@slam1110 thank gif we don't have that problem!! My husband actually had to have his feet sticking all the way out from under the sheets and covers to sleep haha
@adirat and @antoto So sorry for your BFNs, but glad that you are still here! How about you, @captainfoxtrot? FX for all of you!!
I, unfortunately, did not make it that far. It's CD2 for me. I started spotting late Friday afternoon, and kept spotting dark brown into Saturday, when it let up for a bit. I had my hopes all kinds of up because the only time I've spotted was with my CP (there's that "you're regular until you're not" thing!), and tested Saturday and yesterday mornings, which of course were BFNs. Started spotting again yesterday morning, and by last evening AF showed up.
I am thankful that I at least had a 10 day LP after last cycle's scare, although I spent a good part of yesterday still feeling freaked out that last cycle and this cycle were suddenly so much shorter. My LP had been 12 or 13 days since March. I finally figured out that my acupuncturist, who had been treating me for migraines but had also sneaked in TTC support, had released me from care right before my first shorter cycle...and that I had started acupuncture in the beginning of the first cycle that I got a 12 day LP from. All this is the long way of saying that I'm totally going to pony up the money to start seeing a fertility acupuncturist ASAP since I only had the longer LPs (and the one time I got KU) while I was getting acupuncture regularly!
Seriously hope I don't see you ladies back in WTO. GL!!!

@tripledaggerWed95976 I
can’t do the tucked in sheets either! Doesn’t matter if it’s at a hotel or our
own house, I have the curl the blankets around my feet. DH loves to tease me
about it.
@delujm0 FWIW, I never
had mid-LP spotting before last cycle. Naturally, I was all excited it could’ve
possibly been implantation spotting, but no dice. I think mine was around6-8
DPO as well.
R/R: I have some sort of weird head cold/sinus thing going on out of
nowhere and it’s a bummer because it’s finally nice outside and all I want to
do is go play in the sun in peace. L
Also, it’s my last day at my job (!!!) and I start my new one tomorrow so I’d
like to be a little more coherent for that.
CS/Q: Nothing for now.
GTKY:
When staying in a hotel, do you have any "routines" while
staying? Examples: always wearing shoes, taking off the bed spread,
wiping down the remote, etc
My husband got me in the habit of checking for
bed bugs. He used to travel frequently to the remote villages here and stay in
hotels for his old job and he said checking the beds every time he checked in
saved him some miserable nights. I figured it’s probably a good habit to get
into it.
@adirat yeah, I shouldn't worry. Our timing was pretty great either way.
*TMI alert* On another note, I know most people say TTC sex is their most boring, but I don't think it's been any different for me. Nor was it during the cycles before my loss when we were trying. If anything, it's better, because I don't hurry away to clean up after and we lie there together a while. We still do all sorts of positions and me wearing lingerie often, as long as he climaxes when I'm lyin flat (usually). The only thing we don't do is go from a blow job to regular sex. Last time, I made him stop and wash off so there wouldn't be any sperm-killing saliva getting in the say. Mood kill, but whatever.
Are you guys managing to keep it fun, rather than monotonous? (Not saying that we have porn sex every day, by any means. Just saying that TTC hasn't changed much.)
Timing: -1 (we had to do a SA on -3 so we had to choose between one or the other lol)
Testing: hopefully Thursday or Friday
R/R: my boobs are so sore today it is making me very irritated. Also, my FF chart looks great this month, with a nice Implantation dip and all. I've not had a dip before and I can't stand using Google because you never know what answers you will get!

GTKY: When staying in a hotel, do you have any "routines" while staying? Examples: always wearing shoes, taking off the bed spread, wiping down the remote, etc....hmmm last hotel we stayed in was in Disney World. We checked over the room but really didn't worry too much about it honestly. They seem to do a very good job of cleaning and we weren't really in the room much other than to sleep so nothing really crossed my mind.

