Twins!

We found out today we're having twins! I'm still in shock! This will be babies 2&3 for me, so I think I'm more nervous because I know what newborns are like. Anyone else know if they're having multiples?

@mia1116 Twins! How exciting!! Although I can understand the nervousness. My friend's little girls just celebrated their first birthday -- they were her first pregnancy so it was a big adjustment for them but they're all doing great. Congratulations

Thanks ladies! Im excited and nervous. This puts me right in the high risk category. And I feel like a FTM because this is already such a different experience. I'm sure the shock will wear off soon, but I still can't believe it and keep looking at the u/s picture.

Guess what, we found out today also that I'm having twins! Babies 2 & 3 for us, as well. I am so nervous. I feel like this is a whole new experience having two! No twins in my family either! I was already considered high risk after my pregnancy/delivery of DD so this just makes it extra high risk, so it makes me pretty nervous. DH was in total disbelief. I think it's gonna take awhile to sink in!

Congrats to both twin mamas! My sister in law just had twins 4 months ago and another of my sister in laws is currently pregnant with twins! It seems very challenging but also super fun. :-)

@Tammyleemoss I measured 5w6d yesterday. I did a transvaginal ultrasound and we heard 2 heartbeats and saw 2 babies.

@cekwvf Congrats!!!! So glad there is another twin mom to go through this with! DH and I are still in total shock! And agree, it's going to take a while for this to sink in. FX for both of us to have 2 sticky babies! I still can't believe I'm a twin mom! So crazy!

Congratulations! that is so wonderful! I imagine it will be stressful but soooo worth it! a good friend of mine has a 2 1/2 year old and 11 month old twins. I know at first it was difficult but they had a big community of help willing to cook, clean, hold a baby, etc and now they seem to have settled into a routine  
I'm super jealous  I'm worried my husband will want to stop after two children and i've always dreamed of having a big family, so i've been hoping we would have twins lol were your numbers high or did you have any signs it would be twins before the ultrasound??

@mia1116 I am here for any and all questions!  On my last BMB we had a MoM check in once a week (because a multiple and singleton pregnancy are not the same).  We had a couple of BTDT twin moms that would participate and give advice and it was great. 

Unfortunately being a mom to multiples also makes people think it is ok to ask strangers stupid questions like "did you do fertility", "do twins run in your family" (leads back to question 1), "are they identical" (B/G twins), "Are you sure they're twins".  I still hear them almost 2 years later lol.  And lord, don't get me started on the things people said when I was pregnant.

@chickyclg I can only imagine! Already people have started asking questions. Figure I'll just have to get used to it. And already being a twin mom is very different from a singleton. My last pregnancy was so different than this one already.

@lovebobair my symptoms are way worse this time! My nausea kicked in very soon 3.5 weeks. Now it's morning sickness on steroids. I had 3 blood draws and my numbers were within normal range, not exceptionally high.

My symptoms are so much worse this pregnancy and I am already showing quite a bit. I wasn't this big my last pregnancy until like 18 weeks so I have a hunch there is more than one in there. We will see if I'm joining the club in a few more weeks! Congrats to our twin mama's!

Congratulations!! We had our first US today and we're having twins too!! Babies 3&4 for us. I'm relieved everything is okay, but freaking out a little, too.
