I just wanted to tell all you NICU Moms how much respect and sympathy I have for you. You truly are amazing and your babies are so lucky to have such strong mommies. We're not in the NICU but we're in peds under the lights for jaundice and the poking and blood draws and re-dos (phlebotomist throwing out good blood draws!), I totally broke down last night. I can't imagine all the tubes and god knows what else they have to use for your little ones. I know this is a SS thread but my goodness, I couldn't not give you a shoutout.

Just keep swimming.
holding one baby and the other is in his rock and play next to me and know that their time spent there actually helped us prepare to bring them home in more ways than one. As first time parents with twins we had no idea what to do or expect and the nurses there pretty much showed and told us what we needed to do while we were home. I look at our experience as a blessing in disguise.
DH & I were FT-noob-parents. NICU RNs showed us how to change diapers and check temps. I was honestly so scared to put my arms through the glass doors of the bed and change her diaper without messing up her IV's and other lines she was hooked up to!
We also learned how to burp, feed, and bathe little Avery. Slowly built up courage so that when we did bring her home, we somewhat knew what we were doing.