So sorry I can't reply today, trying to cram in a million things before DS wakes from his nap. One of them being asking my question to you ladies, see CS/Q section below...
Month/Cycle: 9/10
CD/DPO: 24/6
Timing: O-1, O
Testing: Nope
R/R: Feeling pretty stressed out today...
CS/Q: So my temp is hovering pretty low so I'm 99% sure I'm out this month. I went to get a B-complex supplement at my local health food store. It has B6 100mg and B12 100mg, along with some other B vitamins. My questions is: For those who take B complex to lengthen luteal phase, when do you take it? All cycle? Before O only, After O only? I can't find any specific instructions on when to take it, only the dosage to take.
GTKY: When staying in a hotel, do you have any "routines" while staying? Examples: always wearing shoes, taking off the bed spread, wiping down the remote, etc I always check for bed bugs and see if the bathroom is clean.
@marybpoppins we are also going with Pergo Outlast, ha! We ordered just one box a while ago to see what it was like and, yes, it is super easy to install.
@aurora1973 Sorry about AF, but yay for a normal length LP! See you in WTO tomorrow, probably.
Worse, he's Kevin (giant stick up his ass) but thinks he's Ruxin and is super clever with his "burns." So he'll start every message to us with "Hey shitsippers" or "What up, fartknockers" and I'm like "You know you're not actually ON the show, right? We're normal people?"

@Aurora1973 Oh no! So sorry for AF. I'm glad your LP was a little longer but still no fun. Good luck at the acupuncturist. I really like going to acupuncture (even though I have no idea if it's working, it destresses me so well).
R/R: I'm fairly overwhelmed right now with life in general. I cannot remember the last time I was so busy. The damage from last week's pipe burst in the house we rent was extensive, and to top it off we now probably need to find a new place to rent. In the mean time the landlord is being very accommodating for us and forgoing rent charges, but it sounds like there will be substantial work needed to restore the home (including tearing down a wall, taking out kitchen cabinets, and removing flooring), so we can realistically only afford to be in a hotel for so long. While the owner is being nice/apologetic about things, he does not seem in a hurry to get things fixed and to be honest, I don't even have the time or energy to be either mad or anxious about it. I'm more concerned with trying to squeeze a moving day into our schedule than anything else. For once in the TWW, being KU is the last thing on my mind.
CS/Q:
GTKY: When staying in a hotel, do you have any "routines" while staying? Examples: always wearing shoes, taking off the bed spread, wiping down the remote, etc. I always keep doors locked. I usually wipe down drawers and almost always have to unpack, because I can't stand living out of a suitcase even if it's one night.
@busymommy23 Totally get you. I had a dip on Saturday that freaked me out and I had to stop googling after just 30 seconds because it was all "omfg 6dpo implantation dip!!1!!!!!" and I just couldn't. Good luck.
@Travelingcouple I take a B-complex with B6, B12, and folic acid, every day (slash every day that I remember so probably 6x/wk). You can take B vitamins during all parts of your cycles as far as I know -- if you get extra B vitamins, you'll just pee them out, so you don't need to worry about build-up (unlike vitamin A turning you orange).
@magnolia131 How stressful! And how frustrating that the landlord isn't getting it together to fix it for you!
@BitterBetty12 and @Sirius37 Thanks for the well wishes. My appointment went well. I saw my endocrinologist for a thyroid checkup but took the opportunity to tell her about these luteal phase length questions (and anxiety) I have. She said that it may be something that fades away (noting that I am on 8dpo today, so I'm moving in the right direction) but it's enough of a concern to do bloodwork. YAY!
She is having my estrogen, progesterone, FSH, LH, and a fifth thing (I forget, maybe prolactin?) tested and she said she'll call me with results Wednesday or Thursday. At that point, she'll decide if this is a "wait and see" issue or a "go to your gynecologist and ask for progesterone supplements for next cycle" issue. She also said that if I turn a pregnancy test this cycle (from your mouth to god's ears amirite), I need to call her and my gynecologist immediately so that I can get on progesterone if I need it.
I called DH after the appointment and told him how relieved I feel, like next cycle might be better, and he said, "That's good, but it isn't over yet!" What a sweet guy.
Anyway I feel so much better now. Hugs to all of you for your kind words and support.
@magnolia131 I'm so sorry you're going through that! Do you currently have renters insurance and if so, did you contact your agent/company to see if this would be covered by your policy? A lot of times renters insurance will cover you to stay in a hotel, etc because of a claim but not sure if this would be covered so thought I would suggest it.

