@abriannao I have an electronic one my husband ordered for me so I could monitor at home. I bought it off Amazon. I usually check it three-four times in a row to make sure I'm getting an accurate reading. My FIL has heart related issues and uses a similar one of that brand to monitor his, so we picked that one.
I am also thinking of you @dmontgo! I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I hope your doctors and family keep watching over you and am sending you lots of positive thoughts.

@Mamax2 and @Austenista Thanks ladies!!! I just put one in our cart for Amazon so that I can keep an eye on mine. I always have had low BP at the doctors office, but I haven't had swelling while there, so I want to check when I am experience the symptom!
How is everyone taking their blood pressure at home? When my feet swell, I get panicked, but have no idea how to check my blood pressure.
You can get an electronic wrist blood pressure monitor from any pharmacy or even Walmart for anywhere from $20-$50. Quick and easy. If you don't want a wrist one, there are electronic arm ones as well.
I'm late here but...@abriannaO and @Mamax2 - wrist cuffs are not recommended, for anything. Hate to be a naysayer but they're just not accurate. I bought my arm one from Walgreens for $40 I think.
I have a home electric bp cuff. Works pretty well but I take it at least 2ce in a row and average the 2. Just to be sure.
Word... just be sure to leave enough time to let the blood start pumping back through the arm as normal. I've been told 3-5 minutes between readings is best.

Wow! I didn't know this. All of my doctors use them, and the readings have always been pretty on point with my electric arm one that I use at home.
@Mamax2 they're not terrible but NOT recommended for people with continual issues (like myself). For people who want a quick read here or there they are probably fine. I asked about it and my previous OB, internist and cardiologist all recommended against them. Said an upper arm cuff is the most consistently accurate and when you're dealing with as severe as an issue as I was for years post pregnancy - consistent and accurate were important factors. Didn't mean to be an alarmist, they aren't the best option is what I should have said (especially considering the price is roughly the same).
Thank you @DiFazette for expanding on that. I'm always happy to learn something new, especially when it is related to or can effect my health. I have on-going BP issues, so I will continue to use and trust my arm one.
@DiFazette yup I do 4 minutes apart. DH thinks I'm crazy. He does his "for fun" in between mine usually but since he doesn't have problems once is good enough for him.
We also have an upper arm cuff, cost $30 or $40, totally worth it!! I used it with my pre-e last time and am using it again for monitoring/tracking to catch any increases that may occur early on
Thanks everyone for the input! I haven't had any reason to NEED to check my blood pressure outside of my appointments, but I do not have swelling when I am at the doctor, it's always in between appointments. I figured it wouldn't hurt to check my BP when the swelling is actually present.
@AbriannaO Just to make you feel a little bit better, swelling doesn't necessarily mean that you are having blood pressure issues. It is also simply a very common pregnancy symptom. Even pretty severe swelling can mean absolutely nothing. The type of swelling that you should really worry about is the kind that happens suddenly that doesn't really go away. I will say that most blood pressure issues in pregnancies don't come and go, because it's an issue with the placenta, so if you are measuring okay at your appointments regardless of swelling you should be okay. That being said, it wouldn't hurt for you to check your blood pressures in between if it would make you feel better. Just trying to help ease some worry.
Itchy belly still puking and nauseous crazy sore pelvic area (usually I just say, "ugh my vagina hurts" sciatic pain i have these fits of reflux that drive H nuts. Especially mid-sentence and I have to stop just to try and catch my breath and keep something undesireable from coming up. Oh, and I breath like I have emphysema.
I can't think, or more specifically concentrate. I went to the bookstore yesterday and grabbed two books to flip through, I sat there scrolling through my phone over one of them instead. I stared at the word "sweat" this morning for too long trying to remember if it meant sweet or sweat.
My shoulder/neck pain was only temporarily relieved by the chiropractor. I think his resetting it only put it back to the beginning so it can torture me until it shifts back to the mild ache that I was learning to live with. Blah.
My pelvis/vagina hurts too. It's not been as bad the past few days though.
I've been dealing with the blues a bit. Worrying about things that don't matter in the grand scheme of things. Pouting/worrying about having to take thyroid meds again.
I think time slowed down or something since we hit October. This week has been creeping.
Nothing fits or looks right, I loathe getting dressed.
Nothing tastes right. The only things that taste good are desserts/candy and I'm doing my best to not be eating that stuff very much. I feel like I have the palate of a toddler.
I don't feel like doing anything accept obsess over baby related things. Feeding myself/cooking, cleaning, helping DH out all feel like the world's biggest chore. I don't know what my deal is.
- Acid reflux -Hip pain, especially sleeping - I can't make up my mind when it comes to appetite. Once minute I'm starving, the next I'm not hungry. Last night I really wanted pumpkin ice cream from our local place so we go, I walk in, order, and then I suddenly don't really want ice cream anymore. - I'm losing my head. This is the biggest thing I've noticed. I lose my train of thought mid sentence and have been so forgetful about everything. - Breathing is becoming hard.

