute and so exciting! ! I love pumpkins! We're doing our reveal with them. I bought them today to paint!

Prob both, though not intentionally to hurt the baby I don't think. She's just rough.
  • Has anyone had their hair colored while pregnant? I know it's supposed to be "safe", but I have been so ultra cautious about everything. My color is SO dull right now. I asked my colorist to do a baylayage that would grow out into a nice natural looking ombre (my hair grows REALLY slowly) before I got pregnant so I wouldn't have to have it done, but it's so mousy right now! Just curious what others have done. Or if you totally avoid for 9 months. I mean.. it's only 5 months left I suppose, ha.

@Ivorytower2 I just constantly have to remind her to be 'gentle with mama'. My DH will tell her as well, and while she forgets every so often, for the most part she has stopped jumping on my stomach.

@mecoats totally worth it! I also got a postnatal massage for all of my swelling after birth, and it worked wonders even though that one hurt like a b*tch. The prenatal was just relaxing :)

@longliveregina teach me your ways. I can't seem to leave there with under $100 worth of stuff in my cart

I have @jenny0228.  Highlights and root touch ups.  I think it's fine but everyone's comfort level is different with things.  I also heard that your hair may act differently during pregnancy with hair color, but so far, mine has been normal.

  • So I posted on the gender thread but we just found out baby #2 is a girl. She's healthy so of course we are happy but I'm still digesting this... We have DS and I just always pictured myself being a mom to boys. I was never a girly girl and I have very few girl friends so I think I'm just scared that if she's not a tomboy I'm going to be a crappy girl mom. Anyone else go through this? Plus of course we had a boy name all set in stone and girls names have been rough! lol

The unknown is the worst BUT try to imagine that your daughter will be like you, there's no saying she will be girly girly either.

I was terrified of the same thing when I got pregnant with my first and found out it was a little girl! always wanted to be a boy mom.  Now girl number two is on the way--and I can't imagine life any differently <3 you'll be just fine! Once she's here you'll love it! (Even if you have to play dress up or host a pretend tea party ;) )
  • Thanks ladies! Definitely makes me feel better.