@adirat Thanks. It certainly is frustrating. @lulu1180 We do have renters insurance, and DH is dealing with them right now. They'll definitely cover the hotel for yesterday, today, and the three days of mold treatment (starting tomorrow), but that will just go against our deductible mostly. We are unclear as to whether we would have any coverage going forward (when they are ripping out walls, cabinets, etc) seeing as that the bedroom areas would be safe to stay in, but the insurance agency is trying to work with us. We may forgo the hotel at that point and stay in said bedroom area temporarily for the sake of money, but it sounds like the owner will be in and out of the place constantly now for the upcoming months. We were planning to move in January, so this really just moved our plans up a bit...it's just happened at a very inconvenient time unfortunately.
@adirat@felix08 I think I'm 17DPO but that's just based on CM and CP so I could be wrong. My cycles the last 6 months at least have been 28 days but before that I had a weird few months of 32-35 day cycles. This is my first complete cycle without my IUD so that can have something to do with it. Last cycle, my IUD was removed CD 14 but I think I ovulated a few days before and ended up with AF on CD 26 but I think that's because of hormones from IUD removal.
I did read something on the American Pregnancy Assoc. website ( https://americanpregnancy.org/while-pregnant/hcg-levels/ ) about hcg growth. If you implant later and take 72 hours to double instead of the "typical" 48, it could be lower. The range is crazy, like 5-426 at 4 weeks and 8-7340 at 5 weeks. I know I'm grasping at straws here, but it's also something I didn't know about so it's cool to learn about these things.
Still no AF, no spotting, no blood tinged CM, no cramps at this time which stinks because I'm going running later and I don't know if I need a tampon in or not lol.
@Cait32 I've been down this road before and know what drives me crazy and what doesn't. If I do testing all the time, I drive myself crazy and stress. So I just don't even keep tests in my house.

@busymommy23 there are times where DH's Mom/Grammy will make comments that we should "wait longer" to have a baby.. They'll mention the cost of "2 children in daycare" and "insurance" and other things that we obviously have thought of.. At first it really bugged me and I felt like nobody wanted us to get pregnant. It has gotten a ton better lately, but we also haven't broadcasted that we are TTC- I don't hide my feelings towards having a baby though. As long as you and DH/SO are content, I'd let it roll of your shoulder. Let everyone else act like a twatwaffle.
@busymommy23 I haven't had a BFP and I know a lot of us here haven't so my opinion is all theoretical and not from experience. That being said, I have thought about it. DH and I have only been married for a year and a half and I'm 23. I think my inlaws will be thrilled and my SIL knows we are TTC and she's supportive. My parents will be happy but I worry. Just the other day I was telling my mom about how a five year old told me to eat more BLTs to have a baby (she thought it was strange I was married with no children and then gave me advice lol) and my mom was like "Well then stay away from those!". My mom was 17 when she got married and had me. By my age she had 2 kids, working on her 3rd. I can understand her wanting me to wait because she never went to college and had a real successful career. I'm finishing my MBA in March and with DH being active duty Army and us moving a lot my career isn't really a priority right now. I still think she'll be happy, just worried that it's what I want. I found these cute announcement cards on Etsy:
I don't think we'll actually use them because we probably won't send out cards. Just tell our close friends and family in person or with a personal touch (long distance) and then FB for the rest when we feel ready.
@slavenski Thanks for sharing those numbers! I agree, I can't believe how crazy the ranges are. And I love those cards!
@Cait32 Thanks for the CS. Yep, I'm afraid that 6dpo dip is all too real. Now that I've calmed down a little from my initial worry when it happened, I read a little bit about it on the FF website and elsewhere, and it says that dips like that can occur and it's likely nothing to worry about. It is not, though, a surefire indicator of pregnancy by any means. Too bad.
@busymommy23 If they aren't happy for you, they can go fuck themselves in my opinion. Not your problem. They're not bothering to support you so why should you care about their opinion?
We haven't broadcasted that we are TTC either and I've made it known that I want another baby, which will be our last. My MIL will probably be the first to say something and I know my parents will probably follow. Their main reason is because DH has 3 girls (18 and married, 16, and the 14 yr old that lives with us) and we have our 2 boys so they all feel that we don't need to add to our family. I don't care what they have to say but worry about the hurt from them not being excited with us. I also don't think we will tell anyone for quite sometime.

