    • Emotions and crazy personality

  • Sore/restless legs at night

    Super sensitive, emotions wise.

    Tired all the time.

Needing new panties quite often during the day.
    • Swelling. My ankles were huge by the end of the day yesterday
    • Hip pain when I'm sleeping
    • Mood swings - I'm sure DH is loving that one. I feel like I'm going to fly into a crazy lady rage at least three times a week
    • So much peeing
    • Congestion - think it's a combo of swollen blood vessels and allergies
    • Braxton hicks all day
    • My whole body is just achy/tired. Going to go to yoga tomorrow and I'm sure it will kick my butt
    • Tired, but not sleeping great
Yeah, I've entered the constantly complaining stage of pregnancy.
  • Has anyone ever had issues with their liver/thyroid during pregnancy? My OB did a blood draw to check for any issues that could be causing my severe vomiting. Of course I've taken a look at what doctor Google has to say, and although I've never been told outright that I have HG, I think it's safe to say that I do have it. Dr. Google said HG can be caused by an overactive thyroid and involves a buildup of certain liver enzymes. To top it off, I've had the worst pain in my right side under my boob, and FI said that's where my liver is. I looked it up and sure enough that was right. I've thought it was Rhett the whole time and now I'm not so sure.

My blood draw was yesterday so I should hear back by Monday or Tuesday if they find anything, I think 99% of this is me psyching myself out but at the same time it would be nice to pinpoint a reason as to why I've been so sick.
  • Tired in the evenings again
    Occasional nausea
    Swamp crotch
    Constipated
    Sleep terrible

  • Swelling in ankles and feet
    Multiple panty changes per day
Muscle cramps on one side of my belly when I walk (I tend to walk fast everywhere I go so that doesn't help I'm sure)
  • Ugh had a leg cramp in the middle of the night that literally felt like my calf was about to give birth, and I was a huge baby about it. I'm also in the "need to complain at all times" club. Just can't help it anymore, feeling like an ultimate sass master and not afraid to show it! Sciatic pain is back again, hoping it is jus temporary as it was last time!

I'm sick (again) (oh and welcome to having toddler in daycare in case anyone is wondering) so the coughing and sneezing has me peeing my pants like a champ.  I also have a hemorrhoid right now which is not uncommon in late pregnancy.  I guess with twins the pressure and blood flow starts early!  My feet and calves ache.  My lower back is sore from carrying so much in front.  And I can't stop peeing, but I guess that's not new.  ETA - Braxton hicks somewhat regularly now - which scares me.

Does anyone else get weird pain/soreness in the vagina when the baby is down low?  I can feel him moving down there but wouldn't expect pain in my vagina because of it.
  • @penelope4612 I have had this happen a few times, but it's a very quick and sharp pain that doesn't last, almost a stabby feeling. It's not been frequent or painful enough to make me worry, I always assume it's normal, but this may be diff than what you're experiencing. Sorry I'm not much help!
  • Can't add anything to the liver/thyroid or vagina questions, but have one of my own. My bump gets sore - is that normal?  Mainly the bottom of it, and usually at the end of the day. I have a desk job so it's not like I'm on my feet all day. Sound like something a bump support belt may help? I ordered one from zulilly but with their shipping it will probably arrive after baby is born!

    Peeing every hour
Chest pain, which we think is heartburn but I have no actual burning sensation
    Holy Charlie horses!
    Fatigue is creeping back
Can't breathe, Squish likes my diaphragm and lungs
    Prego brain is real
    I'm a hormonal mess
OMG I sweat. All. The. Time. Especially down there. Gross.
    I'm so gassy.
Some Braxton Hicks, nothing too bad

Overall it hasn't been too bad. The return of the fatigue is killing me now. DH is waiting for me to sniss ever since he learned the term 2 weeks ago, so every time I sneeze he asks Did you sniss?

Trouble sleeping from the pain in my back, hip and shoulder

  • Savage heartburn--I have to take 2 Zantac a day to keep it down.

Pee very, very often. I still can't believe I snissed through my pants yesterday. Embarrassing.

Horned up, but simultaneously tired beyond belief--sleep quality is decreasing.

Vagina still looks like the Elephant Man...but now with pressure.

Had a hemorrhoid but Tucks makes it go away.

Irrational desire to nest, but as mentioned before, the energy is dwindling.

Also...the fear of new parenthood is starting to set in.
  • Peeing a lot, especially when I lie down

Peeing when I sneeze and cough  :/

Swamp Crotch (and I currently have a heat rash because of it. Oh joy of joys.)

    Grumpy/Complainer Extraordinaire

Sore vagina/pelvis like I've been riding a bicycle (@penelope4612 is this like what you're feeling?)

Constantly wanting food/hungry but simultaneously not wanting anything that is presented to me or comes to mind.

Very mild heartburn (I usually crunch two Tums right before bed)

Breathing heavy. It actually annoys me.

Those are definitely something to pay attention to. Vision changes are/can be a sign of blood pressure issues.

    @swhiddon33 I do. When I get it though, it's typically along with a contraction/BH.

  • and as we speak - a new one for me: a slightly painful braxton hicks! Last time BHs starting about nowish but I never could feel them and they would last for an extremely long time. I just had a short, slightly painful/uncomfortable one.
For some reason I feel like this is another good sign I'll have a more typical labor this time :) The pain was in one of the commonly described places :) (like menstrual cramps a bit)

I see the OB on Monday. My BP seems to be running fine but I'll be curious to see how it checks out at the office.  I didn't have any BP issues with DD2, but I did near the end of third tri with DD1. I'm actually more concerned it's my blood sugar, since I've been craving sweets so bad. But I do the dreaded glucose challenge on Monday too so we will see.
  • @Kate08Young hm ok. They might be for me too. I'm still not positive of the difference BH vs other sensations but I think I might be having BH more than not. Yarrrr.

