Freaking out....scabies?

Sooo my brothers girlfriend, who works in the medical field, called to let me know she'd been working with a patient infected with scabies and developed a rash on her hand which turned out to also be scabies. She has handled my 2 month old and 2yr old NUMEROUS times since she's "been in contact" with this person. So now i need to check my kids thoroughly and the rash can take 6-8wks to show.  Wtffff!!!
Today i start thinking about these pimples on my 2yr old face. What if they're not topical pimples? Oh my god! Now what if my infant has it? Anyone ever deal with anything like this? I'm freaking out.