And I have gotten some comments before about being pregnant/having children, from both in-laws and my family. Sometimes I think people just like to poo-poo, for whatever reason. It can be annoying to hear those comments, but, if they're not being "burdened" by it, then really what right do they have to say anything?
@magnolia131 I hope your living situation gets worked out soon... and hotels are definitely not cheap
I'm newish here. I introduced myself on the newbies this week thread. Hi everyone!
Month/Cycle: First after loss, but have been trying baby #2 for 8 cycles.
CD/DPO: I'm 7DPO
Timing: Pretty good.
Testing: No, I'm waiting for 10DPO which is still early lol
R/R: Was on a hike with DS today and a snake as thick as my arm and like 5 feet long was sunbathing across the path. I freaked out and headed back to the car. Not very good exercise today but... come on SNAKE!?! No dice. I did jog back carrying my 30 pound son who was saying "Sssssss mama Sssss" This is what nightmares are made of.
CS/Q: None.
GTKY: When staying in a hotel, do you have any "routines" while staying? Examples: always wearing shoes, taking off the bed spread, wiping down the remote, etc I use to work front desk at a hotel many moons ago and I could tell you horror stories. I always keep my shoes on, take the comforter off (because it gets washed few and far between) and check for bugs. I put the remote in a ziplock bag and then touch it.
@maebee87 re:snake- HELL TO THE NO!!! Also, would love to hear more hotel horror stories. I read stuff like that all the time on Buzzfeed. I love juicy details lol
testing: BFN today so thinking I'm out. Although I'm hoping because I have a short cycle maybe there's still a chance for a BFP. Problem is no idea when I o'd. Think I'm going to get more serious next month. AF is due tmrw so we will see if she rears her ugly head!
r/r: I just ate the most amaaaazinggg burrito for dinner that I have been craving all day! This ttc isn't working out for my weight though!!! I am in graduate school in animal science and this morning we were working some calves and I got kicked right in the knee. Have a giant bruise now and it really hurts! Hard to walk on it, super sore, and even my foot is tingly! Hoping it feels better tmrw. Also BFN..self explainatory.
gtky: I love staying in hotels. I like to pretend they are clean! Usually look around the room first then find a spot for my bag and end up pulling most of the stuff out of it! Also if I'm in a room with double beds I usually steal all of the pillows for my bed!
OK, you asked for it! @MommytoM13 and @slavenski I'll preface this by saying I live in a smaller town but this is a chain hotel. and this was years ago. The dirty - House keeping informed me of a man passed out, garbage, beer soaked carpet, diarrhea, vomit everywhere. But since the hotel was fully booked the next night, management had us book a family in that same room. They complained of the smell and found poop smears in the comforter. - Bed bugs. All the bed bugs and how bleach didn't work but we sold out rooms anyways. but don't worry, people who complained got 10 dollars off breakfast. - The couple who couldn't get the Jacuzzi to start and then when maintenance went up a used condom was blocking the opening. - The aspestice walls that were wallpapered over. As were all the water damaged walls were painted. - Bribing the health department. - Here's a fun fact: the house keepers mop cleans the sink, toilet, floors and showers for all the rooms the housekeeper is responsible for. Most times, they never change the water between rooms. Also the mops are ancient. The crazy - One afternoon a man and woman came in and asked if they could see the hotel's best room. I called the porter to show them the room. The porter was a 15 year old homely good Christian boy. He took the couple to the room. He claims the woman started taking her clothes off, the man started photographing her. He didn't know what to so he froze. The man paid him 100 bucks cash. They never did book the room.
- Also, so much prostitution that we actually had contact numbers at the front desk for pimps. My manager was suck a dirty jerk, he would say, "we do whatever it takes to please our guests."
Last one, One night a guests car alarm was going off. FOR HOURS. We knew he was in the room since when they check in we get the licence plates. Many people were complaining they couldn't sleep. We called up to the room and the man said, he didn't know how to fix it and to let it be. We warned him if he didn't turn off the alarm we would tow his car. So 45 minutes later the tow truck comes to tow the car. The man comes down with a baseball bat and starts busting up the lobby, broke the front bay window and swung at us actually hit my co-worker). He ended up in jail.
Every shift there was so much drama. It was a terrible job, but I have so many stories.
@maebee87 Holy Shit, you could write a book and I'd buy it. I bet there is one, like "Confessions of a Hotel Manager" or something lol I'll remember to check my sheets for poop streaks next time.
When we were looking at apartments, DH noticed one had a puke smell. Apparently the previous tenant (a younger enlisted soldier) had a lot of parties there and they couldn't get the smell out.