-Breathing is difficult! I attribute most of it to my allergies.. who needs a working nose anyway? I look/sound ridiculous when I'm trying to eat and can't breathe through my nose
-Not too much trouble sleeping aside from 1-2 nights per week I'll wake around 4am and not go back to sleep for 30-45 min.
-Can't stop talking/thinking about baby things! I feel like I always direct conversations with family toward the pregnancy/baby. Sorry guys!
-Some acid reflux, but manageable if I actually put the cayenne pepper down.
Just wanted to say everyone is doing amazing with the little miracles we're carrying! I'm so sorry for those of you having so much trouble, prayers your way. Also, props to mother's of multiples. My energy is so sporadic I have a hard time imagining taking care of more people than 1.

@Christinaruth74 my doctor asked how I was feeling physically today and I guess my guard was down and I just looked at her and said 'my vag hurts, like really bad'. She laughed so hard she had to regroup for a minute.
braxton hicks are going a little wild in the evenings. Especially this evening.... Unfortunately DH has class two evenings and run club one evening so I'm on toddler duty. I've been wanting to not have to pay attention to them and my midwife said less than 6 in an hour, don't worry. More and see if they stop when laying down. Well... when you're on toddler chase you can't necessarily lay down and they got up to like every couple of minutes and stronger tonight. Stopped the moment I laid down after DS was in bed but, again, when I'm soloing it I can't just lay down while giving him a bath or making him dinner or keeping him from destruction.
So now he's down and baby babbling and yelling uh oh but, sorry buddy, mama had to clock out.
My symptoms today include: grouchy for no reason, ready to snap at anyone who looks at me, complete useless feeling, can't breathe, and swollen feet. Let the countdown begin: exactly 9 weeks from today, I'll be holding my baby.
Bending over this morning became painful! I have to start squatting or get down on my hands and knees to pick anything up that I drop (which seems to be every other thing).
I feel like this entire pregnancy I have a steady supply of mucus coming out of my head, but it has intensified along with the lack of breathing (or maybe it just feels like it is worse since breathing is more difficult). I have to prop myself up with pillows so I can breathe at night. I am finding it hard to sleep on my sides, but not on my back - weird.
Ug, yesterday I could not be vertical. We went for our usually dog walk in the afternoon and I almost stopped walking and made FI go get the car to come get me. The lower back and pelvic pain were insane. I had to sit down multiple time since just to make it home. It started coming back while I was making dinner so I cooked in my rolling office chair.
Bubba was on my right side of a long time and last night I was feeling him on my left. So I'm hoping he just shifted into bad spot and will shift back out of it soon.
This probably doesn't need to be said but I'm gonna say it anyways: if you think something is off but don't quite know, call your dr.
I hate being "the problem patient". I actually cried thinking that calling in a symptom was creating problems... Yesterday I went back and forth on calling and decided to sleep on it. I was having lower back pain with occasional sharp pains and mild contractions. I didn't have anything like this with dd1 and I honestly had no idea if it was really contractions or the baby was just hitting a nerve. It didn't go away overnight so I called this morning. I'm glad I did because even though being laid up in the hospital for the next few days sucks, letting a possible kidney infection (or stone causing infection) go without treatment would have been much worse for me and the baby. My Dr lectured me a bit on not calling sooner. Oops.
TL;DR if something doesn't seem right, call it in. Better to be safe! You aren't "a problem patient".
@sourlemon YES! We can talk about signs, symptoms, what STM+ felt last time, but only YOU know your body. If something feels off, it's worth at very least a call, if not a visit. There is no shame in being wrong, but there will be lots of regret if you find yourself health compromised because you didn't want to be wrong.
Somewhat random, but I've been experiencing baby movements that feel really shaky or twitchy over the last week or so, almost like he's vibrating in there! It's super weird and never lasts long, just wondering if anyone else has felt this? I meant to ask dr at my appt on Monday but forgot all about it. I'm wondering if it's just really fast movement or possibly a big stretch? I know sometimes I'm a little shaky at the end of a great big stretch! Assuming it must be normal but just curious!
I've got more energy today than I have had since mid second trimester. I don't know what the heck is going on but my house looks great and I have so many lists completed and ready to go, it's amazing. I'm just taking advantage of it because who knows how long this will last.
@mforinger Is it kind of like an uncontrollable muscle twitching type of movement? Sometimes I will have a small amount of that and just a short while, but I haven't even thought to worry about it haha
@temmetime it is like a twitchy feeling! It comes and goes a lot, especially at night. I had not even considered irritable uterus like @slartybartfast mentioned and had to look up what that was. It's really not uncomfortable just a strange sensation. I haven't experienced any BH up to this point that I'm aware of anyway (32 weeks tomorrow) so I hadn't considered anything like that.
@mforinger - around 28 weeks I would have this feeling like something was shaking and it felt like the baby was having a seizure. I googled it and it seems to be not uncommon. It went away so I never asked my doctor about it.

I had this exact thought about baby having a seizure!! Totally freaked me out! But the reality of it is that it's so quick I don't think that could actually be it. Just one of those things that pops into your head! I'm going to try to remember to ask at my next appt just to be safe
Eating is so uncomfortable. One bite too many and I'm miserable. We went out for breakfast this morning and I was so uncomfortable after I teared up in the car.

- Out of breath easily. It's causing folks to give me lots of concerned looks.
