This app is so horrible! It kicks me out of the birth announcements every single time. I can't read any that have happened since I last read them on Tuesday, and I can't post mine.
I finally figured out if I go on the Internet on my phone and to the website I can look at them. But I can't on the app.
  • @emmeline714 even if that meal doesn't put you into labor, I'm STILL jealous. That looks amazing right now.
  • *random lurker from july*

@midwestbaby YGPM. I also tore the same way during labor if you need someone to talk to!
  • Crossing my fingers for you @emmeline714!!

In the meantime I just woke up to a giant thunderstorm and a dream that I pulled out 8 healthy teeth from my mouth. Control issues much?? Ugh this baby needs to get here!!
  • Shame on me for thinking I could make it through an entire pregnancy without blood pressure issues. Hopefully, it's just a fluke and after a good nap, it'll pass.
  • Lost my plug today at 39+2. Made me super excited until I realized it means nothing. Could be hours, could be weeks. I REALLY didn't want to be going to work tomorrow
  • @caitlinj187 I feel the same way. I've been losing my plug since Wednesday. It was not this way with DD. Lost it all at once and that was that. It is so much grosser this way. And dreading work tomorrow. I have zero motivation to do anything. It's going to be a long week. Hoping my 39 week appt on Tuesday will get stuff going.
    Pregnancy Ticker

  • I'm finally over 38 weeks and I'm willing this baby to come sooner rather than later. She's definitely lower in my pelvis, having a ton of cramps or feeling crampy and I've been losing bits and pieces of plug for a week now. I wish there was a for sure date to go into spontaneous labor. I'm with you @LWC1112 where I really have no motivation to do anything and work is going to be painful this week.

  • @LWC1112 when you lost it all at once with your daughter, how long before you went into labor?
  • @JEMN I'm pretty swollen down there too. Due today, and not much going on. I've been doing a lot of walking the past 3 days, and get a few cramps while I'm walking, and i have been trying the breast pump as well, which makes me crampy while I'm pumping,  but nothing afterwards.  :(

@ShanRum3 glad I'm not the only one! Hope these babies make their appearance soon!
  • @caitlinj187 I want to say it was like 5 days later or so. I wish I could remember!
    Pregnancy Ticker

  • @caitlinj187 my mucous plug came out a week and a half before labor started.
  • I started to lose my plug almost 2 weeks before, came out in chunks for a few days.

@caitlinj187 with DD, I lost mine all at once and water broke an hour or so later at 38+3. I don't think that's typical though.

  • last night i kept going to bathroom and mucus plug coming out each time i went to pee, still no baby and contractions arent getting any closer than 10mins. I am working from home today.
  • @emmeline714 I don't trust my body and how it feels anymore... I had some really strong contractions this morning when I got to work... they actually turned my stomach... and it made me angry ... like "dude, stop lying to me and getting my hopes up!"
  • @Hannah0726 I woke up to a text from my MIL saying she has feeling (wishful thinking) that baby is coming soon. 10 minutes later I had a text from my good friend saying she had a dream baby was on her way. So, I figure today is a good day to get our hospital bag packed. Not sure why I've been putting it off.
  • thanks @no more miss

@Katm89 same here to the point I told DH to just leave me alone and I don't want to talk to him right now
  • @lotsofsunshine I've made a list of everything that I want to go into the hospital bag and most of it is stuff I use on a daily basis. I think that's what is preventing me from packing it.

But I put my butt into gear today and sterilized all the parts to the breast pump and did some organizing for when family comes next week.

Hopefully your MIL and friend are right! :)

@Hannah0726 I found it mich easier to purchase travel toiletries for stuff I used daily for the hospital so I wasn't running around trying to remember stuff at the last minute.
I second this. Walmart actually had a travel bag that had all the necessary things in it, i.e. Shampoo, conditioner, tooth brush and paste, and a few other things. It was cheaper than buying them all seperately.
  • @jamiesc58 @Lynnlove28 Oh duh! That's a great idea. Thanks!

On the day that our baby was born, I wasn't on my phone at all.  DH handled all of the communications, and only reached out to immediate family, whom he requested not to announce anything to anyone (and they swear that they did not!).

I received six texts from random friends that day wishing me well out of the blue and checking in (very uncommon for my circle of friends), all of whom said they had no idea that I was in labor (two weeks early!).

So @lotsofsunshine, I guess I believe in that stuff!  And I hope the same is true for you and that labor is on the way!