I may just fall back on that idea one day. Happy to share. The hotel had these "powder bombs" they would put in rooms that were really bad at checkout. Rooms that had been hot-boxed or puked in. They would have to be sealed for 48 hours and then fresh as a daisy.... lol Its funny how smells and decor when house hunting can make or break it for us.
@maebee87 sadly, none of those stories surprise me. I used to travel a lot and all over the country and internationally for work.
A few years ago I was in a hotel for three months for work (extended stay type). We had the majority of the hotel booked and it was our last night there. We had one room booked as the "gathering" room where we came and went as we pleased. Basically, we drank there on the weekends, played cards, the Wii, etc. We were all down there getting wasted since we had to finish off the remaining alcohol. After a long night, we all wake up and one co-worker tells us her got sick in his room. And not a good sick. Like a puke everywhere because he couldn't move and when he finally did, he made it into the tub/shower curtain. He said he left that morning and got cleaning supplies and tried to clean it himself but gave up because he was still so sick. He said he left a note and big tip for the cleaning lady. He felt so bad and we all just laughed. But reading your comments makes me wonder just how often that happens and it's not fully cleaned.

Re: TWW Monday
GL!!!

TTA: November-December 2019
NTNP: January 2020!
@BitterBetty12 Welcome! We’re glad to see you here!
@tripledaggerWed95976 I can’t do the tucked in sheets either! Doesn’t matter if it’s at a hotel or our own house, I have the curl the blankets around my feet. DH loves to tease me about it.
@delujm0 FWIW, I never had mid-LP spotting before last cycle. Naturally, I was all excited it could’ve possibly been implantation spotting, but no dice. I think mine was around6-8 DPO as well.
@adirat Good luck at your appt. today!
@MollyAndD Good for you for working out in the AM! I lasted about a whole week before I unboarded that train. I am weak and enjoy sleep too much.
@deadasthatsquirrel Welcome to TWW!
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD/DPO: 23/7
Timing: -2, O, +1
Testing:
R/R: I have some sort of weird head cold/sinus thing going on out of nowhere and it’s a bummer because it’s finally nice outside and all I want to do is go play in the sun in peace. L Also, it’s my last day at my job (!!!) and I start my new one tomorrow so I’d like to be a little more coherent for that.
CS/Q: Nothing for now.
GTKY: When staying in a hotel, do you have any "routines" while staying? Examples: always wearing shoes, taking off the bed spread, wiping down the remote, etc
My husband got me in the habit of checking for bed bugs. He used to travel frequently to the remote villages here and stay in hotels for his old job and he said checking the beds every time he checked in saved him some miserable nights. I figured it’s probably a good habit to get into it.
*TMI alert*
On another note, I know most people say TTC sex is their most boring, but I don't think it's been any different for me.
Month/Cycle: 9/11
CD/DPO: CD30/7DPO (late ovulation on CD23)
Timing: -1 (we had to do a SA on -3 so we had to choose between one or the other lol)
Testing: hopefully Thursday or Friday
R/R: my boobs are so sore today it is making me very irritated. Also, my FF chart looks great this month, with a nice Implantation dip and all. I've not had a dip before and I can't stand using Google because you never know what answers you will get!
CS/Q:
GTKY: When staying in a hotel, do you have any "routines" while staying? Examples: always wearing shoes, taking off the bed spread, wiping down the remote, etc....hmmm last hotel we stayed in was in Disney World. We checked over the room but really didn't worry too much about it honestly. They seem to do a very good job of cleaning and we weren't really in the room much other than to sleep so nothing really crossed my mind.BFP 2/2016 M/C 3/2016 @ 5 weeks
Trying for #4 since 11/2015
So sorry I can't reply today, trying to cram in a million things before DS wakes from his nap.
Examples: always wearing shoes, taking off the bed spread, wiping down the remote, etcI always check for bed bugs and see if the bathroom is clean.

