I am freaking out. Earlier I put Aubrey in her bassinet and got ready for bed. All of a sudden she made a weird noise and I looked in and she made it again and then it sounded like she was trying to breathe in but couldn't. I shot up and picked her up and she was able to breathe okay after that. I'm so scared to go to sleep now. This is the first time I've ever been worried about her breathing. She's never done anything like this before.
@Schmooie730 My friend's baby did this too. Her doctor told her it was normal, but I know it sounded so scary. He said he still have to let something in his throat fully grown. Sorry, I can't remember actual terms right now. My brain can't function on such little sleep.
@Schmooie730 was it like a gasping noise? Milo makes a funny noise when I lie him down and I asked my pedi and he actually did it at our last appt. She said it sounded like mild reflux and not to worry, just try to keep him upright for awhile after eating when we can. I'd definitely ask about it in case it's different but maybe Aubrey has the same thing?
Well she never did it again. This morning she was making noises like she was having a hard time swallowing (maybe was spitting up a bit while lying down) but no more scary noises with no breathing. I did end up sleeping but kept waking up to check on her. @stellaluna14 it's hard to describe the noise she made. She had her paci in her mouth at the time and it almost sounded like a choking/gasping/congested noise and she let her paci fall out and that's when I noticed she hadn't taken a breath in. It wasn't long by any means, just a couple of seconds and then she got one in. Fr a few minutes after that she seemed to have a hard time getting into a breathing rhythm, but she was breathing and alert while I held her
More of a bitch than anything, but a transformer exploded by our house around midnight last night and they didn't get the power on til almost 7 this morning. Missing two pump sessions is NOT kind on the boobs... At least all my freezer milk stayed frozen, it was still at 15* when the power finally came back on.

Does your pump have a battery pack as well? I just charged mine today since we had a bad storm last night just in case. Glad your freezer milk stayed frozen though that would have been awful!

The place in the area I wanted to use had a waiting list until April of 2017. I was crushed. They called me 2 weeks ago and had a random opening because someone was leaving the week before I need to start. I told myself to start looking WAY sooner but I put it off because it depressed me lol. It's a relief to know that your LO will be in good hands, but I'm going to be an absolute wreck the first few days! I almost cried leaving after the tour... You might try a trial run day where you drop him off for a few hours and pick him back up. I'm actually going back to work on a Tuesday and am doing the practice day on the Monday before. Time to get the tears out of the way lol.

I feel the need to share... I have a 3 year old and a 3 week old and yesterday I successfully went grocery shopping with both of them. Baby in carrier and toddler in cart. On Monday I baked my mom a triple later chocolate cake with peanutbutter frosting from scratch. All of this while husband was at work, and I cleaned up. I'm not trying to brag, but for the first 2 weeks I sobbed lot thinking I would never get the hang of two kids, so I'm just feeling way better about life in general! However, those of you with more than 2, you are amazing... I will be getting a tubal in the next 2 months!!
@hannahmp Awesome!!! I have also given myself some pats on the back. I have a 2 week old and 4 year old. This morning we got up at 7:40 and were out the door for DD2's 2 week appt. by 8:30. Then I successfully took a shower while DD2 napped and DD1 watched a movie.
Wow, you STM+s are amazing. I can barely handle the one! We do want more kids so I'll deal with it eventually but I can't imagine being pregnant or dealing with a newborn with more kids around.
@schaze DH has amazing paternity leave or I don't know how I'd do it. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around having 2 on my own when he goes back to work.
