We can't decide on a name

Hi everyone
my husband and I are expecting a boy in November. We can't seem to decide on a name. We have 2 in mind but we can't agree on one of them. Just wanted to see what everyone thinks.
I like Kian, I could spell it Keon as well
he likes Sasha.
What do u guys think? Any opinions would be great! Thanks

My only issue is Sasha is also a girl name. I don't want him to get taunted.

I've fretted about this, my two favorite boy names had also been given to girls and I was worried about teasing. I went with the lesser known of the two, but I still went ahead despite some folks using it on girls. Besides, I can't think of the last time I've met a Sasha, boy or girl. Kian is fine, too. I've never seen it spelled Keon, I think if I saw that I would mis-pronounce it initially.

I just looked, and according to the social security website, Sasha was not in the top 1000 names in any year beginning with 2000. On contrast, Kian is rising in popularity and was #487 in 2015.

I only know female Sasha's so my mind goes straight to female upon hearing the name so I vote for Kian. I would not spell it Keon.

I like Sasha over Kian but the fact that it's been trending girl would bug me too. I thought Sasha was a nickname for Alexander. Could you compromise and give him the fn of Alexander and nn him Sasha?

I agree with PPs I immediately though of a girl for the name Sasha as the only ones I have met have been female.

I would go with Kian (not Keon)

I think male upon hearing Sasha but am not totally shocked if it's a girl. I like it.

I personally like Kian over Sasha. Mainly because I never known a male Sasha and I think my of moms female husky who she named Sasha.

I definitely thought Sasha as a girl name. We actually have Kian on our list too! For me it hasn't received great feedback but I still like it.

I'd push for Alexander nn Sasha, as Sashais traditionally a diminutive.

I've never met a Sasha in real life, and I would admittedly expect a girl because Murica, but I wouldn't be surprised to meet a boy.

Also I will always think of Sacha Baron Cohen, which probably helps skew the name back towards masculine for me. People will generally associate unfamiliar names with the gender of the first and/or highest profile person they know. (Hello all you little girls named Reese.)

I instantly think female when I hear Sasha and then I think of the actor.

Kian: k.I.an
Keon: k.E.on

Sasha is a nickname for a name beginning in S or Alexander/Alexandra in Russian culture so it can be male or female. I think female first off due to Sasha Obama personally. I like it for either gender but especially on a male would assume you had some Russian roots.