@Aurora1973 Oh no! So sorry for AF. I'm glad your LP was a little longer but still no fun. Good luck at the acupuncturist. I really like going to acupuncture (even though I have no idea if it's working, it destresses me so well).
@EEL0824
Month/Cycle: 20/11
CD/DPO: 24/6
Timing: -3,-1, 0
Testing: next week.
I usually wipe down drawers and almost always have to unpack, because I can't stand living out of a suitcase even if it's one night.@BitterBetty12 Good to see you here!
@tripledaggerWed95976 I forgot about the sheets but I am the exact same way!
@delujm0 DH is a snorer, too. Although he will never admit it. I buy disposable ear plugs and use those on nights when it's out of control.
@felix08 Sorry about the temp drop
@MollyandD Congrats on the workout! I can never get myself awake and going in time.
@adirat, @antoto, and @jeg07 So sorry to hear about the BFNs.
@swanbrooner That is a great gift. Happy belated birthday!
@Aurora1973 Sorry to hear about you being out, but that is promising about your LP.
@Sirius37 GL with your first day tomorrow!
@eggplantface Gross! That sounds terrible! But who's Kevin? Do you mean Brian?
@swimsister Hotel cleanliness denial for life.

@adirat @felix08 I think I'm 17DPO but that's just based on CM and CP so I could be wrong.

@marybpoppings and @slavenski sorry for the BFN
@DungeonTrollMel I share your feelings on this whole Monday thing. It was brutal today
@felix08 sorry AF is coming... I hope you are able to get some answers soon
@MollyandD awesome job getting to Barre3! Would love to try one of those classes!
@MrsJennaSheppard03 happy to hear OPK's are giving you good/expected news
@swanbrooner that sounds like an awesome bday gift
@sirius37 good luck on the new job!
@busymommy23 hope you get your BFP!
Examples: always wearing shoes, taking off the bed spread, wiping down the remote, etcI use to work front desk at a hotel many moons ago and I could tell you horror stories. I always keep my shoes on, take the comforter off (because it gets washed few and far between) and check for bugs. I put the remote in a ziplock bag and then touch it.
Also, would love to hear more hotel horror stories. I read stuff like that all the time on Buzzfeed. I love juicy details lol
TTC since August 2018
I am ready to hear every hotel story you have.
cd/dpo: 24/?
timing: EOD during FW..or so I thought
testing: BFN today so thinking I'm out.
@MommytoM13 and @slavenski
I'll preface this by saying I live in a smaller town but this is a chain hotel. and this was years ago.
The dirty
- House keeping informed me of a man passed out, garbage, beer soaked carpet, diarrhea, vomit everywhere.
The crazy
- One afternoon a man and woman came in and asked if they could see the hotel's best room.
Last one,
One night a guests car alarm was going off.
When we were looking at apartments, DH noticed one had a puke smell. Apparently the previous tenant (a younger enlisted soldier) had a lot of parties there and they couldn't get the smell out.
TTC since August 2018
Its funny how smells and decor when house hunting can make or break it for us.
