Less than 100 days to go has got me like...

Realized yesterday that all of us should be at or under 100 days until we meet the littles. This was my reaction...

Who's ready for a baby?!

Re: Less than 100 days to go has got me like...

  • Hitting 6 months was a big mile marker for me. Sounds so official lol
Less than 100 days...man...better get my life together real quick lol

  • I've been starting to get worried, the nesting is setting in too! I feel like there's not much time left to prepare, and if feels like it's going so fast! At the same time I can't wait to meet him/her but I'm also terrified!
  • I have done literally zero for baby. I may "have everything" from DD #1, but I still need to get it down from the attic and organize and wash it. And I need to figure out where I'm gonna put this sweet girl because our plan is for her to room-in with us, but I need to figure out a creative (and not tacky!) solution for her clothes and stuff. None of my to-do list is super fun, so I'm still procrastinating!

I've been really anxious about not having much for the baby yet but my baby shower is Oct 9th so that's really going to be "crunch time". Until then I'm going to probably keep having these little moments of thinking baby isn't going to have anything to wear. At least baby will have somewhere to sleep since we have our crib and some bedding already.
  • @desoky01 I feel the same way! So much to do and so little time (and energy) to do it! I have got to get to business on this list I have or baby's going to come home to a half finished nursery and no clothes.
  • I haven't done anything useful to get ready for this baby since the only thing I've bought is a few mostly impractical cute outfits that match with DD1 for next summer. But I mainly need to prep the diapers and all the waterproof pads, plus wash the newborn clothes, so hopefully that won't take long.
  • I'm not worrying at all about things like clothes (though we have none for baby yet), but I'm starting to feel panicked over childcare. I need to be looking into it and interviewing places and getting on waitlists, but it just takes so much time. DH just started a new job and I got a promotion, so the idea of missing work to go visit places is overwhelming to even think about.
  • I have done nothing to get ready for baby.  But I have also gone completely baby crazy this week.  I am addicted to the labor and birth story threads on the August board.  I am so ready to meet this baby! (But in November when she's ready)

  • It's getting real, reaaaal quick haha. I have some stuff but I'm waiting to buy a lot of it until after the baby shower. We're actually moving in a few weeks too so that adds some stress to things. We have our labor and delivery tour next month which will make it even more real..and freaky
  • I've never over prepared for my kids. We are moving at the end of september so I'm not worry about a nursery or anything like that especially since he will be in our room for the first 6 months or so. We already have baby onesies.. I think all I need right now to bring him home is a car seat. Eh.. I'll get to it.
  • oh yes, I'm 88 days from EDD and reality is for sure setting in.  When I was 100 days, my first thought was cool, double digits are coming, then it was like oh shit, double digits!  My shower is Sept. 10th so I really will not do anything until after that.  I have been collecting things here and there but that is about it.  28 week appointment is on Tuesday and from there I start my bi-monthly appointments so I know things are just going to continue to go so fast and I am not ready!

  • It's getting close.   We have to finish bunk beds and reorganise the girls room.  I'd like to finish our basement reno.   I'm making Christmas/photo dresses.   Garden things, house things, etc, etc.    Oh yeah, actually prepare for baby in there but it's my 3rd so not much to do this time.

  • I'm at 81 days and holy crap am I ever not ready! Our house closes 2 weeks from today. I literally have NOTHING packed. We also sold all our furniture when we moved in January so we just bought this house and I need to not only do the nursery but literally every single room.
to make natter better.. I'm not allowed to lift anything over 5lbs until after September 15th due to having my appendix removed 2 weeks ago. Meaning I can't pack or unpack. Especially since bending and reaching both hurt too bad.
i hate feeling unprepared. I don't even know what else I need at this pioint since everything for baby is in storage.
  • I am excited for baby to get here but very nervous about the logistics of childcare. We live about 35 min from my mom and she will be taking care of baby. Thankfully DH works on that side of town and can do the drop off / pick up. I however am struggling with this because I want to be a part of that. I am seriously considering moving half way to be closer and at least do the pick-up. So many things to think about and prepare for. I have not yet purchased a thing for baby. I am on the same boat as many of you ladies, just waiting for the baby shower to take place before I buy whatever else I feel is essential.

I also get anxiety walking the baby department because I feel unprepared and do not even know where to start. I just hope for a healthy seizure free delivery and my healthy baby boy. Time if flying.

I hit 99 days to go today, and I can't believe it. The urge to nest is so strong, but nothing can be done until hubby and I move, hopefully by sometime in September. For now, I'm just trying to focus my urge to nest on cleaning and packing up small stuff so it'll be ready to move when we finally do get a place. Things are kinda stressful at the moment, so I'm trying to deal with just one thing at a time.

Since my baby shower isn't for ten more weeks (set for the day I hit 36 weeks), all our big stuff will be purchased ahead of time. Anything else we'll figure out afterwards.

So far we have only purchased some small stuff. I got a diaper bag and hubby and I agreed that until we move, we will only buy stuff that will fit in the diaper bag for now. We have also been gifted two bags of clothes and a new infant car seat.

  • I'm so excited to not be pregnant anymore!!! I'm one of those people who believes having a new baby is no big deal (it is my 4th) I mean I'm out and about when we leave the hospital... But I'm starting to collect everything I need like the bassinet, swing, premie clothes ect. (Im not having a baby shower) I'm stock piling everything down stairs so next month I can start washing and putting everything away the plan is to have everything done by the beginning of October since my dr believes that I will deliver early and as long as everything is set up and ready I will not have anxiety!
