Happy Labor Day Weekend Ladies of TTCal!
We'll start this week's healthy living check in with an inspirational quote:

Hope everyone had a great week... holiday weekends are tough, and we often splurge and that's ok! Don't let that set you back- just get right back on track!

What changes do you feel when making healthy choices/ not so healthy choices? The good/ the bad?
Re: Healthy Living Check- In *Week of Sept 4th*
1. I need to get back to a consistent workout schedule. It really brings balance to my life and I feel all around better. My goal is to workout 4 times this upcoming week. After my last IUI I really fell off the workout wagon so is time to get back into it.
2. My office is full of candy and cookies and my goal is to get my willpower back. Also I'm on progesterone supplements so I'm pretty nauseous and my stomach is messed up so its been challenging as carbs sounds good but I need to steer clear so for now just resisting junk is a good start.
3. I did make it to an Orange Theory class and a workout session with a friend last week. I really pushed myself to go and I'm glad I did. I felt like I got my ass kicked but I really needed it.
4. When I'm healthy whether it's making good food choices or working out, I feel so much better. It's like a natural anti- depressant for me and it really helps keep my anxiety at bay and I feel better and more clear headed. On the flip side when I fall off the wagon I can feel depression and anxiety creep in, my energy level is really low and it's just a crappy feeling. That said, I believe the occasional indulgence is good for the soul but when it becomes an everyday thing and starting to deplete my energy, then it's time to reign it in.

2. What are your healthy eating plans for this week? Have to go shopping and make some lunches or I won't eat at school and I'll binge when I get home
3. What were you successful in last week? I did make it to one pilates and one spin this week.. but then I ate a lot this weekend at parties. I walked a lot this week and ran a ton of errands, so at least I was on the go.

What changes do you feel when making healthy choices/ not so healthy choices? The good/ the bad?
Two weeks ago I was feeling so sluggish and very bloated. I felt like I was gaining a lot and had no energy. I hadn't' really exercised in a month and was eating like crap. This week after stepping it up at the gym a few nights a week I feel much better especially in my core area. More energy and I wake up with a smile

1. What are your fitness goals for this week? Hoping to do 2 or 3 days at my office gym and something active the others. Supposed to go try an orange theory class today with a friend who's a member but she might flake on me.
2. What are your healthy eating plans for this week? Going to try some recipes this week and take a packed lunch most days.
3. What were you successful in last week? Yes! I'm feeling much better than I have in a while. I forget how much I miss this when I'm being lazy. Eating hasn't been great over the weekend but I'm tracking my food so it's easier to make reasonable choices

What changes do you feel when making healthy choices/ not so healthy choices? The good/ the bad? I have way more energy this week than I have in a long time (although I recently had a D&C so I'm sure the pregnancy hormones were screwing with me for a while). I'm being better for my 2yo who wants to be outside and on the go all the time.
ETA: these! They disappeared. H and I are planning to go to the gym 3-4 times! This is our first week back in months so I'm excited. I pulled a muscle in my lower back this week though so I need to take it easy.
2. What are your healthy eating plans for this week? H and I started hello fresh. I want to cook every meal from that Tuesday-Friday. And make sure that if the portions are larger than I need that I portion them out correctly.
3. What were you successful in last week? Tampering down how much I was eating. I didn't make a ton of amazing choices about what food I was eating, but I didn't keep eating after I was full.

The bad is withdrawal like. I have an issue taking comfort with food after a hard day. And I really enjoy a night of eating out with H, so it's sad to let that go. But my body starts to immediately feel better. Less bloated. And mentally when I see those changes I feel good about myself and it helps me keep going.

2.) Trying to eat more whole foods. DH works nights so every night after barre I usually have a Lean Cuisine and a salad. I know this might not be the worst meal in the world but I would like to rely less on processed foods. So starting to slowly plan simple things I can make instead. Tonight I a going to make chicken tortellini Caesar salad and tomorrow I am going to make english muffin pizzas with tomato paste and some veggies. Starting out small but it stuff that I know I will be in mood to prepare and eat after working all day and barre.
3. Felt I was somewhat successful in making healthier choices eating out over the weekend. It was small stuff - DH stopped and got a milkshake when were out walking and I didn't get anything ( i never say no to ice cream so for me this is huge, lol). Having one piece of bread at dinner, bringing home leftovers from dinner. My mom and I stopped at Panera when we were out shopping and I got a really healthy meal there. I guess that is how it starts making small changes here and there.
4.) Whenever I make healthy eating choice or work out I just feel so good about myself. I feel like I am in control and am making positive choices to better myself. This is really important during this ttcal process where I feel that my self worth has really taken a beating.
2. What are your healthy eating plans for this week? I made these delicious gluten-free pumpkin muffins that I am eating for breakfast. @rainbowturtles I believe I read that you have celiac. These muffins are hearty like a bran muffin, not like a cupcake. https://glutenfreehomemaker.com/paleo-pumpkin-muffins/
DH and SD thought they were really good too. (I left off the nuts.) I prepped three crockpot meals yesterday, that way eating out is not as tempting.
3. What were you successful in last week? Just starting this week, although I feel like I eat pretty healthy. I am gluten intolerant and have eaten a GF diet for 9 years, so I do not eat fast food, or lots of carbs.

I feel energized when I work out. I am trying to be positive and look at this loss as and opportunity to get in great shape before I get KU again.

I love noticing a change in my body/energy almost immediately after at least a day of eating healthy. Less bloating and more energy are really motivating. I no longer beat myself up over indulging (moderation is key), but I notice a huge difference in myself and DH when we're off the "healthy eating" wagon.
I am so blessed to have the love of my life, my DH, est. November 2008.

2. I want to actually eat the the healthy lunches I made instead of going out for lunch everyday.
3. Not much. Last week was a bit of a lost cause for me. Back pain has made me really grumpy, and when I'm grumpy I reach for carbs and cheese. A steady regimen of Aleve and short walks have helped, but it's a slow process.
4. For me, making healthy changes always is really really hard the first month. That's where I typically fail, because I haven't established good habits yet. I find that if I can do something consistently for 1-2 months, I feel much happier and more energetic. But man, I get so cranky the first couple months because I hate change and rely on food for comfort instead of exercise.
