Re: Weekly Symptoms Check In - 9/12/16

  • My anxiety has been horrible the past week! I think a combination of not sleeping well and hormones.. I keep having panic attacks and DH is not understanding at all.
Other then that the usual.. Bathroom. Not sleeping. Tired all the time and super out of breath.
  • I have panic attacks all of the time too. Mostly why I have to sit in front of a fan most hours of the day. Can never seem to catch my breath properly.

  • @jenesiso not that i would ever wish them on anybody ever, it makes me feel better to know I'm not alone. Good luck with yours!
  • @kristah2 and @jenesisio I'm sorry you guys are having panic attacks, hopefully you can find some calm in the remaining weeks.

I am trying to figure out what triggers my acid reflux because it is disgusting (so far bananas are one) and what I wouldn't give for more than a two hour stretch of sleep. But then again, I guess I should get used to that one for when he's actually here.

  • 30 weeks....my swelling in my ankles and feet don't seem to be going anyway, restless legs waking me up at night, and back pain! Looking forward to Baby Boy getting here!!
  • My back has been really bothering me lately. My SIL said it's probably normal back pain but it feels more like period cramps. Either way I'm uncomfortable.

Little guy is back to his active self again which is awesome! But he's started this thing where he stretches out with his feet and shoves them against my ribs or stomach. It doesn't hurt per se, but it is really uncomfortable. He was measuring 4lbs 12oz at the ultrasound last week so it's not a small amount of force he's using. Ouch buddy!
  • @MrsMaryK2016 you might consider calling your nurse's line if your back continues like that. I don't think normal aches and pains are supposed to feel like period cramps in your back. Maybe someone else can chime in on this?
  • @MrsMaryK2016 I agree with @BmcD2016 that back cramping is not normal! It can be a sign of early labor and or an infection I would defiantly call your Dr better safe then sorry.

    29 weeks:

Hemorrhoids from the constipation, still dizzy, short of breath and fast resting heart rate. I see black spots once in a while when my heart really gets going (i.e. walking around at the grocery store). Allergies (not pregnancy related, but really doesn't help the already existing congestion), slight swelling from walks, getting up 3x/night to pee (but luckily I fall right back asleep), possible Braxton hicks (tightening/squeezing/hardening in lower half of my belly), boobs started leaking colostrum a few weeks ago but it's very small traces and not every day; hoping this is a good sign for BF. Round ligament pain randomly once in a while from moving hips/legs in a stretched out position, sciatica that comes and goes in left leg/butt cheek, and restless leg that bugs the poop out of me once in a while at night. Am I missing anything??

I must say though, my boobs don't hurt anymore! Anyone else experiencing this?? They absolutely killed for the first 18ish weeks but I can't remember the last time they hurt; they're just not sensitive anymore.

  • @PrettyPalomino I worry about the black spots you mentioned. That's a sign of preecclampsia. Tell your doctor asap.
  • Does an insatiable need to eat junk count as a symptom? Cuz that's me today

Thanks for your concern! She's aware, referred me to a high risk, got a million things tested, poked/proded, definitely no pre-eclampsia, just low iron :)

  • I have been struggling with dizziness the last few weeks. Mentioned it to my ob at my 28 week appt, she didn't seem overly concerned. My blood sugar and blood pressure are both normal so I guess maybe just another symptom of pregnancy? It never happened with my ds so it was pretty alarming when it did happen. Peeing constantly, back, feet and ankle pain mostly when I stand for to long. I'm eating like a crazy person. I literally ate 4 waffles and half of my sons mini bagel for breakfast this morning.

  • @squish143 I had dizziness for a couple weeks and it turns out I was anemic so my doctor told me to take iron supplements in addition to what's in my prenatal vitamin. Within 3 days the dizziness was gone. I was only slightly anemic (seen in the results of my GD test), worth asking your OB about. My dizziness was getting really bad to the point I didn't feel like I should be driving because it was happening so often when I was just sitting down, it's much better now!

  • I have this intense pain in my right side to the point where I sometimes have to literally jump out of my seat to try to get baby girl to move....I'm starting to think she's determined to get out through my ribs

  • @mferrer11 I have something similar, it's always on the right side and comes and goes. Dr said baby is probably pushing on a nerve or something when I feel the more intense pain
  • Have my second UTI of this pregnancy. :(

    So upset.
  • @jmama1611 That stinks! Having a UTI not pregnant is bad enough...

I am so ACHY today. My back aches, my hips ache, my knees ache, my feet ache. Honestly, boobs down I am just hurting. I can not get comfortable in my office chair no matter how I sit. I am so ready to go home and lay down. Oh wait. Can't lay down - heartburn has been hanging out the past 3 nights. Ugggghhhh.

  • Lately my sleep sucks. Usually doesn't come till around 4am. I just took two benedryl just now, hopefully 4am will Bump up to 2 am lol...

Oddly enough, sleeping with an ice pack has been helping me sleep. I don't know why. I just put it on my hip and it helps the restless leg syndrome most nights. I probably go through 4 or 5 ice packs thru the night since I'm up peeing all the time anyway.

Other than that trying to keep my sugars straight. Probably shouldn't have bought that pumpkin pie today lol

30 weeks here...Sleep has been awful the last couple of weeks. My doc has okayed unisom so I'm taking half to one pill a night and its helped a lot.

Couple days ago I started having the worst carpal tunnel pain in the middle of the night...anyone else? Can't a girl just get some sleeeep? #sob
  • @lenacoilbov I've been dealing with carpal tunnel pretty much since my second month. It gets so bad that I'll wake up with burning fingertips, joints that lock up, and pain that is simply unbearable. They keep telling me to wear wrist splints, but I get a weird claustrophobic reaction whenever I wear them.to bed. Only.thing that has helped me is either an ice pack or a heating pad. I am an artist and I paint and knit and all.of that, but since the CT i can barely hold anything..I've been told it goes away after delivery.
