Serious breastfeeding question

I know this may be a stupid question but I'll ask anyways... I am EBF now, next summer we plan to try and get pregnant again. I plan to still be nursing... so my question... if I'm nursing my now LO and continue to when the nexy baby is first born. Will colostrum come through? How does that all work?

Milk starts all over again for the new baby. FWIW, when I got pregnant with #4, #3 immediately stopped nursing, before I even poas. My milk had changed (obviously) and she was not interested anymore. When I got pregnant with #3, baby #2 was only 6 mos, so I think he just went along with the changed milk because he was younger. He stopped nursing on his own 3 weeks before #3 was born. I thought for sure I'd be tandem nursing-I even bought some books on it for encouragement, but he stopped on his own and never looked back. Michelle Duggar said that she always knew she was pregnant when her babies started fussing at the breast. They know before we do!

Yes colostrum will come back in for the new baby.

I was still nursing DD1 when I became pregnant with DD2. She did not show any signs of weaning, but my supply all but dried up as pregnancy went on.  Nursing became painful near the end of the first trimester, so we gently weaned.  I felt a bit bad telling her I couldn't nurse her, but by that point she was almost three, and it was very uncomfortable for me.