  • I've gained 4 pounds this week and my hands are swollen. I think other body parts are swollen too after seeing a picture of myself taken yesterday but DH says no. According to my fitbit (which I know is not super duper accurate) my resting heart rate went from 62 to 65 this week as well.

I'm worried about the swelling and weight gain but also my blood pressure is lower than its been all pregnancy at about 100/65. The past few months it had been consistently 130/80.

So idk what's up. All my Dr said about the weight gain is "finally" since I had only gained about 3 pounds total until this week. But this much in a week seems unusual.
    DD1 5/23/14, DD2 12/5/16   Baby #3 on the way!

  • I'm sleeping like shit and I'm constantly exhausted. And this child has taken to doing somersaults i think because I'll get huge amounts of pressure in the front of my stomach and can just feel baby lying there, transverse still, with his butt out or back curled up behind my belly button. It hurts.

And ive gained too much weight though I have no idea where it is because I don't look any bigger and my clothes all still fit. I'm not wearing much maternity yet.

  • Hi ladies. I've also always had floaters but only really noticed in bright sun or against light backgrounds but I'm definitely noticing more and sometimes the flashing spots. I'm not really prone to migraines but had a few with auras just this week. Had my 28 week appt this week and had a pre-e blood panel done just as a baseline and all was good so I'm drinking even more water etc and will keep an eye on it (no pun intended). Restless leg at night is another biggie and heartburn.

I'm really tired, still.  It's basically my main symptom.
    Indigestion, I burp a lot.
    Crotch sweating
    Nasal congestion, which is annoying.
    Hemorrhoids are back.
    Acne, mostly on/around my nose.
I feel him moving a lot more!  It's not really a symptom, but it perks me up after reading a list of bummers.

  • RE: Floaters - here's possible reasons.  Also, as someone who was in the really scary end of pre-e, mention these to your doc.  They could be nothing.  But last pregnancy my BP was perfect until 30 weeks when it shot up to 200/110 and rose from there.  My signs were a really nasty headache, floaters in my eyes and blood pumping through my ears audibly.  Not something to mess around with....

Pregnant women experience floaters, and the causes of seeing eye floaters during pregnancy are the following:

    • Tiny scraps of protein trapped in the vitreous humour.
    • In the third trimester of the pregnancy, the hyaloids artery regresses to provide nutrients to the developing lens in the growing fetus. During this period, the artery may not fully regress thus there are remnants left and these leftover is seen as floaters.
    • Eye floaters during pregnancy may also indicate gestational diabetes
    • Pregnancy hypertensive disorder (Eclampsia and pre-eclampsia) can cause pregnant women to see spots floating before their eyes.

  • So Eaton is obsessed with my left side, that's where he lives. Occasionally he will visit the right with a kick but then he's right back on my left. The doctor looked everywhere middle and right for his heartbeat yesterday until I told her he favored left and she found it easy peasy when she switched over there.

Anyway, he's started kicking me hard on my left side every time I try to lay on that side. Do you think he's uncomfortable or it's a coincidence or what? I really need to lay on that side sometimes or I've got literally one position otherwise. I'm not hurting him am I?

  • @austenista - I don't know the answer. But I will say with DS, he did the same thing. I always interpreted it to mean "hey that's too much pressure where I want to be" and couldn't help but move. Then came the end when he was monopolizing my torso. I'd lay on the left and he'd push and kick saying "you're squishing me." So I'd turn to my right and he'd say "hey I had my hand there." I don't remember what I did. Probably because the resultant sleep deprivation erased my memory.

No, you are not hurting him.  It's common to feel more movement when laying on your left side.  Left side laying allows for greatest blood flow both to you and to baby - so it's suggested.  Also, its suggested if you're having a hard time counting kicks or feeling movement to lay on your left.  He's responding exactly how he's supposed to  :)

    • Braxton Hicks... and one is going on as I type this
    • So. Much. Swelling - ankles and feet. This is my worst symptom at the moment, and is making me miserable. None of my shoes are comfortable. I have compression socks coming in the mail tomorrow.
    • Sciatica nerve pain off and on. Mainly on left side, but now has moved to right
    • Easily an upset stomach, which is nice to be able to poop... goes in phases.
    • WEIGHT GAIN... I gained 8lbs. since my last appointment. Prior to that, it was 4lbs. a month. I hope some of the swelling (water retention) is to blame, but who knows. I didn't do anything different, and if anything, worked out and ate better. I see it in my legs (thighs, especially), and some in my face. Where the rest went? No idea. OB brought it up this week and I explained this to her too. BP is normal.
    • Hungry, most of the time... which may explain my weight gain. I eat until I feel good, but then an hour later am hungry again like I never ate. During the week, I try to eat smaller meals/snacks throughout the day. For example... eat breakfast at home (7ish), have a snack around 10am, lunch around 12:30ish, snack again between 3-4 (sometimes 2, but usually always some sort of fruit/vegetable), and then eat supper a couple hours after I am home.
    • Restless legs at night
    • Moodiness. I think one day a week I just feel defeated. This week it's today.

  • To those who are having trouble with restless leg and leg cramps, talk to your doc/midwife about a magnesium supplement.  It made a world of difference for me!
  • Fatigue is definitely back. The insomnia makes it so much more fun than first tri *sarcasm*

my hips feel like they are going to split in two anytime I walk even a short distance

    swollen feet and hands

general uncomfortableness seems to be the biggest issue for me right now. Oh and I'm getting random stabbing pains in my ribs.
