I'm not really a big drinker but we have something called Trops here and it's flavored frozen slushie alcoholic drinks in large stirofoam cups that you can take to go. So so good. You can get virgin ones but it's just not the same.
Does coffee count? I'm used to 2 cups a day... 1 in the morning to wake up and another to get through the afternoon at work! I loooooooove my coffee!!! I know they say 1 cup a day is fine but I've been reading mixed opinions on it... thoughts?

@wifeinraleigh28, yes coffee so counts! I was very strict with myself my first pregnancy and gave up coffee completely. This time around I have a 1 year old, so I just don't see that being possible. I think I'll be doing one cup most days. I haven't done any new research but I think I remember one cup being okay.
I'd say definately coffee too!! My doctors recommended for me to avoid it, however, I had a miscarriage early August and they want me to play it safe this time around. Depends on strength of coffee you're drinking but supposed to be ok in small amounts. Here's a link about coffee that I found on the babycenter.com site
@wifeinraleigh28 I am with you on the coffee. I read it can cause miscarriages, not sure how true that is, but it was enough to get me to stop. I do miss my daily run to Starbucks though
@Ashley.G Thank you for that link, it does help to break it down! I've actually been wondering if it's okay to have a small decaf coffee in the morning. I know there is still some caffeine, but it seems to be quite low and well below the recommended limit. I've also been wondering about teas that aren't decaf. It cost me a LOT of money to get pregnant, and this is also my first pregnancy, so I think I just want to be as safe as possible!

My doctor recommends limiting caffeine to 200mg a day. The kcup French vanilla cappuccinos I live on are thankfully only 30mg of caffeine each. I definitely cannot live without some caffeine. Sometimes pop is also the only thing that helped the nausea in my previous pregnancies. It also never seemed to bother either of my kiddos while nursing thankfully!
flavored vodka, I was really into the carmel flavor, and martinis. Didn't do them often but will miss them, nonetheless.

YEP! I'm the same! My in-laws during the holidays always love to make fancy cocktails and have mimosas at everything.......I will be a sad mama with my sparking cider....
An ice cold Shiner Bock beer. I was convinced I was not pregnant this month and ended my drinking journey on Friday with a bang...within 24 hours I realized my nausea went past it just being the alcohol.
