I would hire someone to clean.

  • @mokay19 they might start you on progesterone right away, or they might wait until next cycle, it just depends on what your doctor prefers and if you can get meds today. My doctor has you start progesterone at 2-3 dpo and doesn't like starting it mid-LP, but I've seen other posters start it closer to 8-9 dpo because the 7dpo draw was low

I have tried the Diva Cup once and hated it. It was about 6 months after DD was born and I thought I would give it a try because tampons were feeling really uncomfy. I tried both sizes because the larger size was really irritating to my vagina. Like it felt every day like I had just had some sort of really rough sex and I was not a fan of that. And the smaller cup leaked every time I moved around. I don't know, perhaps my vagina is just weird. I couldn't comfortably wear a tampon for over a year after giving birth. So, maybe now they would work better. But, I got rid of them out of frustration and after wasting $80 the first time around I am hesitant to try again. Every other person I know that uses them just loves them. So, I am clearly the minority.

Anyway, after really thinking about it, the triathlon should only last a couple of hours, since it is a sprint race. So, if I put in a super heavy flow tampon right before it starts I should be good. At the very least good until after the bike part and there are portapotties at the transition. It is a pretty laid back triathlon. It is my very first. So, I have no experience either. But, after training this summer I will be super bummed if the experienced is ruined by AF.

  • @mrsstuessy Good luck!! How far do you go in a sprint? My older brother is training for a full ironman so I was thinking of those distances. A couple hours shouldn't be bad. But maybe extra motivation for a good finish. ;) Still an annoying thing to have to worry about. Let me know how it goes! A triathlon is on my bucket list, especially after finding out there's a sprint!

  • @linzrunz Yes, it is perfect for a first timer. I eventually want to work my way to longer ones. But, doing a short one first makes it less scary. The purpose of a sprint is to literally sprint the race. So, you want to go as fast as possible. (which I guess is any race, isn't it? haha. ) I guess I think of a full ironman as, if you finish the race you are a super hero, the actual time doesn't matter so much. With a short triathlon, it isn't that hard to finish, so the actual time is more important. I would love to get up to an actual Ironman length, but I have a long way to go for that. I love, love, love swimming and enjoy biking. But, running is not my favorite thing. So, that is what I have been working on most this summer. The swim is 18 lengths of a 25 meter pool . The bike is 15 miles. And the run is 3.1 miles. Honestly, running 3 miles without stopping has been a challenge for me. The swim I tried and did the first time and the bike is not bad at all, if my lungs and heart are in decent shape. The run though, ugh.
This will definitely be me at the end.

    Timing: -4, -2, -1, O

    Testing: Probably start on Sunday

R/RI'm deciding to trust my CH for now and move on over to the TWW. My body feels like it's doing completely different things at this point than any other cycle so far and I'm trying not to let that fuel any SS since it can't possibly be anything at this point. I say that even though I spent an embarrassing amount of time this morning feeling up my boobs because they seemed to feel fuller/firmer to me. *Sigh* It's gonna be a long week.

CS/Q: Has anyone used OPKs where you can pee on a stick rather than having to dip the stick that aren't ClearBlue brand? I saw some on Amazon but don't know if they can be trusted. Basically, I really hate peeing in a cup and then having to dip the stick but the CBs are just so expensive to me. I was using them when we first started trying and after the first box ran out I could not bring myself to buy more.

GTKY: If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
I'm going to go with yard work. DH thinks because I like gardening that I should also like trimming bushes, pulling weeds, sweeping leaves, etc. and I really don't.

  • @meilay I used Wondfos this month and when they started getting darker, I switched to First Response for which you need no cup (yay!).  They worked just as well as the Wondfos and showed me a clear positive.  I got 6 for $14 or something like that, on sale.

    CD/DPO: 30/7

Testing: Not unless I make it to 14dpo

R/R: Went to a different gym this afternoon for what was advertised online as a "deep stretch" class that wound up being a "barre stretch" class that was way more barre than stretch.  I ran when I woke up this morning.  I wanted to stretch, not do more hip and butt exercises.  Grrrrr.

CS/Q: Nothing really.  DD has been waking up early the past few days, seemingly STARVING for some reason.  I nurse her to sleep at night, so of course I'm like "oh god, what if I'm pregnant and she's not getting enough milk at bedtime, so now she's going to make a habit of waking up at 5:30am and screaming until we feed her breakfast?"  I mean I feel like it's way too early for hormones to affect my breastmilk production if I am somehow pregnant this cycle (we only hit O day).  But even still...I was hoping if I did get pregnant my milk production would slowly taper off, not suddenly disappear, so that I'd be able to wean DD over time.  I am likely freaking out about nothing, and she's just having a growth spurt, but that's what the TWW will do to you I guess.

GTKY: If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work? I already have a cleaning lady every other week.  DH does the yard work because he refuses to hire anyone to do it, even though we could afford it and it eats up large chunks of his weekend.  He seems to like doing it.  So I guess cooking.  I love to cook but I just don't have time right now.  And I guess I won't have time again until any children I wind up having are all at least 5-6 years old and can hang out for 30 minutes in the evenings without me so I can cook dinner for them.
  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 3dpo, according to FF

    Testing: Not yet

R/R: The doctor I work for and a fellow coworker got into a pissing contest first thing this morning and somehow, while sitting there and saying nothing, I got pulled I to it. I still can't figure out what happened. I do, however, realize I need a new job STAT.

So I had fading with OPKs this cycle, with a negative on either side of CD 15 (which was positive that day). My temp shot up CD 16, so I assumed I O'd on CD15 and would confirm with the next two temps. Well, my temp was crap this morning since it was way early, but I punched it  into FF anyway. Now FF is saying I O'd on CD14 (I'm assuming because of the CM I listed). Normally I agree with FF, but I am 95% confident I O'd on CD15. I know another high temp tomorrow will help confirm but I was wondering what you ladies thought?

My 7dpo draw was low last cycle and they started me on it  that night.

This cycle they they just went ahead and started me on it 3 days after trigger (2 dpo I think).

And for reference, if you want it, my progesterone level for my first medicated cycle at 7dpo was 10.3.  They said it was enough to say is ovulated, but they wanted it higher for TTC.

@mrsstuessy I've used Soft Cup before. It's different shape than diva cup so it may feel better. It's a disposable cup but lasts 12 hours and you don't get the TSS risks of using an over absorbent tampon on a lighter than necessary flow or from leaving a tampon in too long. Instead of it being an actual cup it's like a ring that goes over your cervix (I think like a diaphram/cervical cap but I've never used those) with like plastic to catch the flow. Kind of like a condom but not long at all lol. Google can probably tell you more

  • @mrsstuessy Totally off topic, but is that a didymos wrap in your avatar picture?
  • @clover28 It is a Pavo woven wrap. I am a big woven wrap fan/collector. And Pavo is my favorite. Are you a babywearer?

@eggplantface If you want to, you can manually remove wonky cycles from your FF stats, which should make the predictions more accurate. Select Data Analysis Tools from the menu, then look for Cycle Statistics, under the Statistics & Predictions heading. You can uncheck the box next to your wacky cycle to remove it from your stats.

There may be an easier way to do this...that's just the way I found. :)
